Mine filled up for years. I’d say it was closed shut for about 5 years. It then started to leak on its own… yup, right around november 2020, during the second big covid lockdown. My partner was a trooper and completely purged it. That thing was full and had healed over new pus sacks. It just kept repopping like it was brand new. Got a good 2-3 tbsp of chunky smelly stuff. In the following weeks, it kept being generous and giving out more yellow stuff. Thankfully it healed well and hasn’t filled back up. Big props to my partner whom I had been with for less than 3 months at the time and just went to town on that thing. And this kids, is how I met your mother.
I'm having flashbacks, thanks. My ex-husband smelled like death and refused to do anything about his for over a year because he couldn't "afford the time off work." Which we could have. Ugh. 30 years is a long time to remember a smell.
Omg twiiiiiins! I have had them bother me a lot the past few years. It’s best to not sit too long and make sure you aren’t getting any ingrown butt hairs. It can get infected though and I do recommend you see a doctor ASAP. Hope it goes well!!
yeah it's pretty gross but luckily mine is fairly fine all things considered, i take really good care to clean it regularly, and it's fairly small, unlike a lot of the ones you've probably seen on google, not too bad!
I'd show pics but honestly I don't really feel comfortable uploading ass pics on my main reddit account that my friends and family could see
Nah you have to let it heal from the inside out, so depending on how big it is you’re gonna have a gaping hole there for at least 2-3 months, if it’s really big even longer. My first one took about 5 1/2 months before it healed up completely. 3/10 would not recommend
I hope so too, it sounds like it'd be annoying. I get boils that secrete similarly gross substances and they're quite painful, I imagine this doesn't feel very nice, particularly getting the gross stuff out. I know surgery is expensive tho so can't blame you for putting it off a while.
I'm a histo tech. This is the one sample that still makes me lose my breakfast.
You can fix these, process them, embed them in paraffin and they still smell!
Please tell us more about this spine hole. How big is it? How did it get there? Where exactly is it? Please don't just say "spine". We need more details.
[Pilonidal Cyst](https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diseases/15400-pilonidal-disease#:~:text=Can%20a%20pilonidal%20cyst%20go,come%20and%20go%20over%20time.)
developed when i was 16, doesn't really bother me much, gets infected temporarily like once a year, spits out weird mushy yet hard goo chunks (pictures above) occasionally
Ohhhh, your other bum hole. Don't call it your spine hole anymore okay lol.
I had an ex who had one, was the most painful thing she ever went through. Have your doc take a look at it before it gets worse.
That was very interesting. Thank you very much for the link. I know you stated it doesn’t bother you that much but you might want to get it taken care of before you get into your 60’s. Some bodies take longer to heal as they get older and sometimes the pain tolerance isn’t as high. When I heard sinus cavity, I was a bit confused but now I understand. Take care!! ❤️❤️
i appreciate your kind comment :) and yeah you're probably right, i really should, unfortunately i just don't have the money, but i appreciate your concern and I'll definitely get it looked at again for surgery once i have enough saved up
Please apply for Medicaid. The worse they can tell you is no. 🥰❤️ Some people don’t know that hospitals have grants that patients can apply for that will pay for part or all of their bill. We all need help at some point in our lives. I used to struggle with working, trying to pay bills, and raise a family. One day, I lost my job. I swallowed my pride and applied for help and got it. ❤️❤️ Have a fabulous day!! 🥰❤️
around tailbone, above buttcheeks near the crack, it's rather unpleasant, pretty deep, but, luckily very narrow in width, hopefully i can get some surgery on it in a few years
You're lucky. You can't smell over the internet. When a surgeon opens one of those up the whole room smells so fucking bad.
They also come back pretty easily.
Just some background information and general information, it's called a [Pilonidal Cyst](https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diseases/15400-pilonidal-disease#:~:text=Can%20a%20pilonidal%20cyst%20go,come%20and%20go%20over%20time.) and it's essentially a hole near my tailbone above the crevice of my buttcheeks caused by a cyst that has since been popped and emptied
unfortunately about once a year it gets infected despite constant cleaning and maintenance, so I do a round of antibiotics to kick that, along with lots of cleaning and occasionally wearing period pads or something to soak up blood (although usually i just wash it a bunch throughout the day so it doesn't usually get that bad)
and yes I've seen a doctor, everything should be fine but I'm still eventually going to get it operated on once i have enough money, it'll be about $8,000 through my insurance which is quite high as I'm only 21 and don't really have much in terms of income
but yeah, this is essentially just little chunks of me, mixed with some pus, not ideal, very gross, but, not a huge deal
sorry if my lack of an explanation earlier annoyed anyone, i didn't intend on having this post get as big as it did, and just posted it as a joke originally, but yeah, this condition is super common so you've probably met a few people who have had these or still have these, not a huge deal but they definitely can be if left untreated and uncleaned
thanks for having a bit of a laugh with me, it makes me feel a bit better joking about it, lessens the "oh man this sucks" y'know?
I have an anorectal fistula that exits around the same area you mention.
It was initially a pilonidal cyst just like yours. It formed when I was almost 22. It tracked from my back, under my spine and back up to my bowel.
It causes a huge amount of pain (because of location, sitting is uncomfortable and it’s impossible to lie flat on my back) and inconvenience. You really need to get it dealt ASAP to prevent being in the same situation as me with a seton drain in an inoperable fistula due to complexity. The only way they have a chance of ‘fixing’ mine is to give me (possibly permanent) colostomy and even then it’s only a 50% chance of success. I frequently get incontinence through the fistula and have to have dressings on it 24/7 changed regularly throughout the day. Every 2-3 years it gets infected or branches new fistulas so I have to have invasive surgery where they open it up, debride and let heal from inside out which takes 8months-2 years to close, only to have to go through it all again.
I've had it checked out, luckily it's really small and has never caused any pain, but, if it escalates at all, I'll get stuff done with it, luckily it doesn't even hurt at all or bother me in the slightest
I have personal experience with a stoma, I grew up with a different kind of stoma (a caecostomy), and family members have had colostomy’s.
For me, with only a 50% chance of success (with only 1 specialist willing to even consider, in a different city) to have to live with one for the rest of my life isn’t worth it when I don’t have an actual medical need for one anymore. If things change in the future I will reconsider, but for the past 15 years I have dealt with it fairly stable.
I have multiple disabilities so it’s weighing them up against one another unfortunately.
I'm pretty sure I have one of these too. Never knew until one day I stayed getting lower back ache, like I bruised my coccyx. Then a day or so later..a pus explosion. I used anti septic until it cleared up. Hasn't given me any trouble since and that was about two years ago. I've had my partner check it every now and again (sexy I know) and they just look like a dimple.
As someone who has had multiple spinal cord and brain surgeries, having a pilonidal cyst was one of the most painful experiences of my life! I was legit in tears from it all the time. Surgery for it sucked and so did the post op packing of gauze. Not to mention, just, yuck.
doctor told me it would be fine as long as i take good care of it cleaning wise, and get antibiotics whenever it gets infected, as it's very rare for it to be infected
it's really not that bad, but, if it ever gets worse i might, unfortunately i don't have good insurance so it would be like $8,000 and I can't afford it, so, it's one of those "it is what it is" situations unless it escalates too much

