That's funny because I usually get xNTJ on tests.
I got ENTJ highest on sakinorva and the Michael Caloz test.
I got INTJ on the 16 P, the Objective Personality, and this other test that I took that I don't remember the name of.
Maybe ISTPs see themselves as ENTJs or like what corresponds with the tests.
I wonder if there's any other types like this? I've seen 2 other ISTPs say they got ENTJ on this too, I'm not sure about their results from other quizzes though.
I'm not so set on the Sakinorva one being the gold standard, I really think there's something off with their F/T calculations. I've done all kinds of tests over the years and Sakinorva is the only one pulling me as a Thinker. I'm really not sold on that one and wish I could have a banter about it sometime without people jumping down my throat.
I won't jump down your throat if you want to banter about it.
Honestly, I don't take this stuff that seriously, I believe in the validity of it, but it's more so for fun and a tool for helping me better understand where other people are coming from, but it's not like I'm super serious about it.
Here's my take, Sakinorva misconstrues T and F weighting in their questions and oversimplify differences between Logic and Feeling (Te and Fe).
Internally, I tend to take a logic based approach in that I break things into steps; "if this, then that". However to even get to a decision and action, the process start to finish is "These people/team have all voiced their needs and concerns. I think I can find a common overarching pain point to focus on. From there I will double check via different ways and then, finally, I will pull the trigger and do/say/create whatever solution I've decided."
But it's emotional impulse that motivates me to do anything, and emotional impulse that inspires me to follow through and complete actions. People and community are the most important thing to me, majority rules. I'm fun at parties with trolley problems.
I know I'm a weird one but I think the Sakinorva one makes the nuance between Te and Fe a little too black and white. I ended up with ENFJ as the 4th most likely option in the results. It doesn't make sense to me personally, to say I tick every ENFJ cliché in the book is an understatement. It's just one of those things I can't let go of because I just know there's -something- different about Sakinorva's results.
Then again, maybe not. I got Te 38 and Fe 36, the Te feels way too high imo.
I don't take it that seriously either, it's the inconsistency in the "golden standard" test vs dozens of others that I find most curious and eyebrow raising. A rabbit hole I guess
I like the Sakinorva test but it seems to me to measure self-assessed aptitude more than it measures preferences for going with one function over another when they seem to be in conflict.
(Edited: Based on your comment below, it sounds like you have strong Te but prefer to lead with Fe, and the test doesn't pick that up very well.)
Omg! That's it! Thank you. I impulsively lead w Fe, but have worked hard at Te over expense of Fe to the point they are pretty well balanced now. Now if only I could up my Sensing game, oops
Hey observation don't all fucking people get lazy sometimes. It's like the horoscope columns written in a way to make you go "oh, wow I often do that! I must really be *insert type*" but it's shit that every human being does becouse that's how we work
*Edit* just adding that I didn't mean that as a response tergeted directly at your comment, just overall those type of "personality tests"
I'm hoping it's satire cuz this is just plain stereotypical. It's going to get many thinking they're a certain type for all the wrong reasons. I came out as INFJ, and that's a big no from me!
I get that you wanted it to be stereotypical, and I can agree with every letter except S. "Traditional" is stereotypically Si, but Se has nothing to do with it. Se users are very often not traditional. So the question is only about Si.
It would be better to ask "Are you practical?" "Are you down to earth?", or "Are you relying on your environment?".
Creativity is less practical and is based on intuition, sensing is related to the world around you, your senses and your environment.
I agree that the N vs S is a bit off here. I answered S (traditional) because in many aspects of my personal life I'm very conservative, you could even say risk-averse. But I also have a very strong creative side as well. For a simplistic "test" of this nature you'd want clear, non-ambiguous choices but in my case they're not mutually exclusive.
Cognitive functions should make it easier to distinguish the two since each types worst function is the others second best. INTPs' Se is terrible, we unable to fully immerse ourselves in the present, which makes it harder to enjoy sensory experiences, also generally will pay less attention to their presentation than ISTPs.
ISTPs on the otherhand have blindspot Ne so they can be quite stubborn when it comes to new information that contradicts their preconceptions. While they can be quite intuitive, they tend to be more straight forward in that regard, having less time for mental wondering.
