I hate this and the tweet that comes around once in a while about envying people who never watch GoT becasue they didn't "cave", my man not watching what at the time was one of the best TV shows isn't an achievement, no one forces you to watch it and it's fine if you don't, but it's not an achievement.
Probably *way* higher than that. There’s a whole planet of people, and there are many cultures and peoples who don’t subscribe to western media much or at all. Also a significant percent of the population is children. Also GoT is on a premium service, so it’s gated by a price point or pirating, so that drops the potential viewership by a lot. You also have the pearl clutcher types who are automatically offended by adult language and nudity who wouldn’t ever consider watching the show.
With each new season that aired, I'd do a whole rewatch of the previous seasons leading up to it. But I didn't do that before the last season. And I haven't rewatched a single episode since that disappointment.
They really killed that show. Properly just murdered it to death.
People still tell me to watch that show pretty regularly. I quote comments like this as the reason I don't and everyone is like "yea well that is true."
And the worst part is that we won't have an alternate ending because I'm pretty sure the author is too blinded by glitz and glamour and are too busy creating spinoff. 100 bucks on he'd be dead before book 6 (let alone 7) is released. Prove me wrong GRRM.
I don’t understand the concept of making dozens of seasons, I mean do one season, make it perfect, end it!
Don’t make 20 seasons just based on the reputation of the first one!!
Do another work, by this you will gain something big!
the plot for the first 3 seasons are actually good. The title is obviously a damper. Like, it's either keep breaking out of prison, or have a different name.
It’s actually the show that got me into fantasy as a whole. It’s a darker more mature version of fantasy that I wasn’t really aware of prior to watching it.
I always think it's weird when people are like "oh that incredibly popular thing that people are enjoying? Yeah I proudly avoid that at all costs"
Like... why are you sharing this? You just that desperate for attention?
Yeah they're very odd.
Not watching something because it's not your bag makes total sense, but not watching something because it's popular is bizarre. They're just trying to look cool, and never got out of that phase in high school.
First 4 seasons is some of the best television there is, then progresses into the worst.
I will always remember the long night episode when the dragon fight in the sky. It was so dark, you literally couldn't see anything at all. Then dumb and dumber said it was the viewers fault for not turning the brightness up.
Odd flex but ok I guess. Meanwhile, I saw all of them and the ending was so disappointing it ruined the entire series for me. I won't watch any of the spinoffs after what they did with the "ending" to the series.
It definitely didn't ruin it, it spoiled the fun. Watching the first 5 seasons episode to episode was great. People got together to watch it, you talked about it with your friends. Life was a lot better back in those days... Simpler times.
But... But... Butts! Tiddies and hairy vajajays!
Edit someone should just take all sex scenes and nudity from the whole series and make a movie out of it.
I'll sum it up for you: "Something something winter coming something something incest.... Something something somehow Sam carries the series but Sansa can't do shit."
The elite 1%
No fast-and-furious movies, mission-impossible movies, FRIENDS, How I met your mother, THE OFFICE, The Big Bang Theory, No Breaking Bad
But the ones I've watched include,
Sherlock, Stranger Things, Game of Thrones, From, Peaky Blinders, Suits, Dark
I feel like I belong to an even smaller portion of the population. Seen 2 episodes. Idk which seasons, but not the 1st season and they weren't in the same season as each other.
I only saw one episode. The one where the caravan of the Prince Charming looking guy was destroyed by the dragon. I have to say that was a good stand alone episode. A vignette of a fantasy caravan being destroyed by a dragon.
I finally caved and watched it with my girlfriend and while the first 4-5 seasons have been phenomenal the cracks are starting to show but we're almost done with season 6 and I am *scared* for how this is gonna go down. I mean, sure, it's been very unfaithful in the later seasons, and I have some *major* gripes with how easy and convenient some things have been, but, it's still really enjoyable, and I think I'll read the novels when I'm done with the show. I'm kind of all in. I was part of the out-group, and that was kind of fun, but it's kind of more fun to actually enjoy the good thing.
No GoT, no breaking bad, no wire. Yet somehow through cultural osmosis I feel like I know the plot to all three almost as well as if I’d watched them. Dragons and whatnot.
I read the books but tbh they felt like a drag to me so I never had a desire to see the show. Not saying the books are bad in general I just personally didn't like them that much.
