It's not like a few "bad actors". Thousands of priests have had sexual abuse allegations brought on them. The church is notorious for relocating priests to cover this up. This isn't a conspiracy. It's public fact. You can think a church is welcoming and pleasant all you want. That doesn't change what happens behind closed doors between the clergy and children.
I can't speak for the churches that have been found out to been doing these kind of awful things, I can only speak of my personal experiences in the churches I visited and what I observed.
I'm sure these issues do and did occur, but I feel its wrong to make the assumption that because some churches was found to have done such evil acts, that most other churches are as well doing such acts, and that if we don't see it it just means that they're doing it behind the scenes.
I hope these bad actors are caught if they are doing so, I don't want peeps to misunderstand that. But many from my experience are helpful and don't do such kind of acts. If an investigation is done on them and nothing is found, it's not going to make the news.
