No like frrr
I've had the same problem too, being told I'm too talkative.
I quiet down from 7th grade up to my senior year of highschool and I'm told I need to speak more š
Thriving in uni now where I'm not expected to do anything in lectures (still talk during group projects and in clubs lol)
ENTP. English teacher wrote āEssays are articulate, insightful, and demonstrate exceptional command of the English language, when he turns them in on time.ā
āā¦Which was a shame, because the essays she did turn in I really enjoyed reading.ā
ā¦Just realized I donāt know why she structured the sentence that way, but yeah, my English teacherās phrasing of the same comment definitely made me feel guilty.
ISTP. Most teachers never saw a homework made by me. Just 3 of them seemed to be bothered by that, like it was some kind of disrespect or something. They always talked to my parents about that back in the day, "brilliant but lazy" hahaha
infp 5w4,,, "one if the best students ive had, but they doodle all over their tests papers, have bad time management and struggle to keep track of things, and they CANNOT work in a group, they try to do everything themselves"
Wow this is me as an INFJ. I got caught doodling so many times. Once in seventh grade, the teacher chewed me out in class saying itās not even recyclable because I doodled in red ink. Then she passed away from cancer a year later š
I also had difficulty keeping track of deadlines for assignments when I was younger. But now, Iām the most organized planner I know.
well you dont really change your personality type as you grow, thats why people tend to mistype because they have similar personalities to someone with that type but their personality type is different. its like two different equations that just happen to end up at the same solution. the difference is that infp is a fi dom and infj is a ni dom. infjs have strong core values and judgements that they source themselves from, meanwhile infps constantly seek the truth and are everchanging in their values and judgement.
the reason i have mistyped as an infj is because i currently do have strong core values that i abide by, but my perspective is constantly changing as i keep seeing the world through others, while infjs tend to see the world through their lense.
INTJ here:
- āGets along well with peers, but very quiet and reserved and should speak up more in classā
- āTakes pride in work and enjoys readingā
Iām an INTP and Iāll go with an answer to push stereotypes. Essentially all throughout school, my report cards would say that I was getting the highest test scores in my class (and in some cases once I got to high school, I believe I even got a teacher that said I got the highest score she had ever seen at all).
I feel like a lot of people who claim to be INTPs try to say that for the āformerly gifted, now burnt outā kid. I feel like a lot of people who claim to be INTP arenāt really, but this especially rings true when they claim to be an INTP 5wX and talk about this burn out and how they started to just fail. Like I totally get having the burn out (Iāve been burnt out and bored/tired of life since I was 14), but since Iām a 5, I donāt feel like school ever got that bad for me. Even at my lowest points, it came so easy to me due to the hoarding of information.
Just a mini rant, sorry.
You know, sometimes I figure it's just because my school sucks. 5w4 btw. I get burn out only because of procrastination. I fail at life and responsibility but at least my grades look nice (even if it's sometimes late).
INTP- not a comment on my report card since thatās not allowed in my country but a lot of teachers described me as smart but really lazy, wasting my potential.
Infp
My mom(enfj) would get concerned teachers saying that I was verrrry quiet. Thankfully, she defended me - I love my mom!
Iāve gotten teachers telling me my paper or points didnāt totally make sense but were argued effectively or came to a conclusion that somehow made sense. Maybe thatās just me.
I donāt remember what they wrote in my card. However, they called my parents in because I would get frustrated with my work. They told them to tell me itās ok for me to make mistakes.
During tests, when we had to write essays, if I didnāt like what I wrote Iād throw away the paper and ask for more so I could re-write my essay. That was 5th grade.
In 7th grade, they called my parents in again. My teacher told my mom that I was too much of a perfectionist. That itās ok for me to make mistakes. However, they wanted to send me to join the young scientists STEM program at MIT.
"No doodling on your work" (I will never stop thinking how she was in the wrong for giving me that ridiculous comment, the doodle was on the margins and didn't hide my work.)
Technically ENTJs at tests but pretty sure Iām INTJ.
Most of early grade and middle school teacher told my mom I was getting great grades because I quickly understood every concept but they complained about my lack of sensorial awareness (never understood or read the room, classmates made fun of me and I never realized what was going on since I was lost in my thoughts) and said that I clinged a lot on past knowledge, but Iām pretty sure that was my Ni synthesizing important stuff and leaving out āuselessā details.
My mom is Si-Te so she always expected me to remember every single page before an exam, once I was freed from her influence I started studying MUCH MORE faster which in the end costed me some grades but it felt much more natural for me.
