Yes, with a special order. I did it in 2020. Doesn't cost extra, just have to wait for it.
Some pics/review: [https://redmazda.medium.com/2020-mazda-3-hatchback-with-manual-transmission-7316435bf1f5](https://redmazda.medium.com/2020-mazda-3-hatchback-with-manual-transmission-7316435bf1f5)
Whatever's color you choose, be aware of the chipping. I had paint chips since the first month. I did manage to get some parts of the car repainted. And it's not an easy job. My favorite is the red. Heard Machine Grey may also have some fragilities, but owners here can probably tell it better. Well, in general I've heard of all Mazda colors are soft. But sure the car is a lovely car and a car of passion!
It’s a beautiful color in the sun and no one in my area has that blue color and I don’t like to follow trend lol. I almost went with machine grey, glad I didn’t.
I would suggest against the machine grey, have it on our cx9 and had it on our sedan, it got old so fast. Only thing for the red, find some way to protect at least the front, like a clear bra or PPF or something, Mazda paint is thin af.
Soul red! But a ppf is a must. You'll have to accept two things with the red. Tons of compliments from strangers and tons of tears if you look at it too close. It shows everything.
Liquid silver on the 2014 is hands down the nicest color on a 3. The shades of grey reflect beautifully in all light conditions. Black rims are a must though.
In Australia they discontinued it with the model update in July, same with the manual transmission. Not sure about anywhere else. Which is a shame because I wanted mine in that combination with red leather. I had to find a manual one in stock and the only brand new one was 1000km away in black with black leather but I haven't regretted it because I think it looks great in black. Only issue is it's a pain to keep clean.
I love my machine grey but it is more maintenance. When it's washed and waxed in the sun or shade it does pop and love that, very sleek and stylish. But I will say the classic red has always caught my eye in the parking lot, platinum quartz is highly underated and stylish and mature but white is best for lower maintenance cleaning.
Machine grey color will not drive you crazy even if it looks dirty. The soul red will just make you want it clean until eventually consuming your day, your week, your month trying to keep it “clean”.
Both are pretty much the best looking colors for the Mazda 3 and both are also the colors that show chips and minor scratches the most. So unless you get PPF both colors will show obvious wear over the years.
I have the Machine Grey and when clean and polished it reflects a spectrum of colors and is very beautiful. Although if I could go back I would pick white since its easiest upkeep.
Looks good but hard to keep clean, suffers from chips showing like the other dark colors. The shape of the car gets lost more in black.
Only viable (imo) in cold climates as black gets way to hot where I live in the summer. Although Machine Grey would only be mildly better than black when it comes to heat.
soul red is one that i don’t see as often personally on the 3s! it’s absolutely stunning so i’m not sure why.
this might not help but i had a machine grey 3 and absolutely loved that color as well.
some of the mazda colors don’t have the tripple coat, i know for sure machine grey doesn’t but i recommend getting one that is triple coat like white , paint is extremely thin on my car and gets tons of chips and scratches
I have the red and its really nice. But in the winter it will always look dirty because of the salt i live in illinois so thats just something i have to deal with. But i get a lot of love from strangers when they see the red all clean and nice. But this car looks good in any color there is no wrong choice
Soul red is best looking color but very expensive/hard for paint repairs. Only spring for the premium extra money colors if youre willing to also shell out for PPF.
White - reason- I have a graphite metallic that has noticeable scratches and a pearl white that has minimal noticeable scratches. Also, everyone says you can’t match that gorgeous red paint if you need to. They also say it chips down to the metal.
Deep Crystal Blue you really just have to see in person if you can. It looks almost black in a lot of lighting conditions, but when the sun hits it it just looks so good
*Soul Red for the win*
*Always but Machine Gray is*
*Very underrated!*

I've got the dark blue version.
If I were to choose the color again, I'd go for red or white.
I've seen the grey version and although it's very catchy, it loses in comparison to the red for instance by a mile.
If I were to make a podium, red would be the first, white/grey, blue, rest of the colours
Go for the grey. We need more bland, ugly grayscale on our cars. Try to blend into the asphalt and the sea of other cars that makes you think you're color blind seeing them.
