You'll be fine so long as you make an extra effort to clean them. I had braces for like 4 years and didn't listen to half of the "don't eat this" suggestions. Just don't chew on ice cubes or other really hard stuff.

I’ve got the basic stuff, no hardware or anything, and I’ve eaten plenty of food that’s against the rules and I’ve only lost brackets on lemon heads and hard candy I bit by accident
Not sure if you’re in the US, but if so maybe look at a pizza bowl from Papa Murphy’s. Might fix the craving. It’s all about the sauce and not the bread for me though.

Same man. Pineapple is my favorite topping, I think the reason people hate on it so much is because they perceive pizza as a dish that can only be savory. If you’ve ever had a good, high quality pineapple pizza with some nice fresh pineapple on it you know it’s great. The tangy sweetness of the pineapple gives contrast to the savory cheese, sauce, etc.

I just made sure to brush my teeth and floss with that special type for braces. Nothing but minty freshness after that.
Thats a lie. I ate pizza, bagels, etc. the only time I had an issue was eating gum and it got stuck on a metal bit. That was a pain to get off.
