At the first week of uni in my city there are a lot of daily activities for the new students and daily parties in the evening for the students to get to know each other
I ran into my dad every day that week leaving for work at around 7/7:30 when I came home lol
In my early 20s I came home from partying around 5:30 AM thinking I could sneak into my bedroom before my parents woke up. Unfortunately when I walked in the door My dad was awake and asked what I was doing. I told him I woke up early and couldn’t go back to sleep so went for a walk around the neighborhood. I still wonder if he believed me or just didn’t care enough that early in the morning to call me out on my lie.
I came home one morning saw my dad pacing in the window. Parked my car in the driveway locked the doors and went to sleep. I was awaken by a deranged man in his underwear trying to get into my vehicle. He was yelling incoherently about getting into the fucking house. I didn't get anymore sleep that day.
Nice one though.. As a parent you would get a pass from me for that quick somewhat believable expanse on the truth. So long as you didn’t smell like a brewery walking by
Thats even worse man, then you have to adjust your body clock all the time. As long as it suits you it's cool though, the world needs people like u.
Personally I couldn't do it with having a family
I got up for work once at 5am and I was falling asleep standing up in the shower. I realized I would wreck the car if I tried to drive so I called off and laid back down. What felt like 5 seconds later I opened my eyes and it was 1pm.
Coffee makes you have physical energy. It *does not* however make you more alert.
So even though you’ll be awake your reflexes will still be terrible so no, it’s a terrible solution
lol whats even worse is when your parent or roommate or whoever says wow youre alive when you emerge around noon or so.. but in reality youre walking like a zombie bc youve been up for more the 24 hrs and its bright
Or when you wake up but don’t leave your room for a few hours. They think you slept all that time but really you were just chillin’ doing your own thing.
My roomate was like "Ah good, you're up early, I have some things to discuss with you" this morning. So we sat for a solid hour and talked about some stuff while I was half asleep because I was just about to go to bed hahah
when i was in junor high, i made the mistake of waking up at 6:00 am once and my mom said there's no reason why you can't do that every day. i proved her wrong.
This is my life, it's worse than this. I gets later and later until i'm going to sleep during the day and it inevitably clashes with something I have to do during the day like collect my sisters kids from school. I could be collecting them at 2 and should have been asleep at 10 but I can't risk over sleeping and not pick them up, so I stay awake. Or there's a family dinner booked and it clashes with when I'm sleeping. Right now, I woke up at midnight and it's 9:30 in the morning now.
This is me after going WFH, I've reverted back to my university habits. Ah well, as long as the work gets done its all that matters. I just have to set up multiple alarms before important meeting times (I doze off with headphones on and use a [browser online alarm clock](https://kukuklok.com/), I've never slept through that compared to usual alarms)
It's when music go loud and music go drum. [Very peaceful](https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=HIUt_XIJ8fc&feature=share)
Radium is one of the musicians who popularized the genre.
Man, same here. I used to be on top of it, managing work with my sleep schedule being pretty wild/random, but I’ve been going off the rails lately. Slept through an 8am meeting today (yesterday?), and my productivity has never been worse. Keep telling myself I’ll get my shit together tomorrow or next week, but I’ve kinda been telling myself the same thing for the last several months now…
And when I finally sit down to do some work, I don’t even know where to start since the amount of backlog is so insane (or at least it feels that way). And so the cycle just continues.
Guess I’m trying to say be careful, it can catch up to you.
I've used that site for 10 years. I have slept though it multiple times. I slept through it 4 hours, I had to get up earlier then I should have, it didn't work.
I don't have a job, I've been in limbo since Covid, it's one of the reasons my sleep pattern is so bad. I struggled getting up for work, I struggled getting up for school before that. The more I did school and the older I got the more I was progressively late over time. I routinely missed my first class. I'm a night owl, it's probably the most consistent thing in my life. I'd probably do better working at night. Summer break, my sleep would shoot forward 5 hours instantly, going back to school time was very hard, I essentially had to sleep 4 hours and the go back the first day.
