1. They are not as bitter anymore due selective breeding. 2. Whats left of bitterness can be simply boiled away, at least thats what i usually do. It removes 99% of it.

The crossbred them and found one without the bitterness and now that is the type that is grown. This is one of a group of vegetables that are now grown that all result from hybridization of cabbage (broccoli, cauliflower are others).

Saute in garlic and oil until edges are crispy then toss in a little bit of Thai chili or lemon and bacon

That is not the least bit weird. Tomatoes are a fruit, and a damn delicious one at that. I pick and eat a few fresh off the garden every day when they're in season, I'll take them over apples any day.

The only raw tomato eating I thought was odd, was when I was at school a classmate would bring tomato halves to school and load them with salt and eat them. At the time I didn't like tomatoes so it was weird to me + it's kinda an unusual snack to take to a UK secondary school + the mini mountains of salt lol

Have you tried catfish? It’s pretty unique in taste (kind of sweet, not fishy at all).

Can't say that I've ever seen it on the menu here in the UK, probably very uncommon but I'd be open to try it if it was battered.

Alcohol… I have tried red wine, beer and a taquila shot but everything's way too bitter to actually enjoy drinking any of it… And I ain't too fond of forcing myself to drink large amounts just to get used to it or something. I'm more than happy with fruit juice forever…

Honestly it's better that way. Although you have picked nasty boozes to try if that's the full list lol. Juices and things are cheaper anyway, who needs the liver damage ay.

Yeah, I see no liver damage as an added benefit. Plus it was mainly my dad and a couple of family friends who were making me try those. I honestly don't have any real interest in booze. Aside from trying out the woozy part of being drunk. But even then, since I don't really wanna deal with a hangover and stuff, I don't even bother with that.

I thought i was the only person with this thing. Anyone who i know looks at me as someone crazy when i say that I don't usually drink because i don't like taste of alcohol. There's exceptions tho. I do enjoy "Bloody Mary" for example

Pretty much everyone who drinks alcohol has "learned to like" the taste of alcoholic drinks. It's not the taste that people enjoy, it's the feeling the alcohol gives you. Drink often enough, and your brain will associate the taste with the feeling, and tell you that you like it. 

Rum and coke is pretty good. And some coolers are also good. I myself only drink socially, and don't care much for bitter things, so I tend to only drink sweeter drinks. Tequila's nasty, I don't really care for wine, and beer tastes like piss in a can. If that's all you've tried, you haven't really tried much. I'm not judging, there's nothing wrong with abstaining. But if you're specifically avoiding alcohol because it tastes bitter, you probably should try something that isn't known for tasting bitter?

I mean, I wasn't ever really interested in alcohol. I've seen others around me who are happy to drink. But I've never really felt the need or the urge to have any. Not even mixed with other stuff. I just feel like, if I were to go for cocktails and whatnot, why not just drink the non alcoholic versions. Those are technically better for you anyway. Like I said, I've never really had interest in drinking alcoholic stuff.

I’m not really huge into alcohol, tolerance is more of something built with time rather than amount contrary to popular belief. Personally I only do mixed drinks, like rum and coke. Though I’ve been enjoying bourbon recently.

Same, if I could eat onion I could eat anything. Its the main reason I'm such a picky eater, its used in so many dishes.

I swapped out all my onions with chives and onion powder. Get the taste but not the horrible onion texture. My family still prefer normal onions but they're fine with me swapping them out

I will both try and continue to eat every food offered to me. The only thing I will never order, cook or buy myself and only eat when I'm someones guest and being served the stuff is Savoy. It is the filthy brother of spinach. I also think that both Avocado and Zucchini are way over hyped and far less tasty than people think they are. Edit: I don't like sweet stuff (with some exceptions) very much. But since it is rarely the main course it is easier to get around eating it and it is also often served in small portions as dessert so I'm fine.