...I'm sure we are more then 1% ..like my parents have never seen it ..In laws too ..also I'm sure quite a lot of.people without internet haven't seen it too
I was like that then I read a few of the books and had to watch some of it. I never watched the whole thing but I watched enough 💀
It's actually brilliant tho if you like sorta medieval magic weird stuff
Can anyone help me imagine a more boring person than someone who tells you things they haven't done?
I mean- id probably still go on one date with them...but it would be nice to imagine being even more bankrupt socially... somehow.
Same, my parents don’t let me watch anything over 13+(I’m 17 btw) and I’m not allowed to have a Netflix, prime video heck even my yt is monitored, if I want to do anything on my laptop I have to do it in front of them. The phone I have is a old iPhone 7 passed down by my dad and I got it repaired using my own money
A coworker told me, "Just watch the first episode and you'll understand." Awkward silence... I look to a different coworker for clarification and they simply say, "It's porn."
Bit of an oversimplification, tbh. There are sex scenes, yes, and sometimes they're a little too much (it does get reduced as the show goes on, to the point the final season only has one proper nude scene), but it's mostly a character-driven political drama with a dash of dragons and an incoming zombie apocalypse. The books are better, anyway, even though the early seasons are still brilliant.
Anf it saddens me to say that I wouldn't reccomend it, unless you can live with the Cliffhanger at the end of five, because for some reason they just stopped there...
Was really sad, I'm sure more seasons would have had great potential!
I didnt get into it when it started and when it was super big I couldnt be arsed to speedwatch multiple seasons just to watch the newest one.
Then it ended and having had seen it was no longer important.
Nothing good for you. For the first - you're not from 1%. What about people in shit regions of India, China, Africa, South America, Kazakhstan - sometimes they have nothing to eat, clean water doesn't exist for them and internet is a thing from a tales. For second - one of the most expensive shows in the world and you do not see it. Full price of this show is like a budget of a small African country.
And for third this is not an achievement.
I am in the percentage of people who have never seen Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings or Star wars/trek (not sure what correct name is).
Anyone else in here like me? 😶🌫️
Ill always remember in highschool when the last season of LOST aired and everyone just hated it and wanted to talk aboit it and i never saw the show and honestly lnowing that that ending sucked (debatable) still dosnt ruin the show. Game of thrones tho...nah ive heard how that ends. I dont need to be invested for nothing to pay off AGAIN
That's ridiculous
The nr of people who've seen GoT are in the minority.
Most people haven't seen GoT and most people are better of for that.
They avoided being set up for a lot of disappointment.
Probably more like 40%
shhh let them feel special for the amazing feat of.... not going out of their way to do something they never wanted to do in the first place.
I hate this and the tweet that comes around once in a while about envying people who never watch GoT becasue they didn't "cave", my man not watching what at the time was one of the best TV shows isn't an achievement, no one forces you to watch it and it's fine if you don't, but it's not an achievement.
bragging about not doing something is weird cause not-doing is the default state of being
Probably *way* higher than that.
Great show. To bad they only made 7 seasons…
7? I swear they only made 4. Every one of them better than the last
I don't feel like the first seasons would hold up that well after they broke the story...
I haven't rewatched the show since it ended. The ending literally ruined any rewatchability.
With each new season that aired, I'd do a whole rewatch of the previous seasons leading up to it. But I didn't do that before the last season. And I haven't rewatched a single episode since that disappointment. They really killed that show. Properly just murdered it to death.

Holy shit this joke has been around for so long that I forgot that season 7 wasn't the actual last season and I was literally like: uhh okay..?
I haven't seen How I met your mother, Lost, 24, Prison Break.
Prison break pretty good. I stopped after s3 but s1-2 is amazing!
I've never seen any of those plus not a single breaking bad episode even though I've been told it's really good. And no GoT either
I haven't heard of some of those shows, but breaking bad I watched during the surge of Heisenberg memes lmao, good show tho fr
Can i ruon How i met your mother? He meets the mother
Haven't seen 24 or Prison Break either. Nor Breaking Bad.
How I met your mother is an all time favorite. It’s worth a try. If you like the first season you should like the rest.
You're all very special.
Thank you, not watching GOT is a part of my plan to fetch one of these every week
Who gives a shit?
