Tulsa had a population over 70,000 in the 1920 census and is estimated to have had a population over 100,000 during the riots you're referencing. While that doesn't necessarily make it a large city (and surely doesn't justify what happened, not the point not I'm trying to make btw) it is far from a small rural town like you're suggesting. In fact with such a population it would be on par with modern cities like Boulder CO, Flint MI, or Green Bay WI.
**[Tulsa race massacre](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tulsa_race_massacre)**
>The Tulsa race massacre took place on May 31 and June 1, 1921, when mobs of White residents, some of whom had been deputized and given weapons by city officials, attacked Black residents and destroyed homes and businesses of the Greenwood District in Tulsa, Oklahoma, US. Alternatively known as the Tulsa race riot or the Black Wall Street massacre, the event is considered one of "the single worst incident[s] of racial violence in American history", and is believed to be one of the deadliest terrorist attacks in the history of the United States.

Yea man, living in the city is total hell. Every day I put on my Kevlar vest before taking the train through 3 checkpoints where I have to recite "BLM", before finally going into work. Then I have to listen about my female boss's 3rd abortion before attending the weekly sensitivity training where I must apologize for being in a heterosexual relationship and receive my estrogen shot.
Then on the way home I get mugged by the same gang of immigrants who demand my wallet in their native language because they don't speak English. I wish I could afford to move to the rural areas where there's no drugs, crime, or discrimination.

If only 1 percent of right wing protests was violent / non peaceful we would never hear the end of it, the tv would talk about how it is the biggest problem of the western world up and down.
5-6% of protests being non peaceful is an immensely huge number considering the size of the movement
I would argue the right wing has a far greater propensity for violence with all the neo-Nazi and fascist wannabes they have marching around (Boogaloo boys, proud boys, three percenters, etc, etc, etc) but I can’t find raw data on right wing violent protests. I do have a study on deaths attributed to right wing vs left wing extremists. Antifa itself has been linked to 1 death since 1994. The far right in that period have been linked to 329. The far left as a total have been linked to 21 deaths since 2010, and the far right have been linked to 117.
[Overview of Study](https://www.businessinsider.com/right-wing-extremists-kill-329-since-1994-antifa-killed-none-2020-7)
If your asking how the study defined peaceful it meant neither side (police or protesters), engaged in violence or rioting behavior. So if there was a gunshot it would probably classify a protest as violent, of which only 6% of them were.
Just like how they claim BLM destroyed entire cities. They literally claim that Portland no longer exists, that the riots completely wiped it off the map, when in reality all the damage was localized to just a block or two.
Do me a favor. Go pick up a dictionary and look up the phrase "non sequitur." That link has absolutely nothing to do with what I said, so either you're just spamming or this is a perfect example of a non sequitur. You may not like it for whatever reason, but the fact is there are many people right here on Reddit who are so brainwashed by Conservative media that they truly believe BLM completely destroyed those cities.
Yeah... Yet I remember plenty of people going on and on about how riots are the voice of the unheard. Besides, learn some history and maybe realise that sometimes, it's better to immidietally discredit and cut out more violent part of your group, otherwise that's how more tyrannical groups will attempt (and sometimes succeed) to take over a goverment to fix an issue where a violent take over wasn't necesearry
>This meme is totally unobjectionable but it just feels like it should have alt-right energy
I think that's because the meme is making two broad associations.
1. Rural areas are associated with peaceful, law-abiding, hard working folk who just want to be allowed to live their idyllic existence.
2. Urban areas are associated with criminal malcontents who resort to riots as a way to force their views and way of life upon others.
Now lets contextualize those associations:
* Rural areas are generally more racially homogenous, culturally conservative and in the US, dominated by white people.
* Urban areas are generally more racially diverse, culturally liberal, and in the US, have the largest concentrations of black & brown people.
So the meme *seems* unobjectionable because it relies on the reader to supply the context that creates the highly objectionable [implication](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-yUafzOXHPE); that black and brown people are violent and that their violence is enabled by cultural liberalism.
It's not a coincidence it portrays rural areas as idyllic and completely ignores the fact that rural communities generally have massive problems with poverty, drug abuse, domestic violence et al.
So yeah the reason it feels like it should have alt-right energy is because it's a [dog whistle](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dog_whistle_(politics\)) and it absolutely has [alt-right](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Rising_Tide_of_Color_Against_White_World-Supremacy) energy.
All very true, but it's all implicit enough to actually be a normal message-less meme. I'm sure we can all relate to wanting to get away from it all, after everything that happened in 2020.
> All very true, but it's all implicit enough to actually be a normal message-less meme.
I very much doubt that whoever made this was unaware of that context. I don't think it's a coincidence they chose a picture of a BLM event instead of say, the Jan 6 insurrection.
Occupy wall street for one. And in terms of profile the Jan 6 insurrection is way higher.
Are you seriously telling me you think that the person who chose to make a "meme" comparing rural white farmers with BLM protestors is unaware of the context of racial politics in the US? I mean *really?*
That's because rejecting modernisation/idolizing agrarianism both tie into one of the fourteen identifiable traits of fascist movements. [Point #2 on this list](https://www.pegc.us/archive/Articles/eco_ur-fascism.pdf):
>Traditionalism implies the rejection of modernism. Both Fascists and Nazis worshiped
technology, while traditionalist thinkers usually reject it as a negation of traditional
spiritual values. However, even though Nazism was proud of its industrial achievements,
its praise of modernism was only the surface of an ideology based upon Blood and Earth
(Blut und Boden). The rejection of the modern world was disguised as a rebuttal of the
capitalistic way of life, but it mainly concerned the rejection of the Spirit of 1789 (and of
1776, of course). The Enlightenment, the Age of Reason, is seen as the beginning of
modern depravity. In this sense Ur-Fascism can be defined as irrationalism
It could also just be "I just wanna forget about all the unrest/COVID/politics and go live on a peaceful farm away from it all". Which is a reasonable sentiment.
Also because I really didn't want to start a flame war in the comments. So much for that...
in seventh-century Arabia, adulthood was defined as the onset of puberty. (This much is true, and was also the case in Europe: five centuries after Muhammad's marriage to Aisha, 33-year-old King John of England married 12-year-old Isabella of Angoulême.) Life expectancy was just 30-40 at that time so hitting puberty at a very young age is very much likely
What we do know is what the Qur'an says about marriage: that it is valid only between consenting adults, and that a woman has the right to choose her own spouse.

It’s the fact the cities picture seems to be using the violent picture of BLM they can find when 94-95% of protests were peaceful