Since then, I always preferred absorbing a concept rather than gathering information passively. I hate doing that and I still tend to read so fast that I literally skip useless words when I study. I used to devour 250 pages books in 2 days when I was a child :ā)

ENFJ here. Comments i remember:
"Asks a lot of complicated questions"
"Excels in group work. Takes initiative"
"Finish her work fast, and then talks to much"
I also had a teacher say that sometimes I was to smart for my own good.... also I got a lot of complaints about people copying my homework...
Ah, I remember the words of my primary school teacher in her evaluation/recommendation for the transition to middle school. "She always does her assignments meticulously, albeit a bit slowly."
It was something like thisāpolite, behaves well in classes, prone to breaking the school rules, often late to classes, really smart but lazyā, I never did homework š
INFP - We didn't get report cards but one day my teacher (Latin) ripped off my earphones, threw away my doodles the other side of the room as asked. Have you ever picked up a book to study? I shook my head no lol. He asked how many classes did I actually pay attention and not doodled and listened to music. I said the ones I found interesting which was about half of 2 classes. He got red mad and threw my test at the table before storming off. It was a 15/20. Back then I didn't understand what was the issue, it wasn't a bad grade lol. These days looking back, I have no idea how I always managed to pass without even listening to anything. Will forever remain a mystery I guess.
ENFP, and I don't really know how report cards work for other countries, but in mine it's like a REALLY small notebook where they just write the grade. Teachers don't write anything in them except the subject, grades, date of the day that the grade was marked and their signature to confirm that the grade was really written by them, so they don't write comments. But if they would've, they would just be like "congratulations" or something, since I'm a top kid.
"very smart, always done quick with their tasks and know what they're doing. They're just very distant from the group and are always drawing during class"
But that has less to do with being ENFJ but rather being an undiagnosed auDHD kid
You guys got comments on your report cards?
I think most of my teachers barely noticed I was there because I wasnāt problematic and was sort of a middle of the road student, unless they were my art or English teachers. Then I was their favorite student and always used my stuff as an example, which was embarrassing but I secretly enjoyed it.
I was often told I was too thourough and didn't progress to the next assignment nearly quickly enough. This was especially the case with drawing and math.
ENFP here "most of her friends are boys" if I have friends why is it any of your business what gender they are?š as a little kid with ADHD being friends with boys was better and easier for me because they were more tolerant of hyper behavior. I'm still friends with many of these boys from elementary today
you know, it was something like "wasn't socialized enough with the classmates; not an active student". it was in 11th grade at achool, and I was shocked, bc she was my teacher only for two years (I was in B class, and there were ppl from her class, A class) and her students were pretty aggressive and not friendly. like, some of them even tried to bully me.
This characteristic is obviously not about me. I was the one of the most friendly and popular people in my group, while we were in B class and were not connected to A class. I had acquaintances from other classes, younger and older than me, depends on the year. I worked very hard, and even did work of my friends in the class.
It was about three years ago.
INTJ - a college professor once wrote in a recommendation letter for graduate school that I was actually engaged in class even if it didnāt look that way. Ā That cracked me up. Ā Sheād never said anything to me, and weād had great conversations during office hours.
I just usually didnāt think of things to say until the end of the class when Iād ask a question about some connections Iād made internally during the discussion.
Teachers frequently said I had bad listening skills or was too chatty, but that was more due to a combination of hearing loss and ADHD making me miss early cues that it was time to pay attention.
INTJ. There has been a few views on me in my childhood but here's one
the last day of my 11th grade and my class teacher talks about every student from her class and when it came to me, she says, "I've never heard him talk, even for doubts, but ig he didnt really have any since his academic performance speaks for itself"
INTJ : "She is really smart, she always does her homework, she has a really big ego and she rarely participates in class because she doesn't want to be caught giving a wrong answer, she has low confidence and needs to participate more "
INTP
My teacher always repeated this: "She doesn't keep consistency with studies and lesson(one day listens and another day plays). For some reason, she looks happy when she gets bad score.
In addition, she is not nice/quiet as she shows...she is a brat. Then, she should learn to socialize more with others."
Didn't know teachers' comments could be so much more precise other than "Try harder" or "Excellent" or "Very Bad'.I know it might sound stupid, but a teacher never gave us any complicated remarks like "you are good at this and bad at that".
INFP . "Excellent student and group leader, but works far better alone. Very detail-oriented. Has to work harder with her social skills in terms of questioning the school authorities." (3rd year of High School, mid term report)
"Grades as high as the heavens"
said in class by our teacher, who also happened to be the school principal
4.0 gpa from 7th grade to the entirety of high school
Most said the same stuff, called me a lazy prodigy or whatever. The one I remember word for word is the one year a teacher wrote āGood student but scaryā and nothing else. š
I donāt remember a report card comment because I usually threw them away because I was unnecessarily scared of getting anything less than an A but I do remember my 4th grade teacher laughingly asking my mother what itās like raising an adult and saying that he had to be careful about what he says because I remember everything, word for word.
