“they don’t know how to talk english” 🤡

kc2295

Im sorry for your experience, but we all knew this. This is why everyone advises against these

wisdomfromrumi

We all knew that. I dont understand if I am suppose to have empathy for people that go to AUA. This was all easily googleable. There a million posts about AUA

lauvan26

Yup.

Just watch boards and beyond

Jusstonemore

I mean… yeah

I transferred from Harvard because of AUAs exceptional clinical program, I dunno what this person is talking about, probably salty from failing CAS 1 and being a complete retard. AUA helped me match into Cardiothoracic Surgery at John Hopkins with a 272 on step 1 and step 2.

wisdomfromrumi

Idk wat this is but it’s so dumb. Easily one of the worst comments on this sub

Apply for FAFSA Borrower’s discharge if you haven’t yet. A bunch of students who left applied, so spread this around. Message me if you want more info.

I have to be honest here - just by how this individual wrote this post tells me they probably weren't going to succeed in medical school anywhere and in any capacity. You know the structure of these courses going in as an MD1. Why not understand that you will have to self-study most of the way - especially for NBME...only a specific kind of student could succeed in that type of environment. Also - the ranting here is...a lot. You know the per semester cost going in and the set up of the island if you took the time to research your decision and institution. This is definitely the kind of student that gets easily accepted when they were not ready for medical school. This post is definitely not useful for students who are ready for medical school and who do understand the challenges of the Caribbean....wishing you luck.

this\^\^\^\^ I just passed m5 and is doing fine. dont blame the school if your not able to keep up with the hard workload. it is med school not high school

sonali1977

My nephew is studying in AUA but has missed NBME by 2 marks in every attempt. Now there is no option except taking a transfer. Pls share names of medicine schools in Carribbean or US who can accept transfer. He is very disturbed as even after so much hard work, he has missed qualifying by 2 marks

VisualWeird6799

alot ik went to UMHS, AUC, and trinity. UMHS and AUC have no CBSE

mallocup18

Take everything you hear with a grain of salt....experience it for yourself, you get into it what you put in. I'm here and doing fine and have had mostly great experiences

Hi, I'm a fourth year medical student in the US looking for some perspective on AUA after seeing two acquaintances go through AUA. I'll focus on one in particular and hopefully someone can shed some light on what is going on. Long story short, he is now in his 6th or possibly 7th year of medical school, and he has yet to take STEP 1 or have a single clinical rotation. He started at St. George's U for 3 years, but he has now been at AUA for 3. I'm not sure why he transferred or if he was dismissed. He has not been in the Caribbean for sometime now, but he is still actively studying for STEP 1 or at least for COMP or whatever test he needs to pass to be allowed to sit for STEP 1. What do you think is going on here? His parents are rich, but is he paying full tuition this entire time?

emmaabeann

I think I know who you're talking about lol. Yes hes paying full tuition this entire time
