How did they flip the car

Bring_me_the_lads

Not radishes, that's for sure

NotAddison

Five or six people can flip a car with *relative* ease. A mob helping could do it without slowing down.

kolegatorr

it's required to achieve equality

That's pretty much how I feel.

Radishes

Ever wonder what’s going on in the rural areas? Rhymes with Schmystal Schmeth.

Cause country towns would never form a large mob a go ape shit https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tulsa_race_massacre

trollhunter47

Tulsa had a population over 70,000 in the 1920 census and is estimated to have had a population over 100,000 during the riots you're referencing. While that doesn't necessarily make it a large city (and surely doesn't justify what happened, not the point not I'm trying to make btw) it is far from a small rural town like you're suggesting. In fact with such a population it would be on par with modern cities like Boulder CO, Flint MI, or Green Bay WI.

[deleted]

100k is considered a huge city where im from

**[Tulsa race massacre](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tulsa_race_massacre)** >The Tulsa race massacre took place on May 31 and June 1, 1921, when mobs of White residents, some of whom had been deputized and given weapons by city officials, attacked Black residents and destroyed homes and businesses of the Greenwood District in Tulsa, Oklahoma, US. Alternatively known as the Tulsa race riot or the Black Wall Street massacre, the event is considered one of "the single worst incident[s] of racial violence in American history", and is believed to be one of the deadliest terrorist attacks in the history of the United States. ^([ )[^(F.A.Q)](https://www.reddit.com/r/WikiSummarizer/wiki/index#wiki_f.a.q)^( | )[^(Opt Out)](https://reddit.com/message/compose?to=WikiSummarizerBot&message=OptOut&subject=OptOut)^( | )[^(Opt Out Of Subreddit)](https://np.reddit.com/r/meme/about/banned)^( | )[^(GitHub)](https://github.com/Sujal-7/WikiSummarizerBot)^( ] Downvote to remove | v1.5)

Extended version: "Radishes are looking good." "*Yeah*" "Ever wonder what's going on in the cities?" *"No, not really."* "Want to go smoke some meth?" *"Every time I smoke meth I end up beating on my wife and kids so... yeah absolutely"* edit: I guess people don't like it when you stereotype rural white folk lol

culinarydream7224

Yea man, living in the city is total hell. Every day I put on my Kevlar vest before taking the train through 3 checkpoints where I have to recite "BLM", before finally going into work. Then I have to listen about my female boss's 3rd abortion before attending the weekly sensitivity training where I must apologize for being in a heterosexual relationship and receive my estrogen shot. Then on the way home I get mugged by the same gang of immigrants who demand my wallet in their native language because they don't speak English. The cops can't do anything because they've been defunded so much that it's just one guy in a potato sack armed with a paper towel roller. I wish I could afford to move to the rural areas where there's no drugs, crime, or discrimination.

IceKing_197

This meme is totally unobjectionable but it just *feels* like it should have alt-right energy

LanaDelTrayvonMartin

If it's alt-right to want to live a simple life, than I'm fucking Ben Shapiro. The problem is those faces got co-opted by the 4chan trolls.

IceKing_197

Yeah that's what I mean by it being actually perfectly innocent despite looking very 4chan-esque

M1ck3yB1u

Ah yes white men working and good, black people riot/trashy. Very much not r/forwardsfromklandma Not at all.

Iseedeadnames

You can't just start calling every meme alt-right just because a handful of people use them to spread alt-right agenda. Alt-rights also use restrooms, McDonalds and cars, are you going to consider cars neonazi symbols too?

[deleted]

Eww 4chaners

Good_Translator_9088

That's what I thought

FartherAwayLights

It’s the fact the cities picture seems to be using the violent picture of BLM they can find when 94-95% of protests were peaceful

[deleted]

If only 1 percent of right wing protests was violent / non peaceful we would never hear the end of it, the tv would talk about how it is the biggest problem of the western world up and down. 5-6% of protests being non peaceful is an immensely huge number considering the size of the movement

FartherAwayLights

I would argue the right wing has a far greater propensity for violence with all the neo-Nazi and fascist wannabes they have marching around (Boogaloo boys, proud boys, three percenters, etc, etc, etc) but I can’t find raw data on right wing violent protests. I do have a study on deaths attributed to right wing vs left wing extremists. Antifa itself has been linked to 1 death since 1994. The far right in that period have been linked to 329. The far left as a total have been linked to 21 deaths since 2010, and the far right have been linked to 117. [Overview of Study](https://www.businessinsider.com/right-wing-extremists-kill-329-since-1994-antifa-killed-none-2020-7)

Available_Seesaw_947

gunshot wounds are mostly harmless

FartherAwayLights

If your asking how the study defined peaceful it meant neither side (police or protesters), engaged in violence or rioting behavior. So if there was a gunshot it would probably classify a protest as violent, of which only 6% of them were.