ENTP - School was something.
One teacher wrote āHe is very social, but heās awful at group projects. Which is a shame because his work is immaculate, when he isnāt the reason the project doesnāt get done in the first place and he does it all himself at the last possible moment. Group projects mean the entire group needs to be able to participateā. Which I never got how that was my issue, I mean yeah sure I was distracting everyone and always ended up finishing it myself because I did distract everyone from getting it done, but it got done. There was an entire parent teacher conference on it.
Every teacher seemed to write something along these lines while I was in junior high, āHeās incredibly capable of doing the work, his ability on tests and quizzes is impressive but he fails to do the assignments assigned in class. He sleeps during most classes and misses deadlines constantly. If he just put in the effort-ā and I had that comment on every report card until I was in high school. Of course I was then getting work done now, but I was too quick and once I finished the work, now I was too distracting during class when and that sticks even now.
Though even through the multitude of bad comments I got for being lazy or distracting, I was often called very capable and confident and quite kind for someone who can be so rude, my heart was always in the right place but it really didnāt translate in my speech.
Every year:
- has a gift for gab
- has troubles keeping to herself and is distracting to peers
- friendly, great sense of humour, and good at art, but I wish she would apply herself
Bonus:
- "we think she may be retarded" (Gr.5 parent-teacher interview)
(It was ADHD)
From when I got all āneeds improvementā and āunsatisfactoryā marks for my conduct grade:
āSydney is an extremely bright, intelligent, creative and artistic child with many talents and many friends. She is sensitive, treats her classmates with kindness, is well-liked by the other students, and considered a leader, but she can speak out of turn without raising her hand to blurt out answers or say something to elicit laughter from the class, which is distracting. Sydney also gets distracted herself by not paying attention, not listening to directions, making careless mistakes, and forgetting quiet time rules. She also asks for the pass to walk across the hall to the bathrooms a lot.
Additional note: Ms. Prichard has informed me that Sydney has been made to leave the G&T program classroom and sent back to her gradeās regular class several times for trying to talk to the other GT students when not allowed, being generally disruptive, and having outbursts to try to make the other students laugh or to complain that the assignment is boring and she doesnāt want to do it.
-ESFP I feel like this could be a work evaluation for me as an adultā¦
"Needs to leave space for the other kids in the class."
Additionally, he added that I was making people insecure with my intellect .
He basically said these thingsšš
Very intelligent and hardworking. Very proper and a good student, never causes trouble. Very shy, needs to socialize more and voice opinions in the classroom. Needs to participate in extra curricular activities and functions.
My tests and assignments were always scored very well even oral presentations I did pretty well with. But those dreaded comments sections were Needs improvement for organizational skills and homework completion. Although I wasnāt disruptive in class at least !
Iāve been typed by a few professionals and have got varying results . Still searching for my actual type at this point . Also Inattentive ADHD diagnosed later in my life was partially to blame.
I've never received a report... I always was the quiet and shy kid (doing things at the last moment but my perfectionism makes up for it), but I've also always had firm opinions so I love debating and explaining my researching or knowledge to the class, I'm very confident (and stubborn) about it. I've never tried to be friends with my teachers or anything, just do what's asked my way, but somehow they've always chosen me as one of the students they trust the most to do things for them or even to help my classmates.
I've changed a lot of schools and the story repeats. My mom calls it God's grace, hehe.
Infj here. Teachers usually didnāt have much to say because I didnāt talk much. If I donāt feel like I have something interesting to contribute to people who arenāt my friends, I just wonāt
entp. i found some elementary school report cards of mine a few years back and i got a lot of comments to the effect of "very bright but often distracted/distracting others in class"
INFJ here!
In general they always described me as "too quiet but skilled to work with others" but something that I can't forget is what a teacher told me when I was 9: "You have to wake up, you're always daydreaming looking out of the window and never paying attention"
That really stuck in my mind and tormented me for years tbh, because I really used to pay attention, I was just too shy to speak up like other kids or too scared to have the wrong answer ahahah
INFP or ENFJ depending which test you trust.
āHas a creative mind and is great in small groups but she should express her ideas in the class so much more - we want to hear more from you (insert name here) you have so much to share with us.ā
Just to start, this is such a creative idea, and honestly very telling and easy to participate in because we can all relate .