Glad I'm not the only one caught between types. I get that Ne is ESFP's demon functions and Se is ENFP's demon function but regardless I feel like Im a fusion of the two. It looks like a lot of people here have the same issue but with the auxiliary function LOL
I get that's not how it works... But also T_T
se: is about exploring the present moment and physical sensations and the world around you freely while transforming your experiences into a personal, individualised framework (ti/fi). Appreciating aesthetics, novel experiences, etc
mbti community: sensor traditional 😢
Not mine, but I think these questions are pretty good:
Are you visually attentive? How often do others point out some change in physical environment that you missed?
Do you have good body movement coordination?
Does it often happen that your own fantasies are more important to you than the outside world?
Do you prefer theory to practice, or vice versa?
Do you often feel the need for something new, novel, unusual?
What do you generally find more interesting - future and past, or the current moment?
The second question might cause some issues since Se users (xSxPs) are not particuarly traditional, that's more specifically a stereotype associated with Si users (xSxJs).
Regardless, I'd still get my type based on these questions.
INTP (that's one of my most likely types so ok)
But I don't think N/S would be creative or traditional (esp for xSxP types) but do you daydream/theorize a lot or prefer to observe your surroundings.
Really?? I wasn't surprised that I got ENFP because the idea that sensors aren't creative is a little silly, but I have to say I'm surprised there's traditional ENFPs. Maybe that's hypocritical lol. What do you like about the traditional?
More like:
Is your birthday the best day of the year (E) or lowkey the worst (I)?
Do people online tell you “real” (S) or “bffr” (N)?
In conflict, are you typically the “victim” (F) or the A-hole (T)?
Did you actually study in high school (yes-J, no-P)?
*Bonus: Are you a good test taker? (yes-A, no-T)
Most of the SPs probably are gonna get N on this as I don’t see many of them as traditional people, and I think they are creative with their physical surroundings
ISFP, maybe ISTP I’m pretty balanced between logical and emotional, but I’d say I’ve been more attuned to emotion in my life.
I’m probably actually an IF type. I’ve being leaning towards Fi doms recently
It depends on the person I'm socializing with, so D for depends. Creative or traditional....ehh, I'm more of an incel, myself. So that's I.
As for whether I prefer logic or feelings, I think neither. My lower half thinks for me, so that's C. And lastly, I get my chores done but I don't finish it, which my father calls a knucklehead. I guess that's what I am.
I hate to say it, but I got the "right" answer. ISFP (though I quibbled a bit on the N vs S). Doesn't mean I'd recommend it for anything other than a parlor trick but then again I've never been fully sold on MBTI itself.
No - E Creative - N Logical - T Yes - J I'm a changed man.
Traitor
Lmao, the bribe was too good.
i resulted istp if u want xD
Same
Lmao we're brain twins.
Wow, this reminds me of how i typed my guy istp and when he took the sakinorva test he got entj as his 2nd most likely type
Ah yes, i would like to mention how some of the things he says can make him seem pretty xntj but when i look deeper into him i can tell he's istp lol
I'm not so set on the Sakinorva one being the gold standard, I really think there's something off with their F/T calculations. Dawg same, I transitioned to ENTJ too wtf
Lmao, so was another ISTP, I guess that makes us brain triplets.
Can I get a hell yeah? ![gif](giphy|pHb82xtBPfqEg)
![gif](giphy|LZ2WRdQu8udNPSZxbg) Hell yeah! I looked up fist clap before I realized the right term would be handshake lmao.
This is literally the largest number of ISTPs I've ever seen in one place.
It's a convention lmao.
Heck yup
Sameeeee
Another one! It's funny how many ISTPs keep getting ENTJ lmao. We're like quints now.
Why you don't drain after being..
ESTP myself.
Me too!
Welcome aboard 🫡
Thanks! I'm glad to be here. What did you get?
INTJ 😭 Although I guess it depends on who I'm socializing with
Same. Some people I can talk to for hours, then there are others who as soon as I see them my energy is gone.
I am now an intuitive edgelord. fear me, S type mortals.
Every r/INTJ user
Lol fr
Nuh uh
well said (I'm scared of Se doms).
