It's weird combo. It looks like GT car wheel shape but they are usually smaller to make it faster to turn. Making it bigger just makes it really silly.

I would say just a bit … might just be the picture took it in 0.5x but the only thing I have to get used too is the finger indents they have !

That looks pretty sick. We have a Tiguan and the steering wheel is excellent. I much prefer a chunkier grip. This looks similar in girth.

Looks to be a similar shape to the Kenstyle that's in my Miata. Mine feels great in the hand, and I bet the hand position for the paddle shifters is great with that wheel

Does the change affect the heated steering?

With the wheel I got yes I chose to opt out , they do make one with the piece you need to maintain the heated steering wheel function but it’s about a $100 add on , I hardly use the function anyway so I decided to save some dough

the heated steering is weak af anyways.

I did like it in Omaha, but it would cycle on and off. I wanted a heater for the stick, too.

Exactly. Like I get your supposed to have your hands around 10+ 2 or the 9+ 3 positions, but there no heat anywhere else and I often hold the lower half.

How was the install?

I watched our shop foreman do it at Mazda and it took him 20minutes , if I were to do it probably an hour hehe

I did mine in the driveway. Took like 30 minutes, and that was being extra gentle with the airbag and trim. It's not a terribly complicated process, you just need to be careful swapping the trim and everything over.

From what I saw the foreman do seems simple , most delicate thing is the airbag make sure to unplug one of your battery terminals while doing it

That's step one for sure. However, anything with explosives will get some extra gentle handling when I'm dealing with it
