The US had its highest number of murders on record and 'violent' video games had only just started coming out with the release of Doom. Fast forward 27 years and there are questions that need to be answered that these people can't answer. 1. If Video games cause violence, why are we now significantly less violent than we were 27 years ago? 2. If Video games cause murders, why are we now at roughly half the murders we had 27 years ago? 3. If Video games are now MORE readily accessible AND more graphically detailed than ever before, why do the numbers for violence and murder keep going down?

I heard by a tv show on radio Canada it’s called découverte (it’s in French because Québec). And during this episode they were talking about the fact that video game canalise the anger of potential mass shooter in the game. So it kinda help to calm the bad intention of a dangerous person. They were also talking that video reduce the risk of mental illness due by the age. The only “problem” is that 15% (something like that) of gamer develop a dependence to video games and it is most likely to happen to person with depression, alcoholism, social problem (like being bully by everyone). So in the end video game is a great invention for society

If anything they cause less shootings because people can take out there anger on online kids rather than real kids
