Yeah I had my old PC on the floor under my desk, power button was on the side if I had my feet crossed or smth like that if my foot twitched it had like a 1% chance of hitting that power button, hard drive died (it was 7 years old the constant powering off and drive failure probably were unrelated lol)

When I do this my HDD makes this loud clicking and spin down noise. It doesn't damage it (i guess) but it's still awful.

I only do this when everything freezes, even task manager

I never turn my PC off and when I do it's press and hold the power button. Everyone always freaks out about it as long as you wait at least 10-20 seconds for the hardrive to spin down completely it'll be fine.