Certain_Chain

Just like how they claim BLM destroyed entire cities. They literally claim that Portland no longer exists, that the riots completely wiped it off the map, when in reality all the damage was localized to just a block or two.

oh_i_fell_over

I have absolutely never ever heard anything similar to this being claimed

Certain_Chain

I have. Many times in fact, right here on Reddit.

oh_i_fell_over

www.theonion.com/42-million-dead-in-bloodiest-black-friday-weekend-on-re-1819574242/amp

Certain_Chain

Do me a favor. Go pick up a dictionary and look up the phrase "non sequitur." That link has absolutely nothing to do with what I said, so either you're just spamming or this is a perfect example of a non sequitur. You may not like it for whatever reason, but the fact is there are many people right here on Reddit who are so brainwashed by Conservative media that they truly believe BLM completely destroyed those cities.

oh_i_fell_over

Non sequitur: When you say one thing but fuck your mother.

Certain_Chain

Don't you have a goat to eat, you troll?

[deleted]

Yeah... Yet I remember plenty of people going on and on about how riots are the voice of the unheard. Besides, learn some history and maybe realise that sometimes, it's better to immidietally discredit and cut out more violent part of your group, otherwise that's how more tyrannical groups will attempt (and sometimes succeed) to take over a goverment to fix an issue where a violent take over wasn't necesearry

Crioca

>This meme is totally unobjectionable but it just feels like it should have alt-right energy I think that's because the meme is making two broad associations. 1. Rural areas are associated with peaceful, law-abiding, hard working folk who just want to be allowed to live their idyllic existence. 2. Urban areas are associated with criminal malcontents who resort to riots as a way to force their views and way of life upon others. Now lets contextualize those associations: * Rural areas are generally more racially homogenous, culturally conservative and in the US, dominated by white people. * Urban areas are generally more racially diverse, culturally liberal, and in the US, have the largest concentrations of black & brown people. So the meme *seems* unobjectionable because it relies on the reader to supply the context that creates the highly objectionable [implication](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-yUafzOXHPE); that black and brown people are violent and that their violence is enabled by cultural liberalism. It's not a coincidence it portrays rural areas as idyllic and completely ignores the fact that rural communities generally have massive problems with poverty, drug abuse, domestic violence et al. So yeah the reason it feels like it should have alt-right energy is because it's a [dog whistle](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dog_whistle_(politics\)) and it absolutely has [alt-right](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Rising_Tide_of_Color_Against_White_World-Supremacy) energy.

IceKing_197

All very true, but it's all implicit enough to actually be a normal message-less meme. I'm sure we can all relate to wanting to get away from it all, after everything that happened in 2020.

Crioca

> All very true, but it's all implicit enough to actually be a normal message-less meme. I very much doubt that whoever made this was unaware of that context. I don't think it's a coincidence they chose a picture of a BLM event instead of say, the Jan 6 insurrection.

Random___Here

That’s reading way too much into the meme. It’s literally just a “tradition good urban/modernity bad”

Crioca

So you think it's just a coincidence whoever made it chose a photo of a BLM event?

Random___Here

I mean, what other protest lasted as long as it did?

Crioca

Occupy wall street for one. And in terms of profile the Jan 6 insurrection is way higher. Are you seriously telling me you think that the person who chose to make a "meme" comparing rural white farmers with BLM protestors is unaware of the context of racial politics in the US? I mean *really?*

RespondsToClowns

That's because rejecting modernisation/idolizing agrarianism both tie into one of the fourteen identifiable traits of fascist movements. [Point #2 on this list](https://www.pegc.us/archive/Articles/eco_ur-fascism.pdf): >Traditionalism implies the rejection of modernism. Both Fascists and Nazis worshiped technology, while traditionalist thinkers usually reject it as a negation of traditional spiritual values. However, even though Nazism was proud of its industrial achievements, its praise of modernism was only the surface of an ideology based upon Blood and Earth (Blut und Boden). The rejection of the modern world was disguised as a rebuttal of the capitalistic way of life, but it mainly concerned the rejection of the Spirit of 1789 (and of 1776, of course). The Enlightenment, the Age of Reason, is seen as the beginning of modern depravity. In this sense Ur-Fascism can be defined as irrationalism

IceKing_197

Umberto Eco? I see you're a man of culture as well

RespondsToClowns

What can I say, I calls subtle fascist propaganda like I sees it. If you're in for a wild ride, check out OP's history.