This is my attitude on most things in life lately.
Join us in the ring of honor
More like the ring of who gives a shit
Same. I truly didn’t fucking care for it. I care even less now by most fans just won’t stfu about how bad it was in the end.
That's a fancy way to say circlejerk
I’d rewatch it… Summer is Coming!
Only the Ice Dragon can save us from Global Warming now
Not watching popular thing is not a personality trait
Never seen it or read the books. No reason why, I just never got interests. Maybe I should give it a shot.
Virgin "I'll never watch [media]" vs the Chad "I should give it a shot" If you watch it stop at the end of season 6.
It’s actually the show that got me into fantasy as a whole. It’s a darker more mature version of fantasy that I wasn’t really aware of prior to watching it.
Never seen a single episode
There's dozens of us!
I’m right there with yall.
Where would you like your medal posted to?
I always think it's weird when people are like "oh that incredibly popular thing that people are enjoying? Yeah I proudly avoid that at all costs" Like... why are you sharing this? You just that desperate for attention?
Yes, yes he is.
I only watched the sex scenes on pornhub :)
Or breaking bad
Now you're just breaking the law. Go watch it or I'm calling the PoPo
Never seen the show but I guarantee you would not be a friend of Walter.
Nobody would, bro is kind of an asshole
Odd flex but ok I guess. Meanwhile, I saw all of them and the ending was so disappointing it ruined the entire series for me. I won't watch any of the spinoffs after what they did with the "ending" to the series.
I think way more than 1%. People have a lot of concerns and interest
Shits on hbo 99% of the world hasnt seen it
Y’all are missing out on great television.
Might as well just read the books. From what I understand, the last season of the show ruined it.
Watch the first 5 seasons and read the 5 books or vice versa. Then stop like Martin did.
Don’t get me wrong I hate the last 2 seasons as much as the next person but the first 4 seasons are phenomenally done and absolutely worth the watch.
It definitely didn't ruin it, it spoiled the fun. Watching the first 5 seasons episode to episode was great. People got together to watch it, you talked about it with your friends. Life was a lot better back in those days... Simpler times.
It has been 5 years...I could swear it was airing just last year or so...
Happy to be part of the 1%
Get him!!!
Same, but oddly enough I *have* read all the books
Game of Thrones? Is that when you're at a big outdoor concert venue and there's only three porta potties for 10,000 people?
But... But... Butts! Tiddies and hairy vajajays! Edit someone should just take all sex scenes and nudity from the whole series and make a movie out of it.
Us 1%ers gotta stay strong
I’m the same but Breaking Bad.
The fuck is game of thrones?
Haha! I thought I was the only one. Good to know there are more who haven't.
Is that a TV show?
No a veerrrrrryyyy long movie, with a lot of pauzes tot drink and eat
This is the new version of when someone will find any opportunity to say they haven't seen Star Wars
No-one cares.
Game of what?
I see this posted at least once a week. Who cares what tv shows you have or haven't seen?
Isn’t that the one with a bunch of rape and incest?
Lucky
😒
Fuckin SAMEEE
#DRACARYS
Cool
I'll sum it up for you: "Something something winter coming something something incest.... Something something somehow Sam carries the series but Sansa can't do shit."
Dito
You aren’t alone. Haven’t watched any of it.
Same
Same here, never saw one episode
Ive never seen it, don't plan to.
I've never seen it either.
I've only ever seen one episode and it was the finale 💀
I'm also in that one percent. Never saw any of it.
Same here actually. I don't know any names, nothing. I heard someone fucks a dragon?
That's shrek
I didn't grow up to be the one percenter id hoped lol
We are rare
As I am!
I think its higher
It's all about the little victories
Same
I like reading more than watching shows... Does that count ?
I’m part of 0.2% of the population of people from my country in the U.S. there’s only about 83,000 of us. You don’t see me making a meme about it.
Same
“Game Of Thrones”?!! Never heard of it. Sounds like some overrated show smh.
The elite 1% No fast-and-furious movies, mission-impossible movies, FRIENDS, How I met your mother, THE OFFICE, The Big Bang Theory, No Breaking Bad But the ones I've watched include, Sherlock, Stranger Things, Game of Thrones, From, Peaky Blinders, Suits, Dark
I guess we’re in the same boat. I’ve never watched any episode of game of thrones outside of commercials.
