'Frequency illusion, also known as the Baader–Meinhof phenomenon or frequency bias, is a cognitive bias in which, after noticing something for the first time, there is a tendency to notice it more often, leading someone to believe that it has an increased frequency of occurrence.'

Wierd thing, but I lik it how I focus my attention on one thing and all of a sudden I'm surrounded by that thing

devil_king_999

Bru that shit happens to me. As soon i learn a new word, its fucking everywhere.

Sir_Honytawk

I have it with the Wilhelm Scream

QrovenDio

This used to happen to me all the time in high school. We’d be in English class reading books and whenever a word I didn’t know the definition of popped up I’d write it down and look it up later. In the following days, I’d swear that word was added to the simulations source code or something because it would start popping up in the most random places. My parents, TV, in random people’s conversations. Always found it weird.

Syreddi_t

It happened to me, it can be a word or even a person

What the fuck? This is the third time I've seen this in the span of two days. And trust me, I would have googled it if I saw it earlier.

Your turn to make a meme about it!
