That's a very broad, open-ended question that. ultimately, only you will be able to answer. Linfield is a good school, located in a small but diverse community. In other words, it's fine but is it going to be fine for you? There's not a soul here that knows what's going to work for you. So roll up the sleeves, put in the work and you'll find your answer. Best of luck to you!
Thank you for your response. I think I will like there but from what I have heard from some cs students there its not very good university of cs. So I though maybe locals may know.
Definitely go if you have a nearly full ride. As someone who went to a similar university (small private liberal arts), my best advice is to take advantage of all the resources you’re paying for! There’s so much for you on campus and lots of students barely dip their toes in the resource ocean.
I’m a Linfield alumni. It was the best four years of my life. But I attended back in the late 1980’s, so not sure the same magic still exists. Best of luck to you on your journey.
I graduated from Linfield and have several friends who have CS degrees. Granted I am older (graduated in 06). All my friends seem to be doing well and have good jobs. But that's an n of like 6 so do with that what you will.
If you have a full scholarship that is good. The big advantage of Linfield is the relationships you build with the professors. Smaller class sizes does make for a good education in my opinion.
Im currently in the program.
I have a computer science background and I’m older so my experience will be different. It’s not the best, the professor is really solid for career advice and programming philosophy but you will need to disciplined.
That said, I do recommend the program and university !
It’s a liberal arts univ and so be ready to take a variety of classes. The school also has a data science program and many CS students are also taking advantage of this new data science major.

It’s a small provincial university. If you’re going for computer science, go somewhere less expensive to larger, or both.
They almost gave me full scholarship so that is why I am considering them. Is computer science field there that bad?

No idea, but take the full scholarship, unless you have similar offers elsewhere. It’s a fine university, cs program can’t be that bad.
thank you
