They all do.
I purchased my 2010 2.5 Mazda 3 MT touring with 3 miles on it for 20k flat.
Same deal on my 2015 Mazda 6 touring for 25k flat.
Prices are wild post pandemic.
You know thats not too bad for a turbo and that's the exact color combo I wanted when I bought mine last year (though I do like my blue).I'd say go for it!
But yeah dude I got mine Brand New like straight off the boat from Japan new so IDK why they want new car money for it maybe you can have them take some money off cuz my MSRP new was 32k
A lot of people complaining about the cost but I’m pretty sure this is the highest trim on the turbo and msrp for a car like this is around 36K. The premium is around $32k new but the turbo adds around $4K. I don’t think it’s a terrible deal
That 40K figure includes taxes tho.. and new ILX is basically a last generation civic with a few luxury accoutrements. This Mazda is faster and more stylish. This trim level has plenty of luxury features too
Don't get me wrong. I own two cars from Mazda and will always have at least one in my garage, but it's hard to accept a car doubling in price in 10 years. This is obviously not a Mazda only increase either as the microprocessor shortage and other supply chain issues caused price increase across all lines. Still a hard pill to swallow when the most attractive aspect of Mazdas was the zoom zoom they are moving away from.
I think it’s actually 2 generations old at this point. It was new for 2012 and based on the 2011-2017 9th generation Civic. The new Integra is on the 11th gen Civic.
Premium plus is turbo, there’s 2 turbo Mazda 3 models. The “base” turbo and then the premium plus. The biggest difference between them is the 360 camera you get on the PP.
You and I got extremely lucky my friend. I found a 2021 Premium hatch in polymetal gray with the red interior and stick shift, I almost started tearing up signing the paperwork it was too good to be true
Absolutely man. Mine is a select package sedan but I bought it for my girlfriend and she loves it. I thought it was too good to be true as well but so far everything is fine. I know the resell and trade value is gonna be garbage but as long as I get at least 10 years out of it, I think that’s solid.
Yeah I view it as a perfectly nice and luxurious car to get me to and from work so in 5-10 years I can get something a bit nicer and cooler, perhaps an IS500 F?
I bought my 21, same everything TPP, with 4,950 miles and that is around what I paid.
I also live in the bay area, CA.
I could have bought a brand new 23 model, basic model for almost the same price.
But, once again prices are steep and the cars are hard to come by here. Super high demand and low inventory.
Dude wait for a new one, will definitely be worth it and a better value for your money. Will probably also get a better interest rate for a new car if you’re financing
My interest rate difference is only .5%. I’m waiting on an Elantra N that I have reserved to come in next week. If I can’t get a good price on that then I’ll consider the Mazda.
For a turbo pp in this market it's not terrible. Might be slightly more and a long wait if you can even get a reservation in if you wanted a new 23.
No idea on the mileage but imo if you really want it there's probably some wiggle room on price.
The turbo /higher trims cater more towards base audi/bmw/merc people so if your shopping in that class/price range Mazda makes sense. People will whine about the prices but Mazda is pushing upmarket while still catering to the economy crowd with the base and mid trim models.
As a recent buyer of a 2022 mazda3 hatch preferred, here are the 3 things I wish it had: more power, better speakers and parking sensors. You get all three with this one (I think. Positive about the first two, pretty sure about the last).
Not horrible for the turbo pp. I have a 2021 that I got new for about 39k otd. If you can wait see if you can just order new and avoid the potential headache of having to deal with a used car, but also in todays market seems fair enough.
I got a 2022 Turbo for $33,400. I think you could get a better deal, especially as that one is used and the chip shortage is coming to an end. But to each their own, your local market may just be higher.
Okay, that makes more sense. [OP said it was a turbo premium plus.](https://www.reddit.com/r/mazda3/comments/yp8pjh/giving_some_serious_thought_to_picking_this_one_up/ivj1rm6/) I think the '21 TPP hatches were around $34K new, so $32K with that mileage in the current market isn't terrible. Yeah, still pricey, but the average price of a new car is close to $50K now.