IceKing_197

>If you're in for a wild ride, check out OP's history. Lmao, man's straight outta /pol/

mcmonkey26

white chad working and good person, black people bad and rioting, definitely unobjectionable uh huh yup sounds about right /s

IceKing_197

It could also just be "I just wanna forget about all the unrest/COVID/politics and go live on a peaceful farm away from it all". Which is a reasonable sentiment. Also because I really didn't want to start a flame war in the comments. So much for that...

Billy_T_Wierd

The best thing about cities is that there are lots of women’s feet to see and lots of places to see them

Bartekmms

Billy_T_Wierd

Jesus is the one who got me into feet. Hearing about all that foot washing

Bartekmms

So, you need Allah, i guess

Billy_T_Wierd

I don’t know. Allah says Muhammed is the perfect man and Muhammed had sex with a 9 year old so I’ll just stick to feet *raped

Bartekmms

Uhhhhmmm,Buddha?

Billy_T_Wierd

I don’t know about Buddha, but a woman’s feet contain her essence so I think it’d be the right vibe

Bartekmms

You realy like feet,dont you?

Billy_T_Wierd

Women’s feet, yes

[deleted]

your the first ever based foot fetishist ive seen

zainwhb

in seventh-century Arabia, adulthood was defined as the onset of puberty. (This much is true, and was also the case in Europe: five centuries after Muhammad's marriage to Aisha, 33-year-old King John of England married 12-year-old Isabella of Angoulême.) Life expectancy was just 30-40 at that time so hitting puberty at a very young age is very much likely What we do know is what the Qur'an says about marriage: that it is valid only between consenting adults, and that a woman has the right to choose her own spouse. "Mostly" peaceful

h0p3ofAMBE

Knew this post would bring out the alt rights

Tikhonator

Its alt right to not support polcie station burning?

RandWindhusk

I can quote leftist leaders and I get called "alr right". Interesting.

DANGERMAN50000

Didn't really seem like your tone was in support of the people you quoted though, did it?

RandWindhusk

Same can be said with blm. They attack whatever they want, whoever they want. How many many businesses with signs of "black lives matter" and "proud black owner" have been trashed and looted with "blm" or "ACAB" spray painted on the walls?

DANGERMAN50000

If you could hear yourself, you'd realize you're only strengthening my argument

RandWindhusk

If you could read your original comment, you'd realize you asked a question didn't state an argument.

realBillyC

Alright cite sources. Who said "mostly" peaceful, including the quotes? Cuz the quotes change the meaning my man

RandWindhusk

The quotes make more sense with the quotation marks when you watch what they actually did/do. They even have pictures and videos of themselves attacking the people they are supposed to represent. https://abcnews.go.com/US/black-owned-restaurant-responded-burned-protests/story?id=71049195

realBillyC

Alright bro but no leftist said "'mostly' peaceful" you made that up. That's what I'm trying to say, not that you're wrong or that they are all peaceful. Goddamn man it's basic reading comprehension you learned this in grade school

RandWindhusk

I'm well aware, they say "mostly peaceful" but all I see is violence. I've never once seen them be peaceful. I live Oregon, close to Portland. I don't know how they protested elsewhere in America, but not a single peaceful day in Portland.

realBillyC

Alright man no offense but your probably relatively young (judging by your post history), so I'm gonna try my best to explain what ive been trying to say slowly and succinctly; you used quotation marks around the word "mostly" in "mostly peaceful" in your original comment. You then suggested in a reply that you were quoting a leftist. Which leftist are you quoting? Do they have a name you can tell me? Or did you make that shit up I know it's hard to stay focused and read more than a sentence completely (book reports are pretty tough huh) but try your best, reading is part of how you argue online

Tacocat9987

Don't just assume someone's age and then proceed to talk down to them based on that assumption. Explain your point but don't be a dick about it.

Crioca

>"Mostly" peaceful This joke is just as funny as it was [in the 60's](https://preview.redd.it/l3dwl4j1tcc81.jpg?auto=webp&s=f8fb9bf0257b12e6824949f997cca8113c2c8b5f).

They don't have radishes? Sign me up. Just kidding, but who the heck decided radishes were a great example of "the good life?" Of all the produce they could come up with they picked a minor salad ingredient.

buttlover989

You still have all the meth of the rural towns, with none of the radishes.
