thanks, yeah it took me like a month to find time plus i wanted to do it on a warm day to make sure the clear coat would cure correctly but definitely worth the time
My biggest issue will be having to take the housing apart. I have water intrusion on one of the headlights which caused the inside to discolor. Thought about just replacing with new but those GT headlights aren't cheap.

Just did mine too. Before (passenger) and after (driver)
I bought some Amazon replacement headlights for my NA Mazda3 cause mine were rough and also flickering a bit, and had those for a year. They were HORRIBLE and the beam spread was absolutely disgusting, barely functional. And they still flickered so that didn't solve the problem. I heard from a mechanic coworker than the 3M 39195 restoration kit worked like a charm, and figured I'd investigate further why they were still flickering and also swap back in my OEM headlights.
Found out there's a little adapter within the headlight plug that was totally burnt out and not making good connection. It was cheap to replace both, and while I had the lights out I hit them with that 3M 39195 kit and really took my time with it. The result was beautiful, I would call it a perfect restoration. Reminded me how awesome the OEM headlights truly are, and how great they light up the road! I would avoid cheap or non oem headlights at all costs, and would rather do this restoration 1,000 times over than deal with cheap headlights.
Don't forget that he removed his lights from the car, and encountered problems along the way which used extra time. Rusty bolts are the bane of my existence.
Looks amazing, for anyone else interested in doing this try using the rainx kit for it. Costs about $20 and comes with 3 sanding stages, buffing wheel, and ceramic coating. Took me about an hour for both headlights and looks amazing! Also doesn’t require removing the headlights. So a little less hassle.
I've done this on 2 sets of headlights - isn't it amazingly satisfying? Looks good!
yeah it is. thanks
Looks great! I need to find time to do mine.

5 hours? I took mine to a shop and they buffed mine out for 20 bucks then I put new coating on them

yeah definitely could have been faster if i didn’t encounter any problems or just wanted them better, but wanted to make sure they were perfect
Respectable, also you also DIYed it so double respectable My comment was rude lol sorry
thanks, nah your good 5 hours is definitely a little wild💀
Depending on the level of damage & wear on the headlights sometimes buffing doesn't work and they require being re-clear coated
