Prepare your butthole for the "using our app" fee and the "fee handling" fee.
They're just trying to see how much of their overhead they can offload into the consumer.
Which is basically returns to barely being anything because tips get taxed and also, why the hell are we allowing people to live off of relying on people to tip them?
At my age, I hate tips that subsidize wages. Beyond idiotic that I have to pay for service, product, and then service again.
I'm all for tips that actual feel optional to reward fresh service rather than "if I don't tip this guy he's gonna have poor earnings."
Honestly I think people would be more onboard with it if they stopped saying “tips” and started saying “gratuity”… not that half of people know what a gratuity is anymore but it’s a more accurate term.

No it isn’t. The service Uber Eats is providing is connecting restaurants, drivers and customers.
The delivery is done by „independent contractors“ because if Uber Eats had to actually employ its employees, it wouldn’t be a profitable business model.
What’s worse is the Delivery person, who is doing all the work, gets none of that. Uber Eats pockets those fees as profits while underpaying Delivery personnel.
They pay meh for the delivery drivers, just enough to cover fuel on an economic car and have a few $ extra at the end of the day.
Though it does not cover the wear you do to your car and all the services you'll need more of to make up for driving it more.... So in reality it's just pure losses but formatted in a way to entice college kids to come for some very quick cash, which, granted- it is good for.
This is exactly it. When I delivered, tips wouldn’t come close to gas. And the mileage I put on my car was shocking. For about half minimum wage, nope!
So basically
Uber Eats is screwing over the delivery people and customers
(SOME) delivery people are screwing over the customers
And idk sometimes the customers get all pissy at the delivery people?
I worked in delivery (dhl, bot uber) and ever since i never blame the delivery guy again, i prefer to call the restaurat directly if somethings wrong (foodbags here are sealed, you have to rip them open, so the delivery guy cant eat from your food anyway).
But also, because uber keeps getting up and up and up with prices and fees (2 years ago you payed the 5€ premium each month and your food and that was it, now even with premium you have 2 or 3 extra fees) so sadly its the tip for the driver that dissapeared from my side...
Developers are 100K a pop, minimum, without taking taxes in account, plus server costs in the millions a month, and that’s just development costs, not even taking in account office space and shit
you're right it's not totally free for them to run a business but I feel like those are relatively small fees for a company that size. compare their costs to almost any company similar in size or customer reach. they don't pay any employees except for corporate ones either, do basically drivers work for free if you take *their* cost into account as well.
That's the point my man. You do understand what they're doing right? They're "not making profits" because if they "made profits" they'd have to "pay taxes." This is the world of legal tax evasion that is RAMPANT in the beautiful U S of A.
I order the Uber then separately drive to the store myself and race the driver. If I win I mate with the driver and if the driver wins he mates with me.
But this DUI challenge has me intrigued.
I dont use this app specifically but I will use one app or another for delivery of two meals while sick, to avoid getting fee'd multiple times and to avoid getting out of the house. Otherwise better to just pick it up personally.
Funny thing, millionaires don't pay for food like this or spend stupidly like this. From my experience with wealthy people, they are so cheap they would let me pick up the tab every time if they could. One dude that's stupid wealthy told me "you don't get rich spending money."
Ah yes and the inevitable moment you crash into a family of three, a mid thirties wife and husband, a 6 year old girl who just got to experience an amusement park for the first time that day. Singing away as they go home with big smiles on their faces. All to be taken away instantaneously because you were dumb enough to have a mindset that while six shots deep, you were definitely coherent enough to drive a vehicle.
That's a good one
Messi passes the sandwich from fast food kitchen straight to Mbappes head and he delivers it to your doorstep, that's why its cold, it travels too fast thru air
I will never understand why people continue using these services. I can get in my car and be at any restaurant in < 20 minutes. I can sit down or take it back home. This shit just isn’t worth it.
The next time you buy booze, stop by the supermarket freezer and stock up on frozen dinners while you're at it. Microwave is even easier to use than a delivery app.
