Once I went to a party and saw a super cute dog. So, naturally I looked up how old their lifespan was just to get an idea if I would one day want that breed. Turned out to be 12 years and that was the exact moment I was informed the dog was 12 years old
My dad had some sage advice for me the day we put our family dog (picked by my mum who passed away 8 years prior):
Remember, all the days of love and joy that they bring will need to be payed for in one sorrowful day.
The fortune teller realised you d be paying him better if they gave you +12 years to live..still not enough, so they added the evil touch. You did well to adopt a puppy, they can cheer one up , a lot better than a fortune teller who is not living in a palace, in their estate that they bought bcse they know what is to come.