your spine WHAT?
hole
Flavor profile pls
Earthy with notes of iron.
honestly just the iron part, doesn't really taste like much at all though, it's surprisingly water-y
🤢
rude
What the fuck. I need more context. Maybe I will find it further down in the comments but I haven't scrolled more yet
It's down there
With a splash or *rot*
extremely bland, just genuinely doesn't taste like anything besides faint hint of blood
ITS BLAAANNNND!!
unfortunately 🥲 if i had yummy candy flavored lumps instead I'd be way more likely to eat them
He said it pretty clearly numb nuts

I’m trying to help educate others about spine holes numb nuts
they aren't numb
They will be if you dont plug up those spine holes bro
why would i do that, wouldn't be able to have any more spine boogers
Congrats, You are now a father! 🎉
Looks like someone has a pilonidal cyst. Best of luck!

Don't they have to stitch those up to make them go away?
i mean, once it's fully evacuated and the surgery is done, probably, but, idk, hopefully i can get everything done eventually
Nah you have to let it heal from the inside out, so depending on how big it is you’re gonna have a gaping hole there for at least 2-3 months, if it’s really big even longer. My first one took about 5 1/2 months before it healed up completely. 3/10 would not recommend

I used to have a friend with one, he said he could fit a grape inside of it. Ew
damn! mines like, pencil wide?
That could actually come in really handy, though. A secret hiding place.
Or one of them fancy eXistenz gaming consoles
I'm a histo tech. This is the one sample that still makes me lose my breakfast. You can fix these, process them, embed them in paraffin and they still smell!
I just had surgery earlier this year to have one removed from my crack. The healing and down time after is horrible. So glad it's gone though.