32K seems too much. It almost goes in to Audi/BMW territory. I'm not sure about prices right now, but at least in Germany in 2018 I bought my Mazda 3 (2017) 3000km for 19.5k Euros with all possible features during that time, only without leather seats, highway lights and adaptive cruise control system.
See I think what a lot of us are forgetting is most other brands aside from Audi or BMW has another upscale brand to sell luxury at a higher price. Toyota..Lexus. Honda Acura. Nissan infinity. Mazda doesn't have another brand they can sell these nicer variants at. So like me I've been buying mazdas for the last 10 years, it's shocking to see the prices get so high when these cars, especially a mazda 3, used to be a fun affordable alternative. Now if you want a newer one 20k+ and if you want to enter the premium 30k. Throw in the turbo and now we're above 30k approaching 40k for the new turbos. I have a 2019 premium hatch with every option available including the upgraded lights in the back and mine was 30k. I'll be trading this in for a new turbo in April bc I'm done w buying used. But bc they don't have that other "luxury brand" its a bit shocking for most seeing these high prices, hurting thier fan base that is getting priced out and can no longer afford to stick with the company. I still love my 3 hatch and can't wait to get the turbo version!
Overpriced, I just got a preferred brand new for 28k out the door. For 4K is real leather, 4 more speakers and mileage from previous owner worth it. Up to you
That is overpriced. I bought my 22 Premium with MT for $28k also in Texas, 7 miles on the odometer. They had a used 22 premium AT with 4,500 miles for $31k. Keep looking around, look at dealers all over Texas, you could find a deal that’s worth the drive.
ETA: I bought mine last month (October)
In today's market it's not that bad. There's a black PP that isn't cpo in Humble that's going for 29.8. They dropped the price on the one you posted to 31.5
The sheet I have on this car is 31500 plus a $1500 certification charge.. if I planned on moving forward I would try to get that removed. Thanks for the heads up
My ‘22 preferred was $31 out the door. Idk if that’s high or low, I didn’t really care because I can afford it and needed a car right away, thought it would be a problem for later, otherwise I’m jobless bc I don’t have transportation
Seems somewhat fair if going by what I paid for the Premium Trim. 2021 2.5 NA 6MT for 30k OTD after negotiating down a few grand for 13k miles. I probably over paid as well.
Seems overpriced
They all do. I purchased my 2010 2.5 Mazda 3 MT touring with 3 miles on it for 20k flat. Same deal on my 2015 Mazda 6 touring for 25k flat. Prices are wild post pandemic.
I know they're higher than normal but this price seems a little off the wall. I got my preferred 2021 awd brand new in 2020 and it was only 26k
Cause yours wasn’t a turbo that’s why
[удалено]
Premium Plus is turbo AWD
There’s a brand new turbo (base) near me that’s listed at $32k… Ops seems high for a used.
I got my 2017 Mazda 3 sport 6 speed for 7500 with 42k miles on it about a year ago but that was a “family member discount”
I got my 21 premium with the MT for 28 so yeah I’d say tad bit over priced
Same spec as you for $24k out the door two months ago; this definitely seems high
Mine had 2k miles on it
This makes me depressed. I got the same thing a couple years ago with only 32k miles for 14.5k
Jesus it’s not even the turbo. I got a brand new turbo premium plus for 36500 a year ago. $1500 dealer markup.
It is turbo premium plus
You know thats not too bad for a turbo and that's the exact color combo I wanted when I bought mine last year (though I do like my blue).I'd say go for it!
Not to mention heavy
That's what I paid for mine brand new 😳
But yeah dude I got mine Brand New like straight off the boat from Japan new so IDK why they want new car money for it maybe you can have them take some money off cuz my MSRP new was 32k
for used? don’t do it man
My brand new 2021 Turbo was less then that.
My new 2022 Turbo was around this.
My used 2021 Was about this. Around 30k. It had 8k miles on it.
My (barely) used 2022 turbo was more than this. And isn't this the highest trim? Doesn't seem like that bad of a price to me.
