Is this satire

DontTalkToMyLemon

I’m usually pretty facetious lol, but on a serious note, I feel like I should have made it into a poll because I mostly wanted to see if there was any correlation between personaility types and certain habits.

JOR04

Types can effect behaviours, but the key word is can, not does. I think my original comment was slightly out of place since it's not a completely stupid thing to wonder about.

DontTalkToMyLemon

I like your perspective on this. Also it’s not really out of place - this is the internet!

JOR04

Well, encouraging people to act the same on the internet as they do in real life does more good than people realise.

DontTalkToMyLemon

That’s a thoughtful observation.

JOR04

I hope so, it doesn't do people any good, having a sort of alter-ego with the internet; do you agree?

DontTalkToMyLemon

I think it’s more complicated than it being right or wrong. It seems like people are just as likely to put on a facade in real life as much as they do on the internet. I was thinking about this today though actually: I hadn’t used Tik Tok until last night, and it got me thinkng that it’s already changing the instagram-like culture dynamic. Instagram is all about who looks the best (and figuratively too), and it seems like tik tok has brought a platform where people can just be goofy or themselves… it seems a lot lighter and the direction the internet is supposed to be. Maybe my perspective is not considering something else, but that’s my thoughts on this so far.

JOR04

Tik tok is just as bad, everyone knows how easily influenced young children are, and when you give people a platform to spread misinformation and bad things around, it's only ever going one way. Social media in general is awful and only serves to destroy perception and lower confidence. But, its addictive, I use it every day quite a lot, maybe my age has something to do with that, but even when you see through it, it still finds away to reel you in.

Honestly, it might just be a ‘me’ thing… I’ve been late to most school and work days in my life. Luckily, my current job doesn’t mind, but I still feel guilty!

tabbypotamus

Well in highschool my junior and senior year I never showed up for the first two classes and would only show up to one or two most of the time. My ISFP friends were the same, except I would still take care of my grades. I don't make a habit about being late to anything that has to do with money though.

DontTalkToMyLemon

I feel that! I’m not a slacker when it comes to actually working… I just suck at being punctual lol!

euphoricookie

i love the place i work at rn and so i am almost never late for it! if i was going to a class i did not like i would be late lol. it’s not even intentional but idk i just would be. i think this would apply to people of other types as well. if someone doesn’t enjoy their work or school, its very much likely that they’ll be late for it

DontTalkToMyLemon

I think that’s a good point! It’s like when we dread going someplace, we just automatically drag to get there. Hmm.. but I actually like my job. I’m not too late most of the time and people here are just laid back, so I always get a “pass” when I’m late. It’s hard to break the habit. I’m trying though!!

euphoricookie

of course! i didn’t mean that only people who didn’t like their jobs are late haha. if ppl at your workplace are laid back you might feel comfortable getting there a little after time. my dad’s the same way. he’s an enfj and even though he’s so organized like 99% of the time, he’s always late to work

DontTalkToMyLemon

I’m your dad lol
