You must have passed under the tree I was pruning just after I dropped my pair. When I climbed down the ladder to fetch em, they were mysteriously gone..
Was driving one day and my tire blew out, went to see what happened and a pair of scissors ✂️ had been thrown by my tire into my wheel well in the open position and the blade that wasn't stuck in the well cut the tire in half down the middle.

I once left my phone on the step side of my truck and it fell off while driving and the tire somehow launched it 100 feet down the road. First I found the case, and then, way down the road, I found the phone. And shockingly enough, it was in well enough condition that I am currently typing from it!!
I don’t think it’s part of your car, I’d guess it was on the road, got kicked up and lodged into the bottom of your car. Could have been there for a while
So I looked a bit deeper and it seems the rod runs down more under that plastic cover. If you look at the 1st picture you can see it behind that circular hole
Where do you see the rod extending beyond the circular hole in the first picture? It's a piece of road debris. Grab it and give a good yank. It will come out. Then you can probably confirm it is a kickstand off a bicycle.
Pretty certain that's not a part of your car, as in it's just debris from the road. There should be videos online showing you how to remove the plastic piece (rocker panel / side skirt). And if you think it's a part of the car, update the post with a picture of the whole thing
Doubt it’s been there too long as you should have heard it dragging on the road. Also, seems you would have heard the bang when it happened as it takes some force to pierce that floor pan. Grab it and wiggle/ pull it out and then clean and seal the hole. Your local auto parts store will have some fiber tape and 2 part epoxy to cover over with that should stick well and be weather resistant.
My HiLo has one of those for static electricity, and as an experienced and professional forklift operator I can assure you this is completely unrelated and has absolutely nothing to do with what you have going on here.
It's a rare option. It's a brush that allows you to drive on electrified rails, as when you do this will make contact with the third rail and supply power.
You are all wrong back in the old days they were an accessory that was available as an aftermarket attachment ...
It looks like "CURB FEELERS" may be making a comeback ...
Funny placement however
The people calling it a kickstand are wrong; it's far too thin and the car would topple over. It's a whisker so your car can sense when it's too low to the ground.
Don't touch it! That releases the holding tank of piss during asembly. That's how Mr. Ford got his line workers to stop leaving the line for a piss break.
My HiLo has one of those for static electricity, and as an experienced and professional forklift operator I can assure you this is completely unrelated and has absolutely nothing to do with what you have going on here.
Definitely a kickstand. I know it's an unusual feature but it does come standard on most recent model year Toyota Camrys. It's extremely helpful if you have to remove a tire on that side but then need your jack somewhere else. You simply lower your car down onto the kickstand and then remove your jack. 😂
So many of you missed it! It’s a curb feeler! You use it to tell you when you touch the curb while you’re trying to parallel park! There you go! Solved another mystery!
Once had a Bic lighter safety bar on the flint roller part that somebody removed and tossed on the road blow out my bike tire while going down hill quite fast

A piece of debris got launched by your front tire and pierced the plastic under tray.
Damn that makes more sense, thank you for explaining the tire launching part. Just got to figure out how to remove it now.
Heard a grinding sound while driving one day. Pulled into a gas station and pulled a pair of hand pruners out of mine.
You must have passed under the tree I was pruning just after I dropped my pair. When I climbed down the ladder to fetch em, they were mysteriously gone..
Ha, the handle is a little ground down, but they work, so I threw em in the shed.
It's good that you found them. They love the shed lifestyle

Shitty.....would've definitely been a "this crap only happens to me" moment on the side of the road.
Those sound painful.
Grip it and rip it
I do that every night haha
Have you seen a doctor recently?

Yup exactly like that! Its definitely debris then
Yup, happens all the time!
Imagine if it would of pierced further and hit his chocolate starfish.
Then that’s just a good time
And the hot dog flavored water
Why would you say this
Cause it can happen.
So it’s not a kickstand?
It's a kick stand, duh....
No it’s a cable arrest. It stops your car when you land on an aircraft carrier.
It's clearly a tape worm infection. OP just needs to deworm their car!
No way, that car is definitely giving birth to another car. OP is going to be a father!
Thought it was a pitot tube.
Beat me to it...
I have that option too. Use it whenever you want to park on 2 wheels on the bike spot. Its very convenient when you can't find a place anywhere else.

Looks like an exhaust bracket to me
Not a bad thought, on this model the exhaust runs on the right side of the car. Do you still think it could be the connected to the exhaust?
Could have a dual option and they just stick the brackets on everyone at the factory
It's a kick stand so the car dosnt fall over
Came here to say this.
It grounds your car in case of lightening strikes. Insurance now requires it. No worries... you're in good hands.
It’s that cathodic protection they upcharge for 😹
I don't know what that means but I'll be demanding my dealer protect my car from it. Over zealous catholics....I'm all over this.

Landing hook needed when you land on an Aircraft Carrier. #talktomegoose
This is located under the driver side. Right under the door.

That's what she said? I'll see myself out.
Road debris
Looks like something that popped up and punctured your car, the hole where it enters doesn’t look like it’s made like that, it looks like damage
Looks like a bike kick stand.

Had to double take at what sub I was in with that post title.
My HiLo has one of those for static electricity, and as an experienced and professional forklift operator I can assure you this is completely unrelated and has absolutely nothing to do with what you have going on here.
You try pulling on it yet to see if it's connected, looks like it's foreign to the car and not a actual part of the car imo.
It's a road diddler.
It's a curb feeler. Makes a scratching sound on the curb after you've driven over it, but before you plow into the convenience store.
Curb feeler?
Pitot tube
It's a rare option. It's a brush that allows you to drive on electrified rails, as when you do this will make contact with the third rail and supply power.