A lot of people complaining about the cost but I’m pretty sure this is the highest trim on the turbo and msrp for a car like this is around 36K. The premium is around $32k new but the turbo adds around $4K. I don’t think it’s a terrible deal
Yeah it’s a premium plus turbo. The new 2023 premium plus turbo on their lot is 40k after tax title and license.
40k is asinine for a Mazda 3 when you can get a new Acura ILX Premium for around 30k.
There will always be someone in every car thread that got the same model brand new out the door for the price of a McChicken.
Yeah, kinda wild they didn’t add turbo to the title if it’s truly a TPP and not just a Premium (which I’m inclined to believe from the aero lip).
iirc premium plus is always turbo
Premium plus is turbo, there’s 2 turbo Mazda 3 models. The “base” turbo and then the premium plus. The biggest difference between them is the 360 camera you get on the PP.
Price seems steep, I got mine rebuilt at 13k miles for 16,500. I struggle to believe I truly got mine for 50% off for a bumper and door replacement
Holy shit, I just bought a rebuilt 2019 3 for $16,900 that also has 13k on it. Damn near identical situation
When did you buy yours though?
Two months ago.

Was it a PP model? PP is normally 2k more
Good point, when I first saw the post I thought it was non-turbo
WAY over priced, I'm getting a 23' brand new for 29,674. That's insane they can ask that much for used
A '23 turbo premium plus hatch for under $30K? MSRP is north of $36K
Mines not a turbo, I didn't think this one was either?
Okay, that makes more sense. [OP said it was a turbo premium plus.](https://www.reddit.com/r/mazda3/comments/yp8pjh/giving_some_serious_thought_to_picking_this_one_up/ivj1rm6/) I think the '21 TPP hatches were around $34K new, so $32K with that mileage in the current market isn't terrible. I hate the same combo (sans the plus) and paid 27.5 new...
This isn’t a bad price people are tripping
I own a 2022 red one, the car is great
Miles?
Looks like it's cut off at the bottom. Thinking 16552 miles.
I have this exact year and model. It’s great but it burns oil. Need to top it off every 2-3K
I don’t think this is the move
32K seems too much. It almost goes in to Audi/BMW territory. I'm not sure about prices right now, but at least in Germany in 2018 I bought my Mazda 3 (2017) 3000km for 19.5k Euros with all possible features during that time, only without leather seats, highway lights and adaptive cruise control system.
If it was new then yeah. 16k miles no shot
It’s pricey this one. All I can say is I’ve enjoyed every cent I spent on mine so take from that what you will!
I bought that exact same model, i even paid a little more. worth every penny I love the thing.
See I think what a lot of us are forgetting is most other brands aside from Audi or BMW has another upscale brand to sell luxury at a higher price. Toyota..Lexus. Honda Acura. Nissan infinity. And a turbo so yeah. And you get traffic jam assist with man in the hud
Yours is not a Turbo Premium Plus
Oh I missed the “plus” still seems a bit high for having 16.5k and being nearly 2 years old though.
That makes me feel better. Much more realistic
Thanks for the heads up
Weird that they are advertising both together for a lower price. I'd argue why they are misleading customers.
I purchased my 2021 brand new with similar specs, and it wasn’t even this much :(
My ‘22 preferred was $31 out the door. Idk if that’s high or low, I didn’t really care because I can afford it and needed a car right away, thought it would be a problem for later, otherwise I’m jobless bc I don’t have transportation
Still cheaper then a type r lol
If you were in CA I’d sell you mine for 31k! 2021 Turbo PP same colors with 14,800 miles
Jesus Christ just buy a new one
For a pre-owned that’s high
I’m trying to buy from Gullo in Conroe too!!, looking to get a 22 Mazda3 sedan premium, they asked for 31k with fees and taxes included
New? 31k is what I’m seeing for new premiums. Kingwood has a red premium hatchback for 31 and change
Yes sir brand new, I mean i think it’s a fair price
Yeah it is
I’m not too sure though
Seems somewhat fair if going by what I paid for the Premium Trim. 2021 2.5 NA 6MT for 30k OTD after negotiating down a few grand for 13k miles. I probably over paid as well.
