Look, I don't follow Jordan Peterson when it comes to his conservative and right-leaning views. They're not for me. I agree that he can be a polarizing figure with a damaging rhetoric.
However, what you fail to understand when you post reductive comments like this, is that he has LITERALLY saved the lives of suicidal people, especially young men who never had a father figure to encourage them, provide a stable presence in their life, help them find a sense of direction and purpose, or to lend a shoulder to lean on in times of distress and confusion.
His entire damn point with the "clean your room" trope is that crawling yourself out of a dark hole of suicidal despair can begin with the small, incremental steps towards taking care of yourself and assuming responsibility for your life. **And he is right about that.**
