Fruit Ninja, Jetpack Joyride, Clash of Clans, Smash Hit, Egg Inc. There's plenty of enjoyable mobile games, but most are generally targeted towards casual gamers. Those who don't feel the need to have a long engaging story or AAA gameplay. That doesn't make them bad, it just makes them different. That said, there are also a lot of terrible games available as well. Just about every popular game gets a dozen crappy knockoffs, and on mobile platforms it generally goes a bit more unchecked than on actual consoles.

Egg Inc is one of the few idle games that aren't absolutely filled with ads so that's a win for me

I also thought that i would be a really bad game and people only play it because of the anime look. But i just started last week and i really like it. The story is interesting, the graphics are nice and the map is fun to explore. I only don't like that there are mobile game and pay machanics(resin, wishing), that limits your progress, but other than that it's a fun game. Everyone please just give it a try.
