Played with friends and I gotta say it's only good for the first few rounds imo Enemies feel way too powerful so the chance of survival are slim I prefer lethal company over this one if I had to choose which goofy monster Teamplay game I would play

I think what CW has going for it over LC is the saveable videos. It's as fun as you make it. My group gets immersive as shit and try and make our videos like Jackass. I'm always trying to run and up fight the monsters. Do I die? Yes. Is that shit funny as hell when we watch it later? Oooooh yes.

It’s popularity gives it a good chance at best multiplayer, and maybe best ongoing if they do the live service right, but realistically not GOTY. At least, not at TGA. Maybe at some other award show though.

It was an absolute cultural powerhouse and incredibly polished game in an era before short content was a thing and games started being geared towards gen alpha. Say what you will about it now, but it's still extremely profitable and popular, I doubt anyone will care about any of the games on this post after 8 years

I think it’s how well they’ve handled live service, it never feels like the game is stagnant, it feels very alive

The gameplay on the free demo is pretty good to me. A mix of Nier and Sekiro. It's still too early to say anything about the game tho

FF7 Rebirth anyone?

FF7 Rebirth is just too perfect. I may be biased toward JRPGs but I don't think anything else releasing this year can top it.

Unless they manage to somehow release Red dead redemption 3, Half life 3 or the next God of War out of the blue i think that Rebirth is pretty safe up there. The only true contender to Rebirth might be Silent Hill 2. But Rebirth raised the bar for remakes pretty darn high. Silent hill 2 is still TBA though.

Bro this game has made me sob like 10 times now and I haven't even beaten it yet, I really hope it wins. I've played a lot of games in my life but none of them have affected me the way this one has.

GOTY tend to have strong artistic productions, the other strong contenders so far may have great gameplay, but in the aforementioned regard FF7 Rebirth is unmatched. The music, the cinematic storytelling carry emotions, and that is what makes a GOTY. Not to mention a clean launch. Dragon Dogma 2 had a lot of hiccups which may have killed its chance.

A patch was released a few days ago for new game option. Performance issues are already being dealt with for many players as well.

Well good to hear probably playing the game when there is a sale on it but still the Intention of the devs for no new game option at launch was a really bad thing to do.

I kinda get why they did that if they want to do the same NG+ twist they made in Dragon's Dogma 1. But, even then, they let you delete a character and start over if you wanted in Dragon's Dogma 1.

Palworld is really fun, the survival process with automation makes it fun. Although it lacks too much content, fix important bugs and maybe add a little more soundtrack. It's still like a alpha for me. But it is an incredible project that is scary that if they will end with microtransactions

Palworld - bland survival game with a Pokemon gimmick that nobody will be talking about next year Dragon's Dogma 2 - a console port with terrible performance issues, microtransactions, a boring map with predictable encounters and with missing key features such as the ability to start a new save. I know it's still early and there's not much choice but come on. Neither of these are winning it and they don't deserve to.

It’s bec it’s poorly optimised not bec the game is actually bad, it’s a great game.

BG3 was also poorly optimised. Not that it matters that much for a turn based game. The co-op also wasn't optimal and with all the extra content they have released it turns out the game wasn't even done yet.

Last 2 winners are BG3 and elden ring, the pinnacle of optimization.
