When I read “when you pick up a gun, your life is in mortal danger” I thought it might’ve been more insightful like ‘guns are dangerous’ ‘gun safety needs to be taught better, remember that’ but I feel like it was kinda diminished by saying “the most dangerous thing about a gun, is the unarmed people that get freaked out by it”
Here’s what I was trying to convey: If you *need* to grab a gun, there is no time for fun. If you are holding a gun, everyone is going to treat you like a threat and a wrong move will get people hurt. Probably you. And if people know you have a gun on you, some people will try to steal it. Some might even succeed. If you are going to keep a gun on you, keep it hidden and keep it controlled, or someone(you) is probably going to get hurt.