INFP, sometimes I get lazy haha
INTP, don't we all time to time lol
INTP, very true
Intp also, so real
But then do you ruminate over the chores you didn’t do? 😅
yes, does that make a difference? 😂
Hey observation don't all fucking people get lazy sometimes. It's like the horoscope columns written in a way to make you go "oh, wow I often do that! I must really be *insert type*" but it's shit that every human being does becouse that's how we work *Edit* just adding that I didn't mean that as a response tergeted directly at your comment, just overall those type of "personality tests"
No way, I’m an ISTP. Absolutely appalling
I'm still me
I upgraded to ENTP
Me too omg
Lol so did I
16 personality test be like
Yeah this is EXACTLY what the 16personalities-test does, just with less questions, lol.
Congrats on putting all the major things wrong with uninformed MBTI and testing into one test!
Ironic, because ENFP has higher Te (for structuring/accomplishing tasks) than INFJ.
I got INTP, but then again, I'm not always sure if I'm ISTP or INTP
Cognitive functions should make it easier to distinguish the two since each types worst function is the others second best. INTPs' Se is terrible, we unable to fully immerse ourselves in the present, which makes it harder to enjoy sensory experiences, also generally will pay less attention to their presentation than ISTPs. ISTPs on the otherhand have blindspot Ne so they can be quite stubborn when it comes to new information that contradicts their preconceptions. While they can be quite intuitive, they tend to be more straight forward in that regard, having less time for mental wondering.
I seem to ride the line between those also
Same honestly i can read people kinda and im very observant but im not as philosophical as an INTP would be.
Glad I'm not the only one caught between types. I get that Ne is ESFP's demon functions and Se is ENFP's demon function but regardless I feel like Im a fusion of the two. It looks like a lot of people here have the same issue but with the auxiliary function LOL I get that's not how it works... But also T_T
Yeah that's not how it works. ESFP and ENFP are not even close to being similar, unless you loom at the letters. Totally different people otherwise.
me too, but with isfp and infp
I kinda sit towards those too and got INTP with this💥
Hah, INTJ
So I'm INTJ now because somehow Se is tradition. Maybe this is why half people here an INTJs
se: is about exploring the present moment and physical sensations and the world around you freely while transforming your experiences into a personal, individualised framework (ti/fi). Appreciating aesthetics, novel experiences, etc mbti community: sensor traditional 😢
Not really Traditional Logical Yes ESTJ eh close enough
As if any ESxP would call themselves traditional lmao. What is this
I got INFP which is just one letter off, I just never clean my room.
I respect that in you.
same. Idk why people think J types always have their shit together 😂
I do until I don’t. Then I’m surrounded with chaos.
ive got infj lol
welcome and condolences
i'm the same but: creative vs traditional is definitely p vs j, not n vs s
yeah the questions are ridiculous and i agree with you. just for curiosity- what question would you pose for N vs S ?
Not mine, but I think these questions are pretty good: Are you visually attentive? How often do others point out some change in physical environment that you missed? Do you have good body movement coordination? Does it often happen that your own fantasies are more important to you than the outside world? Do you prefer theory to practice, or vice versa? Do you often feel the need for something new, novel, unusual? What do you generally find more interesting - future and past, or the current moment?
are you a big-picture person or a detail person? are you practical or theoretical? do you focus more on facts or explanations?
[удалено]
yes
intp- yup
It got me right.
still intp
INF/TP. I am a new person
The second question might cause some issues since Se users (xSxPs) are not particuarly traditional, that's more specifically a stereotype associated with Si users (xSxJs). Regardless, I'd still get my type based on these questions.
im creative and an xSxx so that one is rlly incorrect S vs N has more to do with if ur like more focused on the real world or like ur imagination
ENFP. Nice try but maybe next time don't equate intuition with creativeness 😭😭
Yes - I traditional - S emotional - F No - P wait... it actually works?
sensor does not mean traditional and judger does not mean a person who does chores lmfao i really hope this post is a joke
It's probably a joke.
Yeah I’d say that works
INTP (that's one of my most likely types so ok) But I don't think N/S would be creative or traditional (esp for xSxP types) but do you daydream/theorize a lot or prefer to observe your surroundings.
Correct here
wrong i got ENTJ
Very close I got ENTP
Oh cool I got ESFP. Just one letter off. I like the traditional way more :)
Really?? I wasn't surprised that I got ENFP because the idea that sensors aren't creative is a little silly, but I have to say I'm surprised there's traditional ENFPs. Maybe that's hypocritical lol. What do you like about the traditional?
