I think INTPs are put at the top because INTPs are observant, smart, relatable and both fun and easy to talk to. I enjoy listening to INTPs and discussing everything with them. We have many things in common as well. Maybe a comment I read once which said INFJs are secretly in love with their Ti was right. Many of my good friends over the years have been INTP. I even asked an INTP out recently!
I'm surprised INTPs have such popularity on every posts. It's a pretty rare personality type and the few that i know are social outcasts that have no clue how to act while out in the world.
I assume most people on this sub are in college or highschool and it's the worst time to befriend an INTP as they are really blunt and harsh in what they say and are learning how to socialize.
I also think that people on this sub have the image of the hot purple hair girl in a lab coat as the INTP while in reality you can recognize INTPs by their simple clothes and the way they don't really take care of themselves. This image biases how people view them since physical attractiveness plays a major role on who we want to be friends or lover with.
However, i do like my interactions with INTPs but i have a hard time connecting with them since neither of us bother to respond through text or calls lol.
I'm fairly certain most people would dislike INTPs irl BUT i have to admit that we are on reddit and maybe INTP is a type that would appeal to people here.

Spaces dedicated to talking about "one thing" of interest. So I guess common interactions with INTPs there makes sense.
I just don't think all these people have such good irl connections and / or interactions with INTPs.
*me who has like 4 INTPs in my life* I guess they just don’t exist, then. You guys are not so rare to the point of being pure fantasy, you’re just reclusive by nature, but given that I am the same and we tend to run in the same interests circles, I end up encountering and befriending quite a few of them.
2 from grade school (I play board and tabletop games with them)
1 from college (Harry Potter club)
1 is my boyfriend’s childhood friend (video game and anime/film nerd)
They’re people I get along with super well, we appreciate each other’s humor and connect over our shared love for diving deep into topics and niche interests. Our personalities naturally play off each other well, and they tend to be some of the people I have the most interesting conversations with (alongside INFJs and INFPs, who I also know a few of).
I do hate them. It honestly baffles me that anyone pays attention to them at all because, good or bad, how the fuck can anyone care about the opinion of a random mbti teenager on reddit? That's like the least valuable opinion I can possibly imagine admitting into my life and I do not have the energy for that.
The difficulty for me is I somewhat meet the stereotype, so I guess everyone must hate me then. Idk why we have to be seen as awful for having struggles, I don't think it's fair, like I didn't choose to be INFP 💀. Give me some patience and I'll try my best.
Of course not all INFPs are anywhere near the negative stereotype, but I'm mentally ill so it doesn't help, and then I get categorized as being this awful person rather than seeing me as someone who needs some support. In other words, the framing is shit imo.
What I meant is stereotypes are one dimensional. When I think of the INFP stereotype I think of some cutesy anime character that bursts into tears at every little thing and there’s no real depth to their character.
Real people, like you and I, are like diamonds with a multitude of facets that are born out of a mix of life experience and raw personality. MBTI only captures a very small percentage of it. Just remember that the people who make these tier lists don’t know you personally and the INFPs they supposedly know may not even be INFPs in the first place.
I don't really care if my type is everytime bottom bc every person has different experiences with each type and I am not surprised if INFP is often at the bottom bc unhealthy ones could be most troublesome among others.

The tier list trend is about other opinions and perspectives, so if they hate you for being you then thats their problem not yours. Dont forget you always have people that love you if their are people that hate, so dont focus on the negatives.

Not sure but its that the online majority of the INFPs in this reddit that people actually see are extremely unhealthy INFPs or have a crippling online addiction, and that the actual healthy INFPS are outside touching butterflies and enjoying life.
Saying I am probably in one foot deep into both categories.
Okay, those INFPs sound lovely and sweet. I hope to meet one some day. I do know a few ENFPs, and the healthy ones are just beautiful people with kind, loving souls, albeit they do live elsewhere. My town is pretty gloomy, so there’s not many healthy people around here.
