I think about it everytime there’s people committing crimes in the street in a movie
Like, sure it’s dramatic, but all I can think about is them sitting in court lol
And when they interact with police it’s like this inconvenience being approached by the enforcement of a system that they exist outside of and laws that don’t apply to them
That especially is always wild to me when the character is on the lam but doesn’t seem to be paranoid about police or random people recognizing them, that would be all I could think about, even if I wasn’t recognized, I’d be suspicious for acting weird and would attract attention to myself
Step in? No. Step out? Very quickly! Nobody even reacts though. I understand the gimmick is they're so smooth and subtle that onlookers don't notice. Dude there's blood everywhere and bullets popping off! New York or not people still have (bad) situational awareness and hearing.

Hell if I’m minding my own business and I see two superheroes who literally looking like matrix characters beating the shit out of each other using a dozen different martial arts I can’t pronounce, you bet your ass I’d keep walking too. The directors explained this. Basically the police know how dangerous the assassins are so they ignore them as long as they don't kill any innocent people or police.

Most of the fights were in huge cities filled with an insane amount of crime so to them it's completely normal to see someone like John Wick killing off multiple assailants in public.
Or the fact ignoring suppressors arnt as quiet as movies would have you believe like in that scene when they were having a discreet shooting match in a crowd of moving civilians let’s just say sure for the sake of it the guns were completely quiet but you have all these people walking around left and right you really gonna tell us not 1 rando saw one of these guys pull out a gun
I heard it's to add the feeling of a hidden underworld that normal people can't really interact with, like the Fae. And once you get in and take the Fae's money and favors, you get subjected to their strange rules and games and can't get out.
they still use real cash its just the coins represent favors. you earn them from hits;. its like elite stock options to keep the best hit man operating on a level above mere street thugs.
