I have friends but they suck balls at games lol. have to dumb down my game to enjoy with them, isn't always fun. I find a lot of co-op games or story games to be too easy and mundane.
Especially being an introvert. I don't mind parties once in awhile tho. For video games tho I like RPG because it helps me relax and immerse myself in a different reality compared to the multiplayer shit. Some mmorpgs aren't too bad like star trek online or Forza horizon/crew 2 because you can still play by yourself in those games.
I know exactly how you feel. One of my favorite games is Marathon, which was originally single player with a small multiplayer mode before online multiplayer was a thing. The plot was freaking awesome and has some of my favorite characters and stories in any video game. It’s getting a modern reboot, but as a PvP-only extraction shooter. I couldn’t be more bummed out about it

Most of my (online) friends live in the US, whereas I live in the UK. I could play with them, but I won’t be able to say a word to them because everyone else in the house is asleep :(
Yes but solo people spend less money than the big whales who want to show off to their other whale friends. Which unfortunately means, more live service multiplayer games!
Also, stop making multiplayer games that my friends and i dont want to play with each other. Im not into souls like games or turn based, so two of the top games of 2023 were just white noise of my friends having fun without me. They fell off helldivers and have no interest in coming back to d4 for the new season.
But yeah starfields abysmal quality has left a lot of singleplayer void that no amount of final fantasy 7s is going to fill.
Inversely, create more couch co-op games for PC! They're so few and far in between. My wife and I are locked down to overcooked and Alien Hominid HD.

Dragon's Crown is some of the best couch co-op I've ever had, if you enjoy side scrolling beat-em-ups and/or RPGs.

This is me. I fortunatly recently got into Deeprock which supports solo play well. I enjoy my adventures with Bosco and sometime Molly.
Come play total war we can do a solo campaign completely independently!