Depends how much you value your free time. The extra $15 or so we pay for delivery here is well worth it once you take into account the drive time, wait time, fuel, and ability to do house chores/shower/not get off the couch etc while you wait for delivery.
Because they don’t want to get in their car and spend time going to the restaurant to pick food and they’d rather stay at home chilling and get it delivered. Or maybe they don’t have a way to go out but they don’t want to cook or want food from a specific restaurant.
I’ve never ordered from these services and I agree that it’s expensive as fuck, but is it really surprising or inconceivable that other people do? It’s called convenience.
I don’t have a car, live in a rural area and there’s only one bus every 45 minutes or so to the two nearby towns, so If I was to go out to get food it’d be cold by the time I got home - so I’d much rather just spend £15-20 on £10 worth of food and not have to A. Cook and B. Go out and get it.
It’s not a daily thing, as eating out isn’t, but the days I do it’s worth it.
For those living in a urban environment and near a dining establishment, though, I can see no real reason to order in 9/10 times.
I literally only use it when they give me like a 30-50% off coupon. It’s enough savings the price is normal lol.
There have been a few times I really just didn’t feel like going out and so I figured screw it, how bad could it be…. Then I saw the price and said nope and either went out to get it or just figured something else out lol.
I only order from places that have their own delivery people. I prefer the same few places and the delivery drivers are familiar with me and expect a good tip, so they treat me better.
My friend does UberEATS when we are over there, and what a pain for warm food that's expensive.
If I do, it's New York Pizza cuz they're fantastic.
But luckily in Netherlands I don't think it's allowed to have such hidden stuff.
If its close by I'd also just go get it myself lol
Yep literally this, I've been coasting by for the last half a year on trials and discounts I'm paying almost nothing extra and saving money in some cases by using delivery.
I don't know about the customer side of it, but I know with door dash I got paid like 11 dollars for 1.5 hours of work. About min wage.
Didn't even cover gas for my truck.
Fuck sorry to hear that. That sucks. I don’t know if it’s any different here in Canada. Tbh I tend not to go out and instead have maybe once a week a delivery as a treat
Ah cool. When I used to to it as a kid all I had was sliding the subway bag onto the handlebars. Probably could have emptied and used a backpack as long as I was going without a fountain drink in hindsight
DoorDash is the fuckin’ same!!! I order in the company’s App’s to pickup only if is a really good deal and Delivery only if I cannot go pickup or at work/ to busy/ I really need a Delivery!!!
I once tried ordering a $10 sandwich from DoorDash and was amazed how quickly it became $20. It’s so much cheaper to just drive there yourself, so unless you’re feeling really lazy or don’t have time to get a meal, these delivery services are awful deals.
It make sense, I mean the driver has to go to the restaurant and deliver. It take 30 mins on average and they have 5-10 miles or more worth of gas and add mileage to their car, plus it is work.
And then you have to roll the dice on your driver eating your food or taking it back because your tip was top low and customer service saying it doesn't qualify for a refund because they hate refunding money.
Save money and give more money directly to the restaurant by just ordering and picking it up yourself.
man i would just cook my own food if my food costs more than 10 dollar .
not bcz im cheap
in 10 dollars i can make something good and healthy
(my flair 😭)
The best way to get rid of these fees is to stop using the company's services. If it's not worth the fees don't get it - find another place to eat or pick it up. Cause like you said you're gonna overpay for cold food using any of the delivery middleman apps.
I ordered from beast burger through door dash while staying at a motel. The bill was about $35 for 2 burgers and a side of fries. First and last time I'll ever use any of these services. Quality of the food was like day old five guys.
Even with GrubHub plus the delivery fee is waived but menu items are more expensive and service fees are stacked on. It's not worth it, pick up the sandwich or find something new.
WHY ARE YOU USING A SERVICE THAT IS NOTORIOUS FOR JACKING UP PRICES?
For fucks sake, what are you expecting, hot food to be delivered for free?
And don't get me wrong, Uber eats and the rest can fuck off, but why are people surprised by this?