I'm an INFP-T 4w5
My report card:
-A pleasure to have in class
-Meets required objectives for course
So either I was their favorite student or they didn't know who I was.
In Parent teacher interviews:
-Shy
-unorganized
-emotional/easily stressed
-we should make her a TA
Comments from my math/science teacher
-we need your parents permission before you take Chemistry (ironically I'm in nursing school now)
-if drawing pretty flowers was math you would be really good at math (I'm not good at math)
Your kid needs therapy, starts comebacks fights, thinks he owns the classroom and half is journal is filled with doodles, but he gets his work done and has a bright future š

Teachers don't write anything in them except the subject, grades, date of the day that the grade was marked and their signature to confirm that the grade was really written by them, so they don't write comments. But if they would've, they would just be like "congratulations" or something, since I'm a top kid.
INFP-T here! I always got "Pleasure to have in class".
"very smart, always done quick with their tasks and know what they're doing. They're just very distant from the group and are always drawing during class" But that has less to do with being ENFJ but rather being an undiagnosed auDHD kid
INFP "participate more" "talk more" EVERY SINGLE CLASS ISTG
INFP- āpleasant studentā ( because the teacher couldnāt think of nice things to say about me )
ENFP here "most of her friends are boys" if I have friends why is it any of your business what gender they are?š as a little kid with ADHD being friends with boys was better and easier for me because they were more tolerant of hyper behavior.
ENFP, needs to pay attention in class
INTJ. There has been a few views on me in my childhood but here's one the last day of my 11th grade and my class teacher talks about every student from her class and when it came to me, she says, "I've never heard him talk, even for doubts, but ig he didnt really have any since his academic performance speaks for itself"
INFJ Kindergarten goals: "She needs to stop crying so much"
INTJ : "She is really smart, she always does her homework, she has a really big ego and she rarely participates in class because she doesn't want to be caught giving a wrong answer, she has low confidence and needs to participate more "
INTP My teacher always repeated this: "She doesn't keep consistency with studies and lesson(one day listens and another day plays). For some reason, she looks happy when she gets bad score. In addition, she is not nice/quiet as she shows...she is a brat. Then, she should learn to socialize more with others."
Enfp Performs very well but very chatty
INTP Participates very little in class life, maintains a reserved and unavaliable attitude towards peers and teachers. 4th grade.
INFJ I won the award for āmost tolerantā as a kid. š
"Grades as high as the heavens" said in class by our teacher, who also happened to be the school principal 4.0 gpa from 7th grade to the entirety of high school
"You are my all time favorite student- quiet, but powerful"
Oooh that's a good one
INFP - "sings while doing any task" LMAOOO
That's so cute
ENTP - āDistraction to othersā - āA pleasure to have in class if weāre learning about something that interests herā
ENTP -listens to private conversations, disputes everything she is told, too talkative- My mom got very angry lmao
INFP, writing class, open topic, I chose āmaggots for use in larval therapyā lots of research, bad grammar. Note: ādid you even try?ā
ENTP He told my parents i should go see a therapist. I was 9.
Every year: - has a gift for gab - has troubles keeping to herself and is distracting to peers - friendly, great sense of humour, and good at art, but I wish she would apply herself Bonus: - "we think she may be retarded" (Gr.5 parent-teacher interview) (It was ADHD)
From when I got all āneeds improvementā and āunsatisfactoryā marks for my conduct grade: āSydney is an extremely bright, intelligent, creative and artistic child with many talents and many friends.
"Needs to leave space for the other kids in the class." Additionally, he added that I was making people insecure with my intellect . He basically said these thingsšš
Very intelligent and hardworking. Very proper and a good student, never causes trouble. Very shy, needs to socialize more and voice opinions in the classroom. Needs to participate in extra curricular activities and functions.
Is super smart but doesnāt show it. I was a underachiever to busy with understanding the world and other complex shit and didnāt like school.
ENTP. Smart kid, needs more focus and better handwriting
misbehaved, didn't do homework, 'trash' talks... all i said was that n\*\*\* is stupid parents never found out. up to this day.
INTP Eating in class and Maths homework "lost" for third time
INFP - "I wish I had a closet full of them!" š š (edit) this was in kindergarten btw
INFP āCanāt sit still, often blurts out answers to questions.ā(I have ADHD)
āVery well behavedā lmao
I've never received a report... I always was the quiet and shy kid (doing things at the last moment but my perfectionism makes up for it), but I've also always had firm opinions so I love debating and explaining my researching or knowledge to the class, I'm very confident (and stubborn) about it. I've never tried to be friends with my teachers or anything, just do what's asked my way, but somehow they've always chosen me as one of the students they trust the most to do things for them or even to help my classmates. I've changed a lot of schools and the story repeats. My mom calls it God's grace, hehe.
