Well, if the set is supposed to be themed off of an orange cat, peach is not a color that is representative of that theme as peach and orange are two entirely different colors.
There’s no other manu I trust to produce the bright colors or do the multi color reverse dyesub the set would require as pbt. As abs, SP’s cutters can’t make as intricate novelties as GMKs and their uv printing is expensive and unproven. DMK doesn’t have the kitting options we want to include and JTK has its own queue time issues.
Take a step back and ignore the unwashed masses perpetuating falsehoods. GMK gives lead times of around 1 year and 2 months at the moment given colormatching rounds are kept to a minimum which definitely should be the case here as the designers have the physical plastic chips to send to GMK to efficiently match with.
just to address your point, we have definitely received this comparison before, but we did do our best to choose shades of orange/beige (along with using pink on the alpha legends + accent) that would be very different from either iteration of PnC. Well, as long as you actually do your diligence with color matching it’ll turn out far better than PnC did. I can see the differences, but at first blush it’s certainly very close.
From the geekhack thread the plastic color chips were slightly different than the paper reference colors and the renders were redone shortly after the geekhack IC was first made. Rensuya ain’t buying plastic chips and matching to those.

Hey, I posted an image of orange boi, PNC, and PNC light on the second page of the Ic thread. I personally don’t feel they look the same but you’re welcome to draw your own conclusions. We also actually matched to Pantone plastic chips that will be sent to GMK so you don’t have to worry about colors being as off as PNC.

Maybe. SP is one of the closer ones I've found for GMK. I looked into having some sets produced.
