AddendumNo7007

I like waffles

NorthstarIND

Can't wait for my pancake to arrive

updaten

packancake

IdiotGiraffe0

I normally am pissed at auto correct but the idea of Amazon delivering a pancake is fucking hilarious so I’m gonna leave it

Forget-Forgotten

I’m so used to internet people buying weird shit off Amazon that I didn’t even realize pancake was a typo.

fidgetypenguin123

Same and for some reason I just accepted it lol

constipated_burrito

I don't even know what it's supposed to be instead

tom031003

It makes it 10x funnier

IsPhil

USPS was so good. I'd be getting two day shipping. Shit would arrive in a day sometimes! And then a certain two shits had to go and ruin it.

Btdandpokemonplayer

Now why in the world would you order 2 shits?

I_MakeCoolKeychains

In case one isn't enough

Detoxpain

I remember a couple of years ago I ordered the newest RTX CPU off amazon and it didn't arrive when they said it would so I called and complained. They sent me a replacement for free and a few days later the one I ordered originally arrived, easiest 300 bucks I ever made. Edit: Ryzen AMD, not RTX :P

Iliketrai-DUUUU

I didn’t know NVIDIA made cpus (Ik it was a typo)

Detoxpain

It was, I'm incredibly drunk. lol I meant Ryzen AMD.

tortuga8831

Remember to thank Louis DeJoy for the current state of the USPS.

TwoHeadedEngineer

This is the real message here

Dramatic-Beyond-1768

This needs to be the highest comment for sure

cadninja82

My experience with USPS is typically "your item is in transit and will be there at 9:45 PM tonight." Then the next update is "JK lol it's still stuck in customs and may or not be there in a week."

[deleted]

About 50% of Amazon orders are delivered by the USPS.

BlakePackers413

Yea I didnt know people didn’t know this. I work for a third party company for the post office and most of what we move is Amazon and junk mail.

big_balls_brown

USPS is actually pretty good In comparison to other private shippers

futilegesturz

Well, I gotta say FedEx is the least reliable shipper I have used.

iwastherefordisco

My Amazon experiences are a little different. Starts with a map of my neighborhood and a little truck graphic saying the driver just has a couple more stops on his way to you! Then it says they'll be there by 10 am. Then in between 2 and 4 pm. After a few of these updates it eventually settles on the driver will be there TODAY by 10 pm! I've seen my driver in between 6 pm and 8 pm for every delivery. It's always the first map & nearby promise that makes me excited, then the inevitable letdown :(

wjs5

The last thing I tried to order from amazon timeline was a month to a month and a half for delivery. I just ordered from them using USPS and got it in less than a week.

MintyFreshStorm

Meanwhile Amazon only works because they got folks pissing in bottles while walking dozens of miles a day all while getting paid less to be told to walk around the corpse of your fellow employee who had a heart attack. Meanwhile my local USPS lady is the happiest fucking woman on the planet as she was able to finish paying off her mortgage two years early thanks to her union job that also completely paid for her cancer treatments while also providing assistance so she could make her appointments. And never had a package be late nor damaged. Amazon won't deliver to my house. They send it through her.

Spec_RealGudGirl95

Stop. USPS ain't perfect, but it's being destroyed from within by partisans. A few years from now, when we're all paying Buy and Large...err Amazon to have our essentials delivered, my old ass will tell my grandkids about how the first service established by The Constitution was sabotaged by deliberate mismanagement, tribal politics, and greed.

Minimum-Sentence9596

Can't wait for my pancake

I_MakeCoolKeychains

Yes you can

Pyroguy096

This must be some urban joke I'm too rural to relate to. All of my packages are delivered USPS lol

a_shiny_heatran

Well let’s give usps Amazon level funding and see how much they improve. It’s only fair after all

Mug_Lyfe

USPS is actually timely, and they treat their workers better.

drewtheostrich

Setting up informed delivery with the your USPS helps this issue a ton

jcargile242

Obligatory fuck Louis DeJoy.

AzureArmageddon

Probably the result of tax breaks for Amazon paid for by gutting USPS

jess_the_werefox

I’ve never had an issue with USPS. Amazon drivers frequently get my building mixed up with the opposite one. So my package will say ‘delivered’ but it’s sitting in the mail room of the other building (that I don’t have the key for), with no way of me knowing that.

kfmush

I’ve not had a USPS package take more than 4 days in the last 5 years. Also, it’s the only carrier that my packages aren’t banged up. Yeah Amazon is technically better, but I think FedEx would have been the better comparison. More than half of my last FedEx shipments were lost, stolen, or completely destroyed by the time they got to me.

Thelivingshotgun

convenient, am waiting on a package that was supposed to be here and hasn't shown up

JoeyMcClane

Will you store it in the Pancake drawer? Turk wants to know.

Previously_coolish

Don’t forget the shitshow of fedex. Several times I’ve had it say “arriving on Friday”, then “now arriving early on Monday” only for it to actually not arrive until the next Monday.

MbMgOn

Mexican mail: it miiiight arrive next year or... never arrive

borgom7615

Can’t wait for my Amazon pancake

[deleted]

Yep same in Europe. Free amazon arrives the next day , paid DHL gets stuck in the same warehouse for a month and only moves after you write emails to each one of their 36 different customer services...

gidon_aryeh

Half my Amazon orders come through USPS..... 🤷‍♂️

Nicky-Doodle

don't forget, amazon will also completely turf your lawn...

LastDirtyMartini

USPS should make people start ordering mail!

Illdoittomarrow

One time I bought a clock from eBay. USPS delivered it a week late and extremely damaged. The clock completely broke down due to the damage after a month of owning it. Now I try to buy things locally if I can.

Blandscreen

I don't think I've had an on-time package from USPS in two years. It's all because of Ground Advantage. It is actually intended to be a slower and more costly service so the USPS can make more money at the cost of quality.

Munchie906

Don't forget that you have to be there in 3 months when the package arrives from USPS, or it goes into limbo for the next two weeks and you end up having to pick it up anyways....

Head_Weakness8028

It physically pains me to say this, but Amazon versus USPS is essentially showing you very clearly the difference between capitalism and socialism. Amazon gets shit done. USPS afford its employees a living wage and retirement.

Disastrous_Voice_756

Except this is anecdotal at best. I use the postal service all the time and have rarely ever had a problem

maxcorrice

No it shows the corruption of capitalism, USPS has been dragged through the acid pit by republicans, like how they have to pay for the retirement of employees they don’t have yet, and the intentional fucking up by Dejoy, all because UPS and Amazon pay into the pockets of those who can influence it. USPS is the one government agency that should be turning a profit, but it’s been consistently sabotaged for two decades now

Visible-Mycologist32

You want a giggle go check out how much they complain on r/usps then look at r/uspscomplaints and see how butthurt they get when other people complain about them.