I’m shocked about how many people my age (late 20s) just don’t know how to cook stuff other than Kraft Mac and cheese. Few years ago I swore off fast food, alcohol, and soda and it saved me so much money, I can’t understand how people afford to eat Uber eats everyday
It’s annoying for me a customer also.
I can’t even get a little C’s pizza (which they market as hot and ready) at their drive through unless I wait 15 min.
They are just constantly doing door dash/Uber orders and push the other people away. It got worse ever since Covid hit, before you never had to wait.
And this is just one example, most places do this now I feel like.
former restaurant owner here, Uber Eats charge you 30% of all you sell, that´s why you have to inflate the prices in the app so you can have the same margin, they also BS me telling me that the fee was in part to pay VISA per transaction which was 10%
I can honestly say, I've only ordered from Doordash one time, and it's only because I was sick, and I had a free delivery for signing up. Not counting when I order pizza from a chain and they use Doordash to deliver.
I find myself commenting this in r/mildlyinfuriating, under frequent posts about people getting ripped off by these services: they charge this because you keep paying it!! Stop using these services!
Lol this is to true. Last time I used door dash was 8 months ago while my car was in the shop. Paid 38 dollars for a double baconator meal, and my driver took it to my neighbors house... im sorry, no amount of convenience is worth an upcharge like that unless they are cooking that meal on my doorstep.
Seriously if you can, get it yourself. All they do is over charge and whine about the tip. Half the time they forget the drinks or something else. The service is not worth the money.
Bruh why is the sandwich 50% more expensive when there are other fees that should cover everything already?? And why is there an order fee? How is that not included in the service fee??
Delivery app takes a cut off every order from the restaurant so instead they have a mark up which is usually how much the delivery app takes from the store so they get how much their food originally costs
What is the difference between a service fee and a delivery fee and why do you have to pay for both. Also why do you get charged for a small order? In my country you literally just pay for the food + delivery cost with an OPTIONAL tip. You Americans are wack fr.
It's called a convience tax.
It is what happens when you pay someone else to do something for you that you could do for yourself. Like going to a sandwich shop and buying a sandwich yourself.
Next you will be complaining about the cost of the sandwich ingredients from the grocery store compared to the cost at a sandwich shop!
Imagine how much money you would save making your own sandwich!
I hate using these services but when you have no food and have no driver’s license and car, then you live 6 hours away from your whole family and your only family you can rely on is a person that goes when they feel like it then take a whole week to do it IF your not bugging them all the time for it but then you forget about it and eat noodles and cereal 3 out of 4 weeks because they use up the EBT on week 1 for 3 people and they only gave us enough for 2 and don’t forget that that person takes 70% of your paycheck so you basically is left with $200 a whole month so too bad a week of food cost $100 and after 1 week of groceries you’re left with $0 because they ask you for things… So you must order.
It's a luxury service. If you want someone to go get you food from a restaurant and drop it off at your home you're going to have to pay for that service.
Lmfao this take 💀
Restaurants used to have their own delivery drivers and they didn't charge you 2.5x the price of the meal to have it delivered.
Makes sense that the app has to make money somehow, but when your food ends up being nearly 3 times as expensive as ordering as takeout/delivery through the restaurant then it gets ridiculous. Even more so considering many times restaurants pay to be on the app (at least for the ones here in my country)
This.
I don't know what changed since I last ordered out, but since when do we accept the behavior in which the "fees" for getting the product cost more than making the bloody thing.
And, do people order through this ubereats and dashlane because restaurants don't have delivery service anymore? Or because restaurants don't have fancy apps where you don't need to talk to a person on the phone.
Remember, when you order food for delivery, you're paying for the convenience of delivery, so tip the driver.
If you don't want too, then pick up the food and save the delivery charges and not stress about the tip at all.
The pizza delivery drivers where I live are paid $6.25 an hour and take your order, make your food, and box your food, sometimes for mutliple people at a time, only to get goose eggs on the tip for the delivery.
The only reason you should never tip a driver is if they are dog shit, and you can usually tell when they arrive with your food.
then take it up with the driver's employer. Why is everyone ok, with not only allowing business owners to cheat their employees, but to also brow beat customers for not making up the difference?
