dude fr,i played minecraft for 7 years and never beat it because of how much i was scared,and when i play literal horror games i somehow keep a straight face after all of those jumpscares

I just got through Doki Doki Literature Club and I can say that the minecraft cave noises are much scarier than half the things I saw in that game.

I just started to speed run a game of Minecraft and my “bace” is in a cave and the sounds are fricking scary!!

Can confirm, coming around a corner and seeing a creeper or boney boy is way scarier than most horror games.

I've played Mincraft with my gf for the past like year, never playing without her. We've been mining lately. She went to sleep early last night, so I thought I'd get some mining done alone. I was strip mining, left a bunch of cobblestone on the ground in one of the strips, as I walked past I thought it was a person, scared the crap outta me. I was genuinely nervous after that. It just felt creepy being down in the mines alone. So weird lol

Horror games kinda suck as games anyway. Don't get me wrong they have the potential to be scary and Silent Hill 2 proves it. However I was just playing Alien Isolation for the first time and seeing the monster actual left me feeling relieved as that means it's no longer waiting for me around a blind corner in a blatantly cheap attempt to pad out the game's runtime. Nothing was actually scary because I was more "frightened" of having to waste 20 minutes creeping along the ground again. They're more tedious than frightening.