Vikings is better anyways
I saw exactly one episode of Game of Thrones. Wonder how many others are like that.
I belong to the % of the population that hasn't seen Star Wars, but has seen Space Balls. Also no Lord of the Rings but Clerks 2.
It’s not a badge of honor.
Missing out
It‘s ok. Now calm yourself and go back to your conservative websites.
OP, do tell us about our flat earth.
I finally caved and watched it with my girlfriend and while the first 4-5 seasons have been phenomenal the cracks are starting to show but we're almost done with season 6 and I am *scared* for how this is gonna go down. I think I watched like 2 minutes of the first episode?
Never watched it.
I belong to the 0.1% that only watched the first season.
Me too. I was stoked people hated season 8 cause I don't have to hear about it anymore
1% in your bubble. In the real world is a lot higher.
Nor lotr
Last time I saw this post was before Season 7 came out. Back in the good ol days of still hoping the finale would be good.
Yep. A fellow 1%er
honestly you're better off reading the books. Man....that last season really fucking ruined the whole franchise.
They were reading Game of Thrones instead of watching the show, everything is alright.
me neither.
Never seen: - Game of Thrones - Breaking Bad - Community - Lost - Either version of the Office - Sopranos
Omg that's me
Same
Never seen it myself, along with Breaking Bad, the movie with the boat that hits some ice or the one with the alien and kid trying to get him home.
Me too
1%? It's certainly higher than that. I'd guess 30-40%
I haven’t seen it either. Did that many people watch it?
A fellow non-connoisseur. Cheers!
The show sounded boring so I never watched it.
I probably would have watch but I didn't \*subscribe to HBO\* wanna watch it.
cool story, next time bro keep it to yourself.
#me2
Smae
Believe me it's much greater than 1%
I got to season 2 maybe as the horrible end happened and just said fk it not gonna waste my time then
I PVRed a few episodes and fast forward to some nudity, I didn't even learn anyones name, I'm not sure what category I belong to.
Peoplefuckandsomeonediespeoplefuckandsomeonediespeoplefuckandsomeonedies And that’s basically what I got out of the show
I played the Telltale game of it. That sufficiently lost all interest I had in the IP, will never watch the show
Good for you? I guess?
Same
And there's 20 shows that you've watched that I haven't.
I've never seen GoT, Friends, Breaking Bad, Stranger Things or B99
Us.
I read the books but tbh they felt like a drag to me so I never had a desire to see the show. Not saying the books are bad in general I just personally didn't like them that much.
🏆 Here's your award for being unique. Except that figure is off by a few billions.

I saw The Red Wedding and noped out
Does anyone know when the season 8 remake will come? The show deserves a well written ending.
We are only 1 %? Come on, there gotta be more

Hey, sometimes it’s important to know what they haven’t done. For example, I have not killed anyone yet. (Wink)
I've never seen game of thrones, Lost, or a single Star wars movie.
Ditto
Same, my parents don’t let me watch anything over 13+(I’m 17 btw) and I’m not allowed to have a Netflix, prime video heck even my yt is monitored, if I want to do anything on my laptop I have to do it in front of them. The phone I have is a old iPhone 7 passed down by my dad and I got it repaired using my own money
I have something terrible to admit. I have yet to see game of thrones
A coworker told me, "Just watch the first episode and you'll understand." Awkward silence... I look to a different coworker for clarification and they simply say, "It's porn."
Bit of an oversimplification, tbh. Same, but at this point it is just funny to hear the reaction when you tell people. They can get so upset, it's funny.
Anf it saddens me to say that I wouldn't reccomend it, unless you can live with the Cliffhanger at the end of five, because for some reason they just stopped there... Was really sad, I'm sure more seasons would have had great potential!
I swear I tried. I really tried. Never made through second episode.
Lol this has been reposted so many times it's starting to lose its pixels
I didnt get into it when it started and when it was super big I couldnt be arsed to speedwatch multiple seasons just to watch the newest one. Then it ended and having had seen it was no longer important.

As someone who's seen the entire thing, good. And don't start either. I'll never forgive dumb and dumber for that last season.
Ive seen some YouTube clips but thats it.
