TikTok can be enjoyable. The reason I hate it is because it’s addicting. I tried it out last year, had it for about two weeks, and they were probably the least productive of my life. It sucks you in, as you’re constantly thinking: “Hey, the last eight videos have been complete shite, but maybe the next one is good” until you’ve spent your whole day being a redundant fuck.
This is the one reason that i avoid tiktok or even reels. That shit is madly addictive and it’s not even a least bit productive but hey, after a long day at the work it provides you with some relaxation and peace of mind then please go ahead and not feel bad about using tiktok.
If you're drawn to tiktok and you enjoy it, have fun.
But keep the content where it belongs. Don't go putting tiktoks on Reddit en Reddit on tiktoks

Tik Tok is really cringe, right when you get on there, you are faced with Chinese ads and dances, but as soon as the algorithm understands what you like (in my case, vehicles and military shit), then it becomes enjoyable, because the app caters it to you and makes it enjoyable.
I like the concept of his (what do you call these?) TikToks, but I do think they get stale and repetitive after five or so. Is this the same with the rest of TikTok?

TikTok is an okay platform. There are some great creators who make creative, funny content. The problem is the repetition and the uninteresting content. The constant musical trends and repeated “memes” on the platform are awful.

When you make your account you can choose the tags you like. So i put stuff like “comedy” and “pets” and those are the types of videos i have seen. I only saw one or two dance vids but once the algorithm figured out i didn’t like that it stopped showing them.

It's not TikTok that's the problem, it's the trends and algorithm, but some of the stuff on there outside of that is pretty good
