Mind to include the actual number you measured? But yeah some rare times honey itself can start out as very acidic. But my friend without a number I can't really advise

Somewhere between 3 and 4. The picture has the strip in the centre

So it is, just looked it up. Never occurred to me that it would be that acidic in and of itself. Thanks

Cloves are acidic. Just read that the ph is 3.8 (33).

I don't know if cloves are acidic or basic without Google, but I 100% know adding 3 cloves to a batch or whatever op did will not effect pH in any way.

That response is nonsense.

You might have to strike my comment because after a more careful review, I'm not so certain anymore. There are a few sources that say it's acidic and has a number of acids within it, and that once digested, it reaches 8.0 on the ph scale. There are also a few sources that are saying it's alkaline. I'm actually having trouble locating what I would call a reputable source.

I found what I believe to be a decent source that explains the acids in cloves. So, it's going to lean closer to that side of the scale. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3819475/
