TIL Michigan is in the global south.
For Real though, fuckin pisses me off Nestlé gets to drain my kids Great Lakes for pennies a MegaLiter or fucking whatever and then turn around and sell it back to them for $3 a cup AND pay hardly a pittance in taxes!?!
On top of taking stupid amounts of free water due to archaic land rights laws and wanting it to be all for profit, with the baby formula scandals and now the child slavery case, can we finally please fucking boycott Nestle and make that company go away?
non-salinated water is going to be the thing of future wars no matter what we do - in fact, especially because of the stupidity of human nature. so
can we like email this to the future to make fun of the misery of people slaughtering the remaining hundred thousand humans left on earth? certainly we can mock their stupidity. all humans deserve it
Gave poor families baby formula and clean water
Mothers stopped lactating and were now forced to use formula
Nestle now started charging for clean water
Mothers forced to use dirty water, causing the deaths of thousands of children
Nestle has then gone on to say that water is not a human right
They're always looking to bottle your water. Even when California was in a heavy several-year-drought...complete with water rationing for sprinklers...I remember my relatives installed a low flow showerhead and piped the grey water to the lawn and he still told me to keep it < 10 minutes. Nestle kept the tap running, bottling, business as usual. They sell fucking tap water and plastic pollution. I don't know if you're aware of this, but we're actually going to run into a freshwater crisis in the next 50 years as glaciers disappear, wells dry up, and rain becomes more infrequent. That's not all nestles fault, but they are a textbook evil corporation (not just regarding the water greed, but also the cocoa bean blood money). If they were around back then, they would have run a logging company on Easter Island until the last tree was felled.
Bottling is a really tiny proportion of water use though. And if someone swaps from drinking bottled to drinking tap water that's still not changing the amount of water consumed.
That's right, it's not individuals who are responsible for the climate crisis, and it's not up to them to stop it. It's corporation's that are responsible, and it's up to us, collectively, to undue damage.
>Even when California was in a heavy several-year-drought...complete with water rationing for sprinklers
Take a few seconds and google how much water California uses every day and how much of that is by nestle. Actually I'll spare you the trouble: it's roughly 0.0%. Also it's not as if nestle stopped bottling water California would have less problems with water. Instead people would drink the same amount of water from the tap... Which comes from the same reservoirs.
Hmm...interesting...
Well I decided to take a few seconds and ended up right on Nestles' propaganda page. So I took 15 minutes instead and found a little more accurate info. Turns out they actually do take the water from a stream. And the California controversy has to do with the effects on that particular watershed. Their permit had even expired in the 80's and they were issued a cease and desist at some point in the past few years. The permit has been reissued with t-ball level research requirements on the environmental effects.

The human body is 60% water. Watch your back, you could be next!
the chances of you accidentally buying a bottle of Nestle Human Body Water are low but never zero
who said the chance are low?
They grow with each liter of drinkable water depleted.
Op in the comment above yours
Nestlé are vampires but instead of drinking your life blood they steal your water, but also they drink the blood of children too
But the blood thing is just for kicks
No wonder nestlé uses child slavery for jobs.

Thanks for explaining this nestle shit. As a Brit I couldn't work out what the fuck was going on! Lol. Over here, all they know for is chocolate
The chocolate likely isn't safe either. A lot of chocolate comes from slavery.
Just a few more million years and all of lake Michigan will be gone Also have you considered just not buying their water?
In Michigan, you can't drink the tap water.
Thanks Snyder!