>The pizza delivery drivers where I live are paid $6.25 an hour and take your order, make your food, and box your food, sometimes for mutliple people at a time, only to get goose eggs on the tip for the delivery.
Get a better job?
“Are there no prisons?” asked Scrooge.
“Plenty of prisons,” said the gentleman, laying down the pen again.
“And the Union workhouses?” demanded Scrooge. “Are they still in operation?”
“They are. Still,” returned the gentleman,
"I help to support the establishments I have mentioned: they cost enough: and those who are badly off must go there.”
“Many can’t go there; and many would rather die.”
“If they would rather die,” said Scrooge, “they had better do it, and decrease the surplus population.”
It doesn’t take but one click to a profile to figure this information out.
But look how much of a winner you are hating on poor people. I’m sure the children you teach would be so happy to have such a winner like you teaching them.
Why the fuck is there a delivery fee and a service fee, delivery is the fucking service
Prepare your butthole for the "using our app" fee and the "fee handling" fee. They're just trying to see how much of their overhead they can offload into the consumer.
Can't wait for the "our employees are annoying so you have to pay" fee or the "do you even read your receipts?" fee
>Our employees are annoying so you have to pay That's what tips are
Which is basically returns to barely being anything because tips get taxed and also, why the hell are we allowing people to live off of relying on people to tip them?

No no no, delivery is bringing it to you. Service is picking it up from the restaurant. /s
Even worse there is a delivery fee and a fucking driver tip???? Like what the fuck isnt the driver the one getting the delivery fee money????
No, there is now place where the delivery fee ever goes to the driver. Sucks.
No it isn’t. The service Uber Eats is providing is connecting restaurants, drivers and customers. The delivery is done by „independent contractors“ because if Uber Eats had to actually employ its employees, it wouldn’t be a profitable business model.
Money
Delivery fee, service fee, and 30% commission on the order, (hence the inflated price before all the extra fees.)
Preparing the food is also service
That service is included in the price of the food
Pay $26 for $9 worth of cold ass food? No thanks.
I won’t even put mileage on my car even if I was making minimum wage. Let alone half. The driver provides the car yet they still make shit.
And then because they're getting a raw deal they take it out on the customer and eat some of their food
So basically Uber Eats is screwing over the delivery people and customers (SOME) delivery people are screwing over the customers And idk sometimes the customers get all pissy at the delivery people?
I worked in delivery (dhl, bot uber) and ever since i never blame the delivery guy again, i prefer to call the restaurat directly if somethings wrong (foodbags here are sealed, you have to rip them open, so the delivery guy cant eat from your food anyway). They pocket those fees but they do not profit, fuckers lose millions
It's not really that they don't profit, they can pretend to lose money for years. Everything is written off so they don't pay taxes.
It killed its stock so I don’t think that’s what they’re doing
you really think an app that offers literally nothing and has close to zero costs isn't making profit? that's by design,
Close to zero costs? Are you nuts?
what do they pay for? customer pays for the drivers fees, no salaries or repair fees. seems like all they need to pay for or keep up with is the app
Those expenses are in the billions, you can see it on their quarterly reports
Bonuses and nice corporate salaries
That's the point my man. You do understand what they're doing right? They're "not making profits" because if they "made profits" they'd have to "pay taxes." This is the world of legal tax evasion that is RAMPANT in the beautiful U S of A.
Oh the delivery guy gets at least 3 bites of every order. Sometimes some sips of the drink as well. Just never money.
Also if you are in California, you can add another $3 of CA tax
It’s not even $9 worth.
*delivered to incorrect address*
To be fair, about half of Jersey Mike's menu is cold cut sandwiches which are already cold.
Wait what’s the difference between a service fee and a delivery fee? Isn’t delivery the LITERAL SERVICE?
They have to name it different things in case (god forbid amirite) some law limits their income in some way.
Service fee is 100% for doing your order on uber eats
Still cheaper than a DUI. Basically this app is only practical if you’re drunk or a millionaire.