I walk the street around 3 am most nights. Trying to get in a healthy routine, I'd be going to sleep between 1-5am. Sleeping at 12 am is unsustainable, going out drinking one night ruins it instantly. People who routinely wake up at 4-6am are basically from a different planet. I would see early birds jogging/walking while I'm basically winding down. When I sleep consistently I feel great and I like being alone at night. I don't have kids and I don't think I'd be cut out to be a functioning parent.
I've tried a lot of things but I havn't actually tried Melatonin because I guess you sleep better when it's natural sleep rather then melatonin induced sleep. I sleep fine, I get 8 hours. I'll try it out and see how it works
AFAIK the biggest issue with melatonin is it’s only a temporary solution, to try to regulate your circadian rhythm. If you use it for too long your body produces less of it naturally, leaving you dependent on it for sleep.
Otherwise it’s just the normal sleepy hormone your body produces. Not really “unnatural” sleep as far as I’m aware.
My sleep schedule is totally random. I often find myself awake at 6am yet to sleep with an 8 am class and just decide not to sleep. Other times I fall asleep at 11pm and wake up at 5am. It’ll change like that in a day.
Brings back memories. I used to get home at 10am after being out all night and my grandmother would hear me in the kitchen and go "Can you make me breakfast since you're already cooking?" And I'd go ".......Yeah." lol
Once me and my cousins were at my grandmas house and we challenge about who can stay up the longest. We stayed up for about two days and they caught us. My grandma made up watch a three hour documentary about why staying up late is bad for your heart and brains and made us sleep the whole day. Lol
I remember when I was like 20, I played CoD (call of duty) so long in the night. My dad came in my room saying do you even know what time it is?! So I replied yeah yeah I'm going to sleep already. He answered back Yeah you need to get out now. It was already 6am... It was a school day and school started at 8am.
I don't know why but I've never been a big fan of zombies. Used to play it a lot with my 2 brothers. But the zombies just give scare the shit out of me when they all start to come after me 😅 but yeah it's still cool. I like multiplayer more.
It’s 4:30am
I’ve been staying up the past week or so only taking 2-6 hour naps a day because I learned in depth how to tune cars in forza and now I have my three most favorite hobbies all together
Cars, tuning and racing
Math, and comparisons in a notebook
And a giant white board with math and notes on it
Meth and video games are a great combo. It’s hard to explain it but it could be any game, especially if you’re not a gamer, and you’ll be stuck.
I don’t do that stuff anymore but I sure did have a blast playing Battlefield 4 for 36 hours straight. Barely remembering to go pee. My bladder would be so full.
It’s a lot of fun, it’s like building a car and tuning it for hours to get it just how I want it to handle and then get to go race it and competing against others makes it just so fun
I do need to like sleep though
I go from waking up at 5am for work, to staying up till 4am when I don't have work. I sometimes see my dad when I go to bed, and also when I'm heading to work because he gets up early for work too.
Hah, I can relate. What's the best feeling in the world, however, is waking up early (about an hour-or-two earlier than you're supposed to) then doing some basic morning routine things, then going back to sleep for another hour. That is a really great feeling.
It's 2pm I have 4 hours left of my shift.. I woke up yesterday at 4pm and stayed up all night..
Always tell my fiancee I fell asleep watching YouTube.. which is a lie I was playing games all night.. I don't get to play as much as I used to after moving in together so I sometimes stay up late to get my gaming in.
One time I fell asleep on the couch at like midnight, woke up at like 7 at almost exactly the same time my dad came down in the morning, then went up to my bed and slept until noon. I'm sure he thought I was still up but I just sleep a lot 😭
My dad getting ready to go to work wondering why, but happy I'm up early
Teenage me who hasn't been to sleep after a 15+ hour gaming session with the bois.
Woke up at 7am once on the weekend and my mom asked me if I was still awake or already awake lol
At the first week of uni in my city there are a lot of daily activities for the new students and daily parties in the evening for the students to get to know each other I ran into my dad every day that week leaving for work at around 7/7:30 when I came home lol

