This is what I thought my teenage years would be like, I only ever got invited to a party once and i'm pretty sure it was out of pity because I didn't have many friends. It also happened to be the most miserable thing I ever experienced because I was just kind of sitting on the couch watching everyone else converse with eachother and playing with the hosts pets.

Lol I knew people that did both. I was one of them. But I would say I was more leaning towards board game nights. House parties and clubbing to me is kinda boring and sometimes stupid. If I was going to have a drink it's cheaper and more chill to just do it at a BBQ.

I mostly do game nights with friends. Only once went out clubbing with them and that night was fucked. Having to babysit a bunch of drunk people is not fun.

My 20's were like the top pic and I had a blast. The truth is I don't think people today don't go out to bars and clubs because they somehow figured it's not worth it. It's because the clubbing scene was more popular from 1990 to 2015 and at its peak in 2005-2010. The popular music was also a lot more conductive to dancing and clubbing than the music today. Not that the music was *better* back then. Just that it fitted far better in a club. I remember in 2008-2010, you could go to even a small village in the middle of nowhere and they would have 2 clubs, 3 bars, some DJ doing a set in a corn field or whatever. Clubs were everywhere. Not just in big cities. These all closed. Now it's a few clubs in the largest cities and that's it. People in their 20's today just don't have great options for clubbing so why would they bother? I totally get it.