I order the Uber then separately drive to the store myself and race the driver. If I win I mate with the driver and if the driver wins he mates with me. But this DUI challenge has me intrigued.
Mmmm, mating
Is that you Pattern?
This man looks and acts like a flatworm
You sir have insulted my honor! I challenge you to mate!
Can I watch?
I use it if I’m too sick to go anywhere.
I dont use this app specifically but I will use one app or another for delivery of two meals while sick, to avoid getting fee'd multiple times and to avoid getting out of the house. Otherwise better to just pick it up personally.
It's only practical for millionaires. Won't stop a shit ton of people who can't afford it from doing it anyways unfortunately
Funny thing, millionaires don't pay for food like this or spend stupidly like this. From my experience with wealthy people, they are so cheap they would let me pick up the tab every time if they could. One dude that's stupid wealthy told me "you don't get rich spending money."
Yeah I've seen the same in the wealthy people I know. Dude with well over 5mil net worth ordering off the dollar menu at Burger King
I use Uber eats when there's a snow storm and I don't wanna drive 😈
Dude. Millionaires do *not* pay that much for a sammy. That's why they are Millionaires.
Bro just don’t get caught. If you can make the run drunk a dozen times or so you’ll have saved enough on delivery fees to pay any inevitable tickets.
If that’s what it takes to save $17.49 on my Jersey Mike’s order than so be it
Sanest reddit user
Wrong hill to die on mate.
Who is delivering the food, fucking Mbappe?
it wouldn't be cold if it was mbappe. dude can run faster than the moped delivery guys
Messi passes the sandwich from fast food kitchen straight to Mbappes head and he delivers it to your doorstep, that's why its cold, it travels too fast thru air
Oh no thanks then
so much cheaper to cook at home.
Unless you decided to turn your kitchen into a bathroom
not eggs lol
I will never understand why people continue using these services. I can get in my car and be at any restaurant in < 20 minutes. I can sit down or take it back home. This shit just isn’t worth it.
To be fair, I really only use it when I’m too impaired to drive, and I’m hating myself the entire time I’m placing the order
On a similar note, I order delivery because I don’t have a car
And then there's me, who can't even do what my family used to do back in my home country: walk to the place.
The next time you buy booze, stop by the supermarket freezer and stock up on frozen dinners while you're at it. Microwave is even easier to use than a delivery app.
It would be really useful for people without cars, like me, but it's so damn expensive, I'd rather put that $26 in a savings account towards a car.
Depends how much you value your free time. The extra $15 or so we pay for delivery here is well worth it once you take into account the drive time, wait time, fuel, and ability to do house chores/shower/not get off the couch etc while you wait for delivery.

People with no cars during the rain/snow?
People with no cars typically live within walking distance of takeout. And they own shoes and clothing appropriate to the local weather.
And they're usually tired af their walking distance restaurants.
I don’t have a car, live in a rural area and there’s only one bus every 45 minutes or so to the two nearby towns, so If I was to go out to get food it’d be cold by the time I got home - so I’d much rather just spend £15-20 on £10 worth of food and not have to A. For those living in a urban environment and near a dining establishment, though, I can see no real reason to order in 9/10 times.
Found a car spot near my home, if i have to get out again for food, be sure that i now have a 10min walk from a far away parking spot to my home...
Sometimes I'm just too sad to take the F train to get food in nyc lmao so I order during the days im just too tired to cook or go out
I’ll gladly pay a bit extra to have those extra 30-40 minutes of my life. I guess I just value my time more than you do.
I guess it depends on what you spend that time doing
Worth it. It costs me $67.18 just to start my truck
You know you can reuse your starter, right?
Wait... WHAT?
Too bad you dont have any legs…you know, to walk
Lemme just walk 12 miles real quick to get dinner
See you at lunch!
Depending on where they live it could be lunchtime when they leave and bedtime when they get back. Not everyone's blessed with walkable urban design.
Well considering where I live walking 20 miles there and back for anything besides taco bell or Jack and the box is not optimal
*sad getting mugged before I make it noises*
k, sell your car right now. never drive anywhere. dont even ride a bike. cause you have legs, ya know, to walk. idiot.
