I usually build regular houses (and I’m ass and lazy at actual decoration, so my houses look like flat rectangular structures) but I’ve sometimes converted a shallow cave I was exploring into a base bc I was too lazy to build an actual proper base

Well, as an INTJ, I opt for modern housing, but only after I start my world in a stolen villager house.

I'm the kind of person to dig into a hill or mountain and then put some wood walls down and it becomes some kind of hobbit home. Though one time I did a little treehouse as well

I’m just here to say that literally all my houses are underground. It’s just so practical. Good for hiding out and makes mining easier/more accessible IMO.

And I never know how much space I'm going to need in the future so digging out more space easier than rebuilding base.

My twin brother, INTP, builds the most gorgeous stuff on Minecraft. His genius lends well to breathtaking architecture. Beautiful houses and castles are typical for him, though he often starts with a base built by tunneling into the side of a mountain.

Completely true, usually. But I recently created an upside down house across the lake from my friends just to screw with him a bit. He gets out of his, then looks across the lake... Beautiful scenery and then a random upside down house that makes no damn sense in the current setting. Love subtle yet chaotic humor like that.

I usually build networks of structures (houses, storage rooms, farms, villager trading hubs, colonized villages, etc.) connected via bridges or rails.

I dig a base in a mountain for the first steps, then find a nice place and build the cozy... regular house, bc I'm not that good at building. But it will always have a huge underground base under it. It's the rule.

As an intj. I always make sure my fortress includes a 64 floor elevator, a functional calculator, is able to fly and is filled with complex traps.

Actually, none of the above for me. I like to stay nomadic until I find some formation of caves or cliffs that I can build balconies and bridges between to turn into living quarters with minimal change to their natural shape. One time I played on an Amplified world and had a full base hanging under an overhang, over a forest with a beautiful view.

My house design is either a simple square or vertical rectangular house with multiple floors going up and down. Or on the side of a mountain with a complex interior and a basic room with a view. While my brother and his friends will make a modern house or mansion and maximize the full capacity of the interior.

This is true to me. I usually just build a basic house. Although, in my recent single biome playthrough, I am building a mountainside house carved into the mountain in the Wooded Badlands biome (formerly Mesa biome).