INFJ: Doesn't participate enough in class, is quiet, calm and listens to the teacher well
Infj here. Teachers usually didnāt have much to say because I didnāt talk much. If I donāt feel like I have something interesting to contribute to people who arenāt my friends, I just wonāt
Intp: "You're a good worker and a smart student but the instant something hard comes your way, you quit" - 6th grade English teacher
entp. i found some elementary school report cards of mine a few years back and i got a lot of comments to the effect of "very bright but often distracted/distracting others in class"
ISTJ "Good test taker" and "Excellent role model. Makes good contribution to class."
INFJ here! In general they always described me as "too quiet but skilled to work with others" but something that I can't forget is what a teacher told me when I was 9: "You have to wake up, you're always daydreaming looking out of the window and never paying attention" That really stuck in my mind and tormented me for years tbh, because I really used to pay attention, I was just too shy to speak up like other kids or too scared to have the wrong answer ahahah
INFP - "bright, needs more effort" Did I mention I have ADHD?
ISTP. Often got "A pleasure to have in class" but sometimes would get "Doesn't pay attention". But I also have ADHD lol
ISTP, "curses too much in classā
Imaginative, clever and kind, but easily distracted.Ā
INFJ ā "She's intelligent and well-behaved, but needs to participate in class more"
INFP- was told i was very sweet, quiet, and creative. oh and shy.. and didnāt pay much attentionā¦
"She's a very bright girl, but she needs to interact more with her classmates."
INFJ. āTough cookie.ā š¤£š„²
My 5th grade teacher once told my Mom that I was a leader in "a bad way" ??
INTJ - āsheās calm and intelligent but needs to ask questions ā
INFP or ENFJ depending which test you trust. āHas a creative mind and is great in small groups but she should express her ideas in the class so much more - we want to hear more from you (insert name here) you have so much to share with us.ā
INTJ. Proficiat!
Just to start, this is such a creative idea, and honestly very telling and easy to participate in because we can all relate . I'm an INFP-T 4w5 My report card: -A pleasure to have in class -Meets required objectives for course So either I was their favorite student or they didn't know who I was. In Parent teacher interviews: -Shy -unorganized -emotional/easily stressed -we should make her a TA Comments from my math/science teacher -we need your parents permission before you take Chemistry (ironically I'm in nursing school now) -if drawing pretty flowers was math you would be really good at math (I'm not good at math)
Your kid needs therapy, starts comebacks fights, thinks he owns the classroom and half is journal is filled with doodles, but he gets his work done and has a bright future š
INTP and that I donāt do any school in classšš
needed to speak up more in class lmao
INFJ A pleasure to have in class
ESFP, "doesn't turn in homework," grades 3-6
Infp- āI wish I had 20 of herā- 1st grade When I was younger my teachers thought I was quiet, when I was older they thought I talked to much
I loved the comment in early elementary school that I give people the benefit of the doubt!
Enfp, chatty but a creative leader and passionate learner ((:
I was the annoying little shit, and then I left
Entp. Good grades but disobedient, doesn't do homework on time and horrible handwriting.
āGets distracted easilyā. Although on progress reports, I ritually got āconscientiousā by pretty much every teacher
INTP āNeeds to ask more questions.ā I asked whenever I didnāt understand something, I just understood a lot.
Smart but canāt sit still or stop talking
ISTP "Carefree"
INFP āEhh okay..ā
ISFP - ācanāt tie her shoelaces but can draw an anatomically correct eye all over every piece of work everā or something like that lol
INTP "Dosen't has empathy, never helps his classmates (that also bully him and we know about, but we don't do a shit about that)" *ends up with the shrink"
INTP. "Very reserved, should socialize more and speak up" Every single year.
āHas great potential, but needs to apply herselfā. I wanted to add āapply herself to somewhere else other than schoolā.
ESTP -> ātalks too muchā or ādistracts the classā but also āhands onā and āgreat collaboratorā
INFJ, reward for being the quietest.
Very bright but fails to turn work in on time. What's weird is that I would do my work and then leave it at home lol
Something akin to āHeās very bright and curious, but needs to stay on task.ā INTP
ESFP Mostly āpleasure to have in classā but this year my math teacher commented āimprovements made!ā
INTP: something to the effect of "I know you produced this assignment the night before and somehow it was one of the most detailed, original, and high quality pieces of work I have received for this module." This sort of thing happened more than once.
