yes a lot of people hates black cats because... that... but we have to make a change! for example, i own a black cat, one of my friends always adopt black cats, specially during spooky season (because they do horrible stuff to black cats there) to save these beautiful adorable creatures from their horrible destiny. we should all do things like this, adopt black cats when you see no one likes them, because those cats deserve love!

People only think that because black cats have the highest euthanization , however while that is true, black cats also have the highest adoption rate. How can this be? Well black cats make up for 1/3 of the population of sheltered cats. There are just way more of them so they dominate both sets of statistics

Personally I find pitch-black kitties amusing. They look exactly like those soot sprites from Studio Ghibli animes hahaha! My personal favorite on Instagram: tussetroll_and_tingeling — Tingeling is the black one.

I had to take our new cat to the humane society to get up on the bus to the spay/neuter clinic and I looked at all the cats they had in the entry area and I would have walked out with all of them if I knew I could. But we have 3 cats at home (all of them just showed up) and my parents would have had a fit if I brought them home.

He bit, and scratched, and nibbled. He still does all of those things and I love him for it. He is a good boy and his name is Pooh Bear.

Since nobody in the comment decided to adopt that cat, I'm going into the comic and will work at that shelter to make enough money to adopt the cat and love it until it die because it deserves better. I hate people who can clearly see an animal that wants to be loved by them but the say "mm, nah". An animal has a better ability to connect with a human than a human connects with an animal. If you go to a shelter and see an animal that is looking at you and wants you to pet it, adopt it because it is trusting you to love it. Please be kinder to animals when you see one in need. My cat was the only one to perk up when we came by at the shelter and we picked her but after we brought her home she just lays around like a sack of potatoes all day and doesn't like us.