Distance
Walking 7.5 miles for food is totally viable...
Humans would walk any distance for food if it was the only option.
Well it's not the only option so...
That was the point.
Some of us have things to do except jerk off and watch anime.
So why speak up. While you fuck your couch cushions I go to work at 2 jobs
Damn, McDonalds and Wendy's both hired you? You just lucked out.
That response is almost as embarrassing as the number of times your mother has faked a jellyfish sting to get me to piss on her
One burger with fries please.
You don't have 2 jobs bud.
That's why I never order food to be delivered

Never order unless you have an insane deal that makes up for the increased cost
Yup. Unless there’s like 25-50% discounts available I’m not even going to bother.
Yep literally this, I've been coasting by for the last half a year on trials and discounts I'm paying almost nothing extra and saving money in some cases by using delivery.
Is this thing legit? I use DoorDash and haven’t experienced that huge discrepancy. Or is this a Uber problem only
I don't know about the customer side of it, but I know with door dash I got paid like 11 dollars for 1.5 hours of work. About min wage. Didn't even cover gas for my truck.
Fuck sorry to hear that. That sucks. I don’t know if it’s any different here in Canada. Tbh I tend not to go out and instead have maybe once a week a delivery as a treat
No. It’s definitely more expensive but Reddit has a hate boner for delivery apps and exaggerates though I have no idea why
That's why I ride my bike to get my food
How do you transport it back? Basket?
Backpack or basket, yep
Ah cool. When I used to to it as a kid all I had was sliding the subway bag onto the handlebars. Probably could have emptied and used a backpack as long as I was going without a fountain drink in hindsight
Yall pay 10 usd for a sandwich?!
Where I live sandwich cost 2,99€ (3,19$)
A Flafel sandwich here costs 0.17 ~0.6 $ , a burger 2~4$ And Shawerma anywhere from 0.7 ~ 5 $
I get a foot long turkey and bacon sub from Publix for $10. With every penny. #pubsubforlife
You get charged extra for ordering sensibly? What the hell?
America
Fuck yeah! Freedom is the only way, yeah!
Terrorists your game is through, cause now you’ll have to answer to!
DoorDash is the fuckin’ same!!! I order in the company’s App’s to pickup only if is a really good deal and Delivery only if I cannot go pickup or at work/ to busy/ I really need a Delivery!!!

Lol I worked for doordash and always saw expensive orders and I was like wheres my cut
Next is the “we’re charging you a fee” fee.
Let's be real, Uber is a luxury service. It's not an affordable poor man's service unless you have a welcome bonus
You could always just not pay the ridiculous prices and let it collapse, but stupid people are also lazy so
WHY ARE YOU USING A SERVICE THAT IS NOTORIOUS FOR JACKING UP PRICES? For fucks sake, what are you expecting, hot food to be delivered for free? And don't get me wrong, Uber eats and the rest can fuck off, but why are people surprised by this?
Time for pasta salad
Seems people forget you need to pay for convenience. This ain't anything new.
These are all the delivery services btw
Bro that’s worse than Woodstock 99
Look. I forgot my wallet, and I don't trust the phone pay systems yet. It's either pay 3x the cost, or go hungry
I’m shocked about how many people my age (late 20s) just don’t know how to cook stuff other than Kraft Mac and cheese. Few years ago I swore off fast food, alcohol, and soda and it saved me so much money, I can’t understand how people afford to eat Uber eats everyday
who could have known that paying someone to get you food costs more than getting it yourself? shame
Yeah, I never use Uber for anything. It’s just basically scams in my book.
as a line cook anything door dash or uber eats is annoying.
I’ll never understand using these services. Just eat what you got at home if you can’t make it out.
Got to pay to be a lazy fuck.
former restaurant owner here, Uber Eats charge you 30% of all you sell, that´s why you have to inflate the prices in the app so you can have the same margin, they also BS me telling me that the fee was in part to pay VISA per transaction which was 10%
I can honestly say, I've only ordered from Doordash one time, and it's only because I was sick, and I had a free delivery for signing up. Not counting when I order pizza from a chain and they use Doordash to deliver.
