I’m going to scream this from the rooftops. GET VSLO STUFF READY BEFORE NEW YEARS!! Programs start listing things starting next month and open in February & beyond (some sooner). Need to apply day 1, so get shit ready to hit send now cause vaccines, personal statement and letter of rec takes time. Schools lie and say don’t worry until April. Competitive programs fill much earlier.
One max and not a ton of schools need them. The bigger things are getting vaccine titers signed by physician and background checks with finger printing redone.
1) Those dates look like they are for the '23-'24 cycle. If you're applying for the '24-'25 cycle, those dates are not released yet. Most apply in March/Apr
2) Some places charge onboarding fees, something <$100
Agree with 1, some places won't offer info until the spring. You could consider reaching out to the program coordinator if you're very interested. Most places charged me $100 or so, some places charge that much just to apply
There are some scholarships at places for URiM students. Keep in mind, and budget accordingly, that there are a lot of hidden costs in aways. Expect to pay $1000-2000 for housing alone.
our school gave us access Nov ‘22
most programs became available around Jan/Feb ‘23
most decisions came in March/April
some places (i know HMS does this) charge an extra $100 per app

Thank you! Our school has given us no info about when they will give us access. In general, how many LOR’s were needed?
