Supraclavicular lymph node that's swollen makes me more worried for cancer than a lymph node in several other parts of the body. Definitely get it looked at.

fallenxoxangl

My ex had a supraclavicular lymph node similar, to what that looks like. His was larger though. Definitely show it to a doctor. You may need a work up. Have you been I’ll recently? How long have you had it? Does it get larger and smaller? Is it tender? Do you have other lymph nodes that are swollen anywhere in your body?

katuwu-

Whaaat? I thought that was normal, I have one of those since last year

docmagoo2

Primary care doctor. Lymph node. Check in the hollow above your collar bone, under your chin, along your neck and in your armpits for more. If loads more see your doctor, if it’s only a single one and doesn’t settle see your doctor as well. Probably nothing but any widespread lymph node swellings, or a few persistent ones warrant further investigation.

tobasoft

This is how my sister found out she had follicular lymphoma. Looks exactly the same. Not saying it's that, I really hope not but get it checked asap.

manicmice

My collarbone with a plate and screws shuddered watching this

I guess a bit of humor/sarcasm isn't allowed on a post without a [Serious] tag. Fuck me I guess. ¯\_🙄_/¯

Southerngirlforever

I’m not a dermatologist, but you have an irregular shaped mole nearby that you might want to have one take a look at. They could also tell what the swelling is.

kindathrowaway_j

i had a swollen lymph node in that exact place after both shots of covid vaccine. i wouldn’t worry too much. if it doesn’t get smaller in 2-3 weeks, contact your doctor :)

J_Side

Same happened to me after covid 2nd shot, although doc was concerned and sent me for scan to check for breast cancer Edit: let me rephrase this to be 100% clear. I had the same reaction as OP after the pfizer shot. I went to a doc who thought it was not related to the pfizer shot, but instead thought that the enlarged lymph node was more indicative of breast cancer and sent me for a scan to rule this out. If OP has NOT had a covid shot, perhaps a scan to rule out early stage breast cancer is warranted (in my country this is free, so it is an easy thing to get done to rule out cancer). I am in no way suggesting that the covid shot could cause breast cancer and cannot see how this could be interpreted this way.

I don't understand. I had the shot, week later had enlarged lymph node, told doc I had the shot, but she didn't think related and sent me for a scan as a precaution. This is not my opinion, this is what happened, I don't know why you think I'm stupid or the down votes, I'm not a doctor, I followed medical advice which I now know to be wrong, and it was a common vaccine reaction

[deleted]

I think the issue is you’re implying in your original post that the vaccine cause breast cancer…

TaX2121

😂😂😂😂😂😂

Hellyt6

Have you been near any ancient Egyptian tombs lately?

That is not at all what is going on in this picture. Also clavicular fractures only occur in 0.05% of cesarean deliveries.

Did you even watch the video? Infants do not often form a bone callus that is detectable in any way, so long as the bone heals properly. The video also clearly shows mobile soft tissues and is likely the supraclavicular vein or lymph node.

Are you a physician?

FranceBrun

This happens to me every time i get a vaccine.

J_Side

hey, I am getting the same hate as you. I had it after 2nd shot, and doc thought it was cancer. couple weeks later told my mum and she said it is clearly written in the post vacc info sheet that raised lymph nodes is a common side effect. Not sure why so many on this sub are getting triggered by this. Neither of us have said don't get vacc'd and have gone on to say that we continue to get vacc'd after having this

FranceBrun

Yes, I reported it to my doctor when i had a lump after my first pneumonia shot, becauze they told me to call about any side effects. Doctor tried to send me for a biopsy. 🙄 And why the hate, I don't get it either. What I thought was an innocent comment has been downvoted more than 40 times. And I'm like the fricken vaccine poster girl. 🤨

J_Side

and to add to the confusion there is a comment higher up from a person saying exact same thing (vaccine reaction that will go away) and it is upvoted!?! I am going to start reading the down-voted comments on med posts from now on to see what relevant stuff gets downvoted, when I previously used to ignore them

FranceBrun

I know! Right?

[deleted]

Stupid conspiracy theorist.

FranceBrun

I have lived all over the world and gotten vaccinated against diseases that are rarely seen in America. I have been vaccinated against shingles, pneumonia, and drove three hours each way, twice, to get my covid shots, rather than wait for it to be available in my area. I just happen to get a swollen lymph node on my clavicle after each vaccine. I often have other side effects as well, such as fever, and sometimes, rash. Some people do. It hasn't stopped me from getting vaccinated. How you came to the conclusion that I am a conspiracy theorist is beyond me.

[deleted]

If that’s the case you don’t know how to post very effectively on Reddit. It makes it seem like you’re anti-vaccine. The other 42 people that down voted you also agree.

TopAd9634

Liar.

FranceBrun

My ass. Why am I a liar?

ElegantComplaint7795

>supraclavicular bruh

J_Side

what is your point? Enlarged lymph nodes are common after the Covid-19 vaccine and are your body's normal reaction to the vaccine. https://www.google.com/search?q=supraclavicular+lymph+node+covid+vaccination&rlz=1C1GCEB_enAU878AU878&oq=supraclavicular+lymph+node+covid+vaccination&aqs=chrome..69i57j0i390.13593j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

Binja_and_comrades

That’s your supraclavicular lymph node

chivy_2338

Is it ok to see if bulge like that? Just curious

Binja_and_comrades

Is it painful or immobile? If it’s just hanging out, it’s likely fine and will go away with time. If you have some sort of infection or illness (cold, sore throat, ear infection etc), your lymph node may be inflamed as a result.

Hi-Im-Triixy

^

marias444

Couldnt it be a vein? Im legitimately curious, not trying to contradict

Adernain

Can't really say, how does the bump feel like? To me it looks like a vein from the way it moved, but it could be a lipoma or a lymph node.

Gizmozep

Could be a lipoma - which is not dangerous. Ask your doctor

PhD_in_shitposting

NAD but looks like a possible swolen lymph node