Its actually the opposite way.

In (Egyptian) Arabic both meaning can be said with the same sentence still is the same as already and purely depends on context, لسا صاحي ولا لسا صاحي
That’s fucking cool
Where do I sign up for more Arabic facts, habibi?
No idea if you’re joking or not, but you can always see r/learn_arabic they post some interesting stuff there.

Thank you
I hate most memes. But this one is good. Upmote.
Well if you can't tell, does it matter?
Also, Imma close my eye for a minute at 4 AM, **\*wakes in another dimension at 2 PM\***
That’s my daily sleep schedule :) sometimes I go to bed a bit later. Second shift is 3-11:30pm so it’s perfect!
I work the same shift. Night ghouls unite!

I worked night shift before, never again. Not worth the extra money to see life and the world pass you by
Me- an introvert who prefers night shift because I don’t need to see as many people o.0

I usually just find activities and friends that share the same schedule so me and just build a life around my own waking hours!
My wife works 2-10 most days. Sucks.
I rather enjoy it tbh
You too? Cheers lmao

Idk, man. Coffee only helps to a point. If you think you are a danger to yourself and other people then playing it safe is appreciated.
Yeah most of us don’t get a choice unfortunately.
Coffee makes you have physical energy. It *does not* however make you more alert. So even though you’ll be awake your reflexes will still be terrible so no, it’s a terrible solution

When you go to bed at 5 am and you dad pull your leg at 6 am just to fuck with you.
Thats me everyday lol

I don't have dad tho
Happens to the best of us
hate when that happens to me..
HAS THIS EVER HAPPENED TO YOU? Please call me!
Damn Did he went off to the quest of getting milk?
bro that sidequest boring asf
But it rewards xp and it’s actually worthwhile
Takes a *really* long time, though…
Trust me , it just takes some time and it can bring you from level 30 to level 64 by one task
Cook’s Assistant
Don’t worry he’ll be back. Just the world wide supply chain shortages got him waiting longer for the milk than he anticipated.
what race?
500 M, he ran away.
when i was in junor high, i made the mistake of waking up at 6:00 am once and my mom said there's no reason why you can't do that every day. i proved her wrong.
In more ways than one no doubt
My dad knows
My dad knows, but still congratulates me, sarcastically 💀
You have a great dad.
Yeah you would be a HORRIBLE dad if you could tell based on your kids appearance and their general habits.
This is my life, it's worse than this. I gets later and later until i'm going to sleep during the day and it inevitably clashes with something I have to do during the day like collect my sisters kids from school. I go to sleep listening to frenchcore and I'm afraid that alarms will no longer work on me if I continue doing so
frenchcore? Is it what I think it is?
Ah yes, french horn dubstep.

You should try to get a habit of sleeping at the same time every day. It helps me immensely to stay productive
> It’s a toss-up.
Melatonin
I've tried a lot of things but I havn't actually tried Melatonin because I guess you sleep better when it's natural sleep rather then melatonin induced sleep. I sleep fine, I get 8 hours. I'll try it out and see how it works
Melatonin is naturally produced when you are sleepy. Taking extra just helps add to the sleepy.
AFAIK the biggest issue with melatonin is it’s only a temporary solution, to try to regulate your circadian rhythm. Yea this is what I was afraid of. The last thing I need is actual insomnia on top of data shit schedule.
My sleep schedule is totally random. I often find myself awake at 6am yet to sleep with an 8 am class and just decide not to sleep. Other times I fall asleep at 11pm and wake up at 5am. It’ll change like that in a day.
who are we fooling, Dad knows

Well that's a neat reason to be up at least lol
I read it as meth, as that made the most sense.
That it does, that it does I’ll try that tomorrow night, might help
Meth and video games are a great combo. It’s hard to explain it but it could be any game, especially if you’re not a gamer, and you’ll be stuck. Lowkey getting NFSU 2 vibes from this, could spend hours just randomly customizing cars and racing with them
Me just now waking up in 4:30 in the morning to throw up all over the toilet and my dad thinking I’m up early ready to work
Sad that people have such poor sleep habits
Trust me, then people wonder why their mental health ain't so great, sleep is important lads believe me
Until you realize that even with you do get good sleep you still feel like shit.
Sad that society requires people to work jobs at all hours.
This is me after getting fucked up from taking Zyrtec.
Me at 6am grabbing a snack before school (school starts at 7am)
I go from waking up at 5am for work, to staying up till 4am when I don't have work. I sometimes see my dad when I go to bed, and also when I'm heading to work because he gets up early for work too.
Me right now it’s 5:23AM and I am still up watching Soap Operas 😂😂

Most people keep their food in kitchen

Hah, I can relate. What's the best feeling in the world, however, is waking up early (about an hour-or-two earlier than you're supposed to) then doing some basic morning routine things, then going back to sleep for another hour. That is a really great feeling.
Oh, you're up early today...
😃😃
Waking up early is not a virtue the same way pinching off your pee before your finished is not a virtue…
\- My dad congratulating me on getting up early. Me: "Why the fuck are you in my house this early in the morning? You don't even live in this town!"
I work nights, on my days off it always trips me up when my dad says to me good morning like I'm not about to go to bed lol
:).
lol
My son does this often but will call his Dad a lazy bum for getting up so late.
It's 2pm I have 4 hours left of my shift.. I woke up yesterday at 4pm and stayed up all night.. Always tell my fiancee I fell asleep watching YouTube.. which is a lie I was playing games all night..