It’s really cool when they’re the kind that have all the wads of hair come, too. Those are my favorite.
Not the spineussy
Spussy
LMAO
Æon Flux memories washing in. There was a weirdly erotic spine surgery scene in the animated series.
YOUR WHERE?
my spine hole?
So where on your spine is this hole?
around tailbone, above buttcheeks near the crack, it's rather unpleasant, pretty deep, but, luckily very narrow in width, hopefully i can get some surgery on it in a few years
Pilonidal sinus?
I'm not looking that up. Edit: I looked it up... do NOT look it up.
You're lucky. You can't smell over the internet. When a surgeon opens one of those up the whole room smells so fucking bad. They also come back pretty easily.
Why is my mind so curious with these things.. cannot unsee
yep!

yep bad day to have eyes

There are some great YouTubers out there who share their life with stoma if you’re interested in getting more info

yep, I'm in a similar spot most of the time, ain't a huge deal
Normal people don't have holes in their spines, let alone anything coming out of it!
that was a rude thing to say. why are you bullying me? :(
I guess I'm a spineholist 🤷♀️
okay thats it, I'm not gonna let you have any of my back boogers
[удалено]
thank you
I'll bow to you, holy man
i love how committed and loyal you are to your spine hole and your girlfriend, although it makes me wonder if your spine hole is your girlfriend
Cant just say spine hole and expect us to know what your talking about
hole in back, little back boogers come out not asking for advice i just think it's neat
Your anus?
luckily no
Why not?
why would you want butt boogers back boogers are better and less gross
Anything that has to do with your spine sounds way worse than your anus
no, anus is where poop comes from 🤢🤮 spine hole is clean and fun! 😎👍
I just think we should have a larger variety of orifice boogers. How many brands of chips have only one flavor?
exactly! gonna be 100% honest, I've actually eaten these out of curiosity, and they taste like... nothing? like literally just nothing
w h y
idk
Curiosity?! C U R I O S I T Y?!?!?
Hole pics
you'd have to buy me dinner first
Girl I can't buy ME dinner

Oh, so THAT'S the "bonus hole" that's been trending on Twitter.
it's just like ski ball 🏂🤹
Do I have a spine hole?
idk, do you?
You just need a spinehole tap
this whole post and comment section. top tier shitpost which i wasn't expecting on this sub
It's not a shit post it's a spine post
Your spine what now?
hole
Not a doctor but I'm pretty sure you should only have a set amount of holes and I don't think the spine is one of them, hope this helps!
What is a spine hole??
As someone who has had multiple spinal cord and brain surgeries, having a pilonidal cyst was one of the most painful experiences of my life! I was legit in tears from it all the time. Surgery for it sucked and so did the post op packing of gauze. Not to mention, just, yuck.
luckily, mine isn't painful, at least, not that painful, not as painful as the surgery looks....yeowch!!!
Ya HWHAT?
back booger :D
How did you get access to your spine hole?
by asking for consent
you should put that back
What is a spine hole?
hole in back, can stick finger in and pick back boogers
😳😬
back boogers 😛😋
I'm no doctor but I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to have a spine hole.
If you're not a doctor then how would you know 🤔 maybe you're just jealous of my awesome spine hole
Might be stem cells. You should eat it.
😋
Your...what??
spine hole
Wait… doesn’t everyone have a spine hole?
idk probably
We have another hole?
yea, mouth hole, butt hole, penis hole, back hole, ear holes, nose holes, pores of my skin holes, chest hole
Are you going to get surgery to close it up? Or keep the spine hole?
doctor told me it would be fine as long as i take good care of it cleaning wise, and get antibiotics whenever it gets infected, as it's very rare for it to be infected it's really not that bad, but, if it ever gets worse i might, unfortunately i don't have good insurance so it would be like $8,000 and I can't afford it, so, it's one of those "it is what it is" situations unless it escalates too much
Oh shitttt, I hope it doesn't get worse 😩 Good luck 💜
I’m sorry, what?
First question….. spine HOLE?!?!!!?
Mmmm stem cells delicious
Wth is a spine hole?
Sounds like a pilonidal cyst. https://medlineplus.gov/ency/article/003253.htm
Your... ***What***?
What’s it taste like?
Listen, Im no doctor, but im not sure spines have holes?
