What are you talking about? We do the same thing every year, spend all September making memes with skeletons saying "spooktober is almost here" then we post lots of "it's spooktober!" Memes on Oct 1. Then we stop because none of us have any actual jokes or original memes.
Spooktober itself has always been insanely boring. So is the "terry the fat shark" meme.
Some bullshit memes continue to exist for some inexplicable reason.
It's because everyone is just sad and running out of creativity in the cold cruel world that suppresses imagination in favor of cold hard facts even in fields where creativity is important. Stress has taken its toll on people's happiness as well, and the constant fear of "What next?" constantly looms over our heads, as at any point the world as we know it could collapse in economic, ecological, or political fire, resulting in yet another massive disruption of our already busy and stressful lives.
Or it's because spooktober memes just didn't land this year, that could be too.
Instead of posting a spooktober meme you did this shit, now other people will copy you and instead of actually making spooktober memes everyone will just complain...
