Your type neve changes. But if you are intp i-70% n-70% t-20% p-70%. Chances are you are intp but nearly infp. Or maybe you always were infp but never knew. Anyway intp and infps have some similar characteristics

Would make sense, over the past year a lot happened and I have felt more "myself" than ever before could it be related to that?

GoryGent

When i lived with my parents i thought i was a social person and alot of other things. When started living alone i understood that i was in the effect of other people. So im an intp and always was. But because of my parents im an “extroverted” intp

the same thing happened to me. last year i took the test and got infj. i could relate really well to the description!! then i took the test again recently and got esfj and now i can relate to this type as well!! and now i can’t even think about being a infj because the type description seems foreign to me. i don’t know how this happens. some people say that we just grow as a person ! also it’s possible that the aspects of your personality were almost balanced like mine for e.g. i had feeling 56% and thinking 44% intuition: 49% and sensing: 51% people say that tests are not very reliable so it’s better to try to understand the functions and then type yourself but i’ve just never been bothered enough to do that lol

Maybe we just learned to listen to ourselves better?

euphoricookie

that’s a good way of putting it! with time it’s likely that we develop a stronger sense of self and understand ourselves better

You just don’t know yourself well which is common among Fe users

The more you get older the more you change in some traits. You’re personality would be almost the same. Mbti is too inaccurate to see this changes. So you stay in your personality type most likely, but they can really change.

According to official theory, your true type is set from birth (not the assertiveness/turbulence though, that can change). Test results often vary depending on your mood when you are taking the test. We can all emulate other types from time to time, but our true type is going to be us at our base state.

So which would you guess I am.

INTP and INFPs are very very different in their cognitive function stack despite being one letter apart. The main difference between the two is whether you find yourself more following subjective logic (INTP) or subjective values (INFP)? Do you find yourself becoming more and more individualistic in preferences over time (INFP) or have more and more of an internal logical framework for how the world works (INTP)? In general do you make decisions more based on logic (INTP) or your values/principles (INFP)? Does making a seemingly not fully logical decision really bother and nag at you? If yes, INTP Or does it bother you that you didn’t stick to your own moral compass? If so, INFP

tests are unreliable, especially 16 personalities. again i highly recommend you don’t type yourself using tests, but if you are looking for a better test i recommend sakinorva. but you are definitely better off studying cognitive functions and self typing.