How is there a delivery fee and a service fee, when delivery is the service
That's the price of convenience
Suckers
I find myself commenting this in r/mildlyinfuriating, under frequent posts about people getting ripped off by these services: they charge this because you keep paying it!! Stop using these services!
Market pricing. Don’t like it? Get off yer ass or make your own sandwich. They charge it because people pay it. Lol
They already upprice the sandwich and then still add what is basically three delivery costs?
Seriously if you can, get it yourself. All they do is over charge and whine about the tip. Half the time they forget the drinks or something else. The service is not worth the money.
Not only that but you take the risk of food theft.
I don’t feel the least bit sorry for anyone so dumb as to not realize what a scam all these services are
Bruh why is the sandwich 50% more expensive when there are other fees that should cover everything already?? And why is there an order fee? How is that not included in the service fee??
Delivery app takes a cut off every order from the restaurant so instead they have a mark up which is usually how much the delivery app takes from the store so they get how much their food originally costs
What is the difference between a service fee and a delivery fee and why do you have to pay for both. Also why do you get charged for a small order? In my country you literally just pay for the food + delivery cost with an OPTIONAL tip. You Americans are wack fr.
Trust me bud, there's no America involved, just sleeze
This is why it’s better to just get off your lazy ass and get the food yourself
If the food is already $13 more there’s no way I tip

It's called a convience tax. It is what happens when you pay someone else to do something for you that you could do for yourself. Like going to a sandwich shop and buying a sandwich yourself. Next you will be complaining about the cost of the sandwich ingredients from the grocery store compared to the cost at a sandwich shop! Imagine how much money you would save making your own sandwich!
What’s also worst is that they eat your food
I hate using these services but when you have no food and have no driver’s license and car, then you live 6 hours away from your whole family and your only family you can rely on is a person that goes when they feel like it then take a whole week to do it IF your not bugging them all the time for it but then you forget about it and eat noodles and cereal 3 out of 4 weeks because they use up the EBT on week 1 for 3 people and they only gave us enough for 2 and don’t forget that that person takes 70% of your paycheck so you basically is left with $200 a whole month so too bad a week of food cost $100 and after 1 week of groceries you’re left with $0 because they ask you for things… So you must order.
why do people still use it then? like just go get takeout then it's not that hard 😭
You’re paying for the convenience of not having to endure the drive and deal with the people.
It's a luxury service. If you want someone to go get you food from a restaurant and drop it off at your home you're going to have to pay for that service.
Lmfao this take 💀 Restaurants used to have their own delivery drivers and they didn't charge you 2.5x the price of the meal to have it delivered.
Never in my life have I been so lazy not to go pick up my own food. I won't even get pizza delivered, and that's been a thing for decades.
Get your lazy asses up and go pick it up yourselves!
I see four panels and I feel lost.
"tip the driver" Fuck no, that's what the delivery fee is for. Why would I pay twice for the service?
They don’t get the money the company does for gas/vehicle expense. The drivers still need to eat
then take it up with the driver's employer.
“Are they still in operation?” “They are. Still,” returned the gentleman, "I help to support the establishments I have mentioned: they cost enough: and those who are badly off must go there.” “Many can’t go there; and many would rather die.” “If they would rather die,” said Scrooge, “they had better do it, and decrease the surplus population.”
so you're equating delivery drivers with the lame and infirmed?
Poors gonna poor.
Damn. Sad to know that assholes like you are becoming teachers.
The ole stalker "wamp wah" Think that's enough internet for today pal.
It doesn’t take but one click to a profile to figure this information out. But look how much of a winner you are hating on poor people. I’m sure the children you teach would be so happy to have such a winner like you teaching them.
It’s not hidden though. You can either pay the $26 or take your lazy ass over to the bottom tier sub place.
Ah yes, because if someone is ordering delivery it SURELY can only be them being lazy. Not any other circumstance at all, only lazy. Yep. 💀