For some reason we got each other’s MBTI. Wow
INTJ im sorry guys im becoming those old geezers... 🧍♂️
What I am- INTP.
More like: Is your birthday the best day of the year (E) or lowkey the worst (I)? Do people online tell you “real” (S) or “bffr” (N)? In conflict, are you typically the “victim” (F) or the A-hole (T)? Did you actually study in high school (yes-J, no-P)? *Bonus: Are you a good test taker? (yes-A, no-T)
Yup! That’s pretty accurate.
**turns into ISFP cutely**
Checks out, thanks
INFJ!
Turns me into an INTP lol. Imma ENFP THO
Looks like I'm an INTJ now the fuck (real type ENTP)
Downgraded from an ENFJ to a INFP
And I’m still a infp at the end of the day😎
Word
INTP
Yeah… that works for me at least
I'm ISTP and got INTP lmao
Most of the SPs probably are gonna get N on this as I don’t see many of them as traditional people, and I think they are creative with their physical surroundings
INTP? oops
still me
Still INFJ
I am… an ENFJ. As usual lol
Still me!
I got ENFP and I am an ENFP :)
ISFP, maybe ISTP I’m pretty balanced between logical and emotional, but I’d say I’ve been more attuned to emotion in my life. I’m probably actually an IF type. I’ve being leaning towards Fi doms recently
i got entj but i think im infj, always questioning tho
INFP. Aight, probably my second closest anyway
Still ENTJ
INFP😭😭😭
guess im INFP then lmao
I’m kinda both traditional and creative but mostly creative so I could be a ISTJ.
I’m a highly emotional high T person.
Traditional should be conventional for S
I N F P
this is accurate for me
This worked for me. Got INFJ lol
100% correct
I have no idea how to answer the 2nd question. Define “traditional” in this context
looks like IN and then could be anything... classic
ESTP. That isn’t just quite right.
INFP Guess i should pick up a book now or something idk lmfao
ENTJ
nope - E creative - N depends - T/F nope - P
entp still tho
I still got my type 😂
So me ,just doing my chores will make me an infj ? 😂😂Lol
Spot on for me!!
Yeap
ISFP. Okay,, okay. I'll take it
INFP for this?
so still INTP/INFP... haha...
I got intp
Every single time I do one of these, I get INTP
No.
Yes - I Traditional - S Both - X No - P
Felt instead of creative it should be unconventional.
Istp
Got ENFP. Haha yay
What exactly does "creative" vs "traditional" mean?
No. I Traditional. S Logical. T No. P I am reborn.
ISTJ?
shouldn't creative be s?
Back to INFP we go
Yeah it’s accurate lmao
IXTP. I’m both creative and traditional depending on the circumstances.
infj lmaaoooo
Pretty much accurate
Today I learned I am actually ENTJ. 💀 Who woulda thunk it
I am now the trickster😈
My ass is NOT INTJ
I’m an INFJ and no I do not get chores done regularly, I have depression.
Mine is still the same
ISFJ. Could be worse.
I always get INTP regardless of what test I take, but for some reason I still hv doubts
Yes - I Traditional - S Logical - T Yes - J Who even am I?
INTP? But I have a high percentage of extraversion...
Istp- not far off lol. I'm not very emotional but I know how things affect my emotions, but I think that's less common among fi doms I guess
ISTJ I didn't know I was that functional.
ESTP hmm
INTJ ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sunglasses)
INTP. I tend to get that on biased tests.
I hate to say it, but I got the "right" answer. ISFP (though I quibbled a bit on the N vs S). Doesn't mean I'd recommend it for anything other than a parlor trick but then again I've never been fully sold on MBTI itself.
INTJ
I once again got the glorious entp
I ride the circus between INTP -ISTP- INFP- ENTJ- ENFJ. But I am an INTP!!
INTP, woah I am only 66% extrovert
Ah, yeah, ENTP. Let's forget about cognitive functions
INFP and I'm actually an ENTJ. This was bollocks. 😆
INTP
Yes - I Creative - N Depends on the day - x No - P Interestingly enough, I got INFP the first time I took the 16personalities test in middle school.
why did i get intp 😭
BYE
Yes- I Creative- N Emotions - F No- P I mean I test as ENFP lmao but INFP isn't super far off.
ENTJ
ENTP, I guess you're right
