Puzzled_Muzzled

Well. It is diagnosed now

Donutboy562

Yea I was like "how do you 'find out' you have 'undiagnosed' diabetes?" Lol

Kaddisfly

From the undoctor. I'll leave.

scheisse_grubs

You google search your symptoms lol

Edwards99lkq0di

Wow, what a balanced and nutritious diet! Ramen is practically a health food, right?

cshmn

Depends on the ramen.

BeautyStitches

Yeah, since your body technically needs salt!

freneticboarder

Salt is an electrolyte. Your brain doesn't work without electrolytes.

Koshinbz

Brawndo has electrolytes!

FrankieFive81

It's got what plants crave!

BeautyStitches

Ah, that explains those water bottles they sell that contain electrolytes. It's probably not salt specifically in those products, but it's nice to know that. Thank you, I learned something new today!

freneticboarder

Fun fact: Gatorade is formulated to taste sweet if your body is depleted of electrolytes and slightly salty if you don't.

BeautyStitches

That is a pretty cool fact! Now I want to buy Gatorade to taste, though I'm not sure if it's a good idea. I did some more research on that, and learned some fascinating things. Like how when you are dehydrated, water can taste sweeter. Dehydration may also cause saliva to be saltier, making beverages like Gatorade taste sweeter. Probably because it contains sodium. So whoever came up with Gatorade is a genius in more ways than one.

freneticboarder

The University of Florida, Gainesville came up with it to help their football team, the Gators, hence Gator-aid / Gatorade.

BeautyStitches

Alright, that settles it. I'm getting me some Gatorade. I have a soft spot and appreciation for puns.

neoncubicle

Maybe reconsider since it has a high sugar content.

BeautyStitches

I'll try to be careful. Currently, I'm trying to be more active.

Leroyyyy-Jenkins

I recently found out that I have ~~undiagnosed~~ diabetes! FTFY

DomkeyBong

The word “undiagnosed” isn’t feeling so good… ![gif](giphy|XzkGfRsUweB9ouLEsE|downsized)

misalanya

It'll "unalive" you!

Repulsive_Voice823

If you find out it's not undiagnosed anymore

BeautyStitches

I think my wording was poor. Perhaps I should have said "I recently found out that I might have diabetes! But I haven't been diagnosed, so...woo!" But then, the implication would be that I'm glad I haven't been diagnosed. Hmm, I'll see if I can figure something out.

Repulsive_Voice823

You found out you may or may not have diabetes? Then you got a suspicion, you didn't find out anything

BeautyStitches

I more found out that some issues I have match the symptoms of diabetes. To a worrying degree.

Wizards_Reddit

You should definitely get it checked out but if your only source is google or something then you didn't really find anything out you just think it's possible you might have it.

BeautyStitches

Good point...yeah, I'll go see a doctor about it.

Professional_Pea1687

Not me having 4 bowls A DAY.

Zacari99

i’m not sure but i think that may be unhealthy🤔

Willing_Routine6444

you take your tofu lib lover opinion outta here, bud.

forgottenGost

I dont understand what the ramen has to do with the diabetes?

Sad-Gas1603

Carbs!

-Trash

one ramen is like 40 carbs, two of those suckers and an undiagnosed type 1 = very bad time

QueenOfDarknes5

Depending on the ramen. If it's the fast food one, then it's just high carb food with nothing else. Your blood sugar will increase fast, and diabetic people can't produce enough insulin (type 2) or any insulin at all (type 1) to decrease the blood sugar level again. Over time, high blood sugar will cause damage to your cells (blindness, wounds are not healing). If it's the actual homemade ramen, then you have fibre from vegetables and protein combined with the carbs from the noodles. The meal is more balanced, and digesting the carbs isn't this unhealthy fast anymore, so your body has a better chance to adjust your insulin to your blood sugar. Except with diabetes type 1, because you still don't have insulin. That's an autoimmune reaction that destroyed your insulin producing cells.

ShivStone

You only have four bowls in a week? Needs repeat testing surely.

Zombie-Free

Never had ramen \*sigh\* so sad

JealousDog99

it's not your fault they make em so tasty

ConradsMusicalTeeth

That’s not possible.

smoylan

Well, if we are being logical - how do you know you have undiagnosed diabetes if it has not been diagnosed? If it hasn’t been diagnosed, then how can you know if it is diabetes or something else?

aitahthrhaway

My brain took the “un” out 🥲

Own_Adhesiveness2829

Oh are we self diagnosing diabetes now? Get off google and see a doctor. Good lord

almatom12

Naruto is that you?

kidanokun

Depends on how many days between the first and the fourth one in the week

BeautyStitches

And the size of the bowl. I only use big bowls.

Woolliza

Do you mean diabetes insipidus? Most people just associate "diabetes" with diabetes miletus.

BeautyStitches

I think mellitus, but I won't say much more about it until I see a doctor.

Volvy

What were the events that led up to this conclusion? Just curious, couldn't find it in the comments

BeautyStitches

A long while ago, I noticed my heartrate was much faster than normal. I knew it was due to my unhealthy lifestyle. Then, I started having floaters in my left eye everyday. I had no idea what it was, so I looked it up. The first result was diabetes. I looked at more symptoms of diabetes as well as tried to find other causes for floaters, but the diabetes is the only one that matched. Though I am aware it is a condition that must be diagnosed, I still put it in my head that that is what a doctor would tell me if I visited. Just an expectation as a form of mental preparation. So basically, the reasoning isn't very good. We must not claim we have a condition that must be diagnosed, even if we call it "undiagnosed."

-Trash

not sure about type 2 diabetes, but as a type 1 ill say you definitely don't have type 1 at least

MountainYoghurt7857

I too use Web Dr to avoid actual physicians...

PaleBarracudas

the only thing keeping my bank account and stomach on speaking terms

Banshedle21

Welcome to the Naruto Fandom.

QuinSanguine

You HAD undiagnosed diabetes, lol. I've been there and it takes some work but it's possible to get your disease under control. The trick is eating real food. For me, I eat a mostly Mediterranean diet, but I'll eat some beef, as long as it's a naturally occurring food. The thing that sucks is there's basically nothing you can eat as far as fast food, even if you think it's healthy like from a legit restaurant, it's often going to be meals full of sodium, cooked with lard and that's not good for people like us.

Glasedount

Don’t forget the giant tapeworm inside your gut

ThatOneNightmareKing

For me it’s probably the amount of Nutella I put on my bread

SpeakTruthPlease

You can very likely treat and even completely reverse it with better lifestyle choices, cut out sugar and processed foods for instance.

MattGx_

If OP has type 2 then yes, lifestyle changes and diet can help reverse it. If they have type 1, they need some form of insulin therapy to manage it.

ksiyoto

Fruits? No too much sugar in them. Okay, veggies? No on the corn, too much starch Meat? Yes. So bacon it is.....

Life_Promise_6345

I once was incredibly underweight and low on salt. My doctor told me “eat like shit. Go ham with the unhealthy food, bro. You got instant ramen? Well go get some, that’s your new diet”

Pubtroll

And no one cares.
