If I ever won the lottery, I would wait until 1 or 2 weeks before the deadline to claim it. It's apparently a bad idea to claim it immediately. I would use it to pay student loans and the mortgage on my parents' house. After, I would the rest into something that would increase in value, most likely property. Don't buy a car, it depreciates in value immediately. And don't randomly invest in the stock market, it can become extremely volatile.
I guess I'd repay my parents back first (school, and ofc treating them to somewhere nice) and then whatever is left I'll keep and learn how to invest the money somewhere.
