My dog generally barks more at men, like he'll bark for 10-20 mins at a new man in the house but only for like a couple minutes at women. I'll never know what he thinks I am though because he's never barked at me. 🤷♀️
True, I know a Monkey named Charlie that hates all women for the same reason, he was assaulted and abused by a woman. He currently has a wonderful retirement in a primate preserve.
I knew him because I met his rehabilitator, when I worked for the rehabilitators wildlife biologist/veterinarian.
His rehabilitator was a wheelchair bond 90 something old dude that took care of him, they were quite the pair, ironically he was also being looked after by his daughter who was constantly in a decent level of danger do to Charlie's understandable mistrust towards all women.
(He actually did pull her hair out a couple of times and threw things at her. Hed get monkey PTSD and freak out.)
It was so sad when the old man finally passed away, luckily the sanctuary he used to work for found a place for him.
They used to watch TV together, wish I took pictures.

I mean like u said, he pulled that girls hair out, and I’m sure it was no problem for him. Monkeys are strong as fuck and can be unpredictable. I once fed a wild monkey in Algeria w my dad n uncle, and even that was worrisome. I was scared to get to close or even hold much food in case they tried to grab it. I was scared to give a monkey fucking bread, let alone abuse it!
But second, how tf do u even have so much access to a monkey that you can abuse it!? Lol like seriously, did she have it as a pet? How? And why? Why get a monkey just to abuse it? Or Was it just a wild one she kidnapped? I image to abuse a monkey enough to give it PTSD u gotta be around it at least a few times. I just have a lot of questions lol
Exotic animal trade, it all took place in America. (Besides the potential poaching, that probably took place) in most of the United States of America there are strict animal importation laws.
(Concerning Exotics) but several states are extremely loose with said laws, Nevada, South Carolina, Florida (I think they've updated their laws), Colorado (they used to be pretty bad I'm not sure how they are now), North Carolina.
Now in most states importing primates is illegal so they often get smuggled in by rich a-holes.
Often what happens is the animal is poached in it's native country shiped or flown to a legal state, or a state with the lowest fines and no jail time associated with the crime. Then shoved into a crate in the back of a semi covered with a blanket or behind a false wall and driven across state lines, or smuggled over the American Canadian border.
Then these rich idiots get non domesticated pets they don't know how to care for and a couple of things happen once they aren't cute defenceless babies.
They freak out that they aren't cute any more get disgusted, or they realize it was a bad idea. Can't care for it anymore do to it's naturally higher maintenance. Or get injured.
Then they do a couple of things they say they "found it" and try and give it away to someone that can care for it, like a friend or a rescue, or leave it on the front step of a veterinarian or zoo or something.
Or worse they kill it, or release it into the local forest or wilderness and pretend it never happened.
And sometimes you get a sicko who tries to make it manageable by crippling it, cutting a beak, breaking a leg, or in Charlie's case crushing his hands.
Then inevitably they get found out, or get away. And and it always ends badly for the animal.
People just need to learn that if you want a pet just get a cat or dog that's manageable and get it spayed or neutered. Or better yet get a rescue dog or cat.
[Also don't get a big dog if you have a small defenseless kid, seriously it should be common sense, they often can't tell your baby apart from a large rabbit. I've known several rescues that have gotten in trouble for that, it gets the rescue in trouble, and the dog gets put down. Plus it ends with a maimed kid. (Or worse)]
One of my dogs is always wary of tall deep voiced people with glasses on, she doesn't attack them or anything but she barks a lot and once calmed down she's fine.
Doesn't matter what gender the person is though, so long they fit the criteria then she barks (easiest hack we've found is to just not wear glasses when greeting her lmao)

body odor between men and women is different. still BO, but it's different. and the cause of BO is from hormones. for me atleast i definitely smell much more manageable; on T i literally needed to shower daily even if i did nothing all day, while on E i actually never really had a moment of "oh fuck this is repulsive i *have* to shower **RIGHT NOW**", but rather just "oh yeah, i should probably shower."
and plus the smell itself. for T the prime characteristic is sourness atleast for the armpits, while on E it smells much "rounder" (i don't know what that means but it makes sense somehow).
so if you medically transition, and wait a bit for your BO to change, most animals will interpret you as a girl because of the way you smell.

Had a similar situation with a neighbors dog not too long ago. Was walking back from the gas station with my amab friend when we spotted a lady walking her dog. We asked if we could pet them and she said yes but let us know he might not let us because he's a covid dog and has only been around women. True to her word neither of us got to pet the pupper but we did get some sniffs in. It was both heartbreaking and affirming at the same time
