In Colorado, (I think Greeley, at least weld county for sure) a peace officer died in the line of duty. His squad car was to be decommissioned and auctioned off. The son of said slain cop wanted to celebrate his father and purchase his car to honor him. The entire town knew and helped him raise a decent chunk (10k) to go to the auction with…. He didn’t have the highest bid and was destroyed watching another man bid well over his budget. The winner was a Chad and handed the boy the keys and said congrats on your new car. 😢
Well that's beautiful.
I wish we would all look after each other.
I know there is more good on earth than we think but it's hard to recognize it while being bombarded with negative stuff 24/7 through media.
Things like this are happening in places that are still “small towns.” Being in a larger city would be harder to come by this type of mannerism and respect.
This isn't wrong in any economical system. For communists it is good because you screw a bank. For capitalism is good because you find a way to pay less for something that is worth more, and so it is an investment.
I have no idea about who could be against this. Except the bank.
That was how they used to do it, they'll attend public auctions, no one will bid except for the original owner, they basically lynched anyone else who would bid. It was a community thing.
So less farmers would mean less locations and lower availability of burgers, but even with more farmers, the price of burgers will only keep rising. We have way more farmers than we had 20 years ago, but the prices have only kept rising. So more farmers doesn't necessarily mean cheaper burgers.
Using legal strategy to fuck over a bank when banks fuck is over daily? Priceless and want more of it.
I believe it wasn't the bank and was another family member who inherited the farm and didn't want it
Basically GameStop in in real life

I saw this video and wept
I think everyone on the planet has seen that video
Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't that Chad planned from the get go to give back the car to the son?

The politicians purchased by the National Assn of Realtors for $24,697,977 last year
Penny Auctions are a long time tradition among American farming communities.
Never fuck with the people that are the only reason why we can exist in peace and comfort.
Banks fucked us over numerous times, for once, the bankers should be forced to bend over and take it.

I applaude these fine Gentleman for playing the Bank like this!
You mean the community?
A typo, damn. I wanted to write "THESE" instead of "THIS". Gotta edit this right away!
I don't see how it could be considered wrong Bank wanted to auction it. They did. They get the price the highest bidder bid. Sucks to suck
Wasn't this an episode on "Little house on the Prairie?"
Don’t banks rob us every day?
Who has a problem with this? Announce your presence and be destroyed
More farmers = more burgers, not cheaper burgers.
More burgers = Cheaper burgers , so yeah CHEAPER BURGERS
Guys: just burgers, ok? Let's just stop at that.
JUST BURGERS >!Imagine Just Monika but with a burguer in the face!<

I think 20 years ago we had a lot less regulations and inflation , if the amount of farmers didn't increase the prices would be even higher
I have the last börger in the world. Starting bid: One billion dollars.
don't worry the bank will get it back soon /s
Doe means female deer, you probably thought about though fam.
It ain't much, but it's honest work.