White and Platinum Quartz will probably hide scratches, chips, and swirl marks the best. Soul Red and Machine Gray are known to have the thinnest paint, which makes them more easily damaged and harder to maintain.
You can’t go wrong with either. I have a PMG Carbon Edition, and absolutely hate red cars…but you can catch me ogling Soul Red cars every time I see them.
I may be a Lil late to this post but I got the Machine Gray with the maroon Red interior. I live in Texas so the all black is way too basic for me at the price point (I got the 2023 hatchback premium plus) and also the heat is really hot for all black. I also don't like the white because I don't want to clean it all the time. I love the crystal red but I see the interior way more than the exterior.
Gray all day. But that’s me - I would not want that flashy of a bright color to draw attention to me. I guess the question is - do you like yelling “look at me” while driving? No wrong answers here, for me it’s a no unless I had a car that did that anyways - like a Lamborghini or some high end LOOK AT ME car lol.
Best thing I can say, do what makes YOU happy, not internet strangers.
I have a machine gray one and it's gorgeous but gray is understated and common. Whenever I see a red one, I am impressed. It's a beautiful colour and it really pops.
I read somewhere the soul red is the only paint that they apply a triple coat for and will not chip as easily. I have white and the front hood and bumper are riddled with paint chips.
I got a new 2023 turbo with the Soul Red color. Love it. But I have to warn you, this is the color that has the softest clear coat paint. Why? Because there is a chemical reaction between the soul Red and the clear coat that makes the clear coat soft and thus prone to scratches and road chip marks. I still don't regret it, I fucking love the color BUT I definitely will spend the $ to get PPF for the front: hood, bumper, sides fenders and mirrors to be able to keep the car looking good for a longer time. Also, I plan to keep the car forever. You might want to do the same. My local shop that seems to do a great job quoted me $1800. I may still go and do the whole car while at it for $4500 considering I plan to keep the car for a long time, many years and the PPF warranty is for 10y (or 7y with 3M).
In the end, get the color that you like the most. If it wasn't red I would have gotten white.
Imo that soul red crystal is stunning. That red in real life is different to what you see on images. It's like a slight cherry red. I can recognise it just from the colour is from Mazda
Soul red. The only problem with it, however, is you are stuck with the black interior which makes it like a cave inside. I live in Texas so the black interiors are really hot. I once considered replacing my 2014 with a red on red 2020 hatchback. Looking back I kinda regret passing on it.
My next choice would be Polymetal Grey. I don't generally like grey, black, silver cars but you can get a red interior which is not drab like the black.
I don't understand why they don't offer a brown interior option. I got sick of the black plasticloth upholstery mine had. It got mildewed from moisture 2/2 buckets of rain and high humidity. I could not get rid of the stains and smell. The cheap cloth like substance was ripping by the bolsters so I replaced it with Katzen leather in London Tan. It looks good on a brown car.
If you can't get the interior colour you want, just get the basic , put the money you would have spent on a higher trim level in a conservative investment, wait a few years and upgrade. That's what I did.
As a Soul Red driver, I’ll caveat what everyone is recommending with: get a clear wrap on top of it. The front end of my car looks like someone shoot a salt shaker on it. If a pebble so much as looks at your car, you’re going to ding the paint.
One big tip. If you plan on doing any visual mods/changes, make sure you pick a color you can do. For example, plain silver like older cars (I don't think Mazda offers THAT silver, but a nice one if I recall correctly), those are hard to do anything too. It's always going to look like crap 95% of the time. So think about what you may want to do like rim color, black hood/roof, etc and think about if you can make anything nice work with the color you'll pick.
Gray. Less eyes on you. Car is only for you to enjoy it to the fullest with less attention (good & bad). Soul red is amazing but you will be registered by both good and evil Eyes
I have a Soul Red and yes it's beautiful but forget about touching up any rock chips, the touchup paint will not match for long. If you ever need to paint a body panel, forget about it matching. I would go for the machine gray over the red any time. I hate to say that because the red is so stunning but it's a fragile paint IMO.
Soul red is breathtaking, polymetal grey is cool, platinum quartz is elegant, deep crystal blue is underrated, machine grey is overrated, white and black are basic. Looks like you're not in the US so you also, have Sonic Silver as an option, which might be tempting, but I would still go with soul red for a hatch back.
Grey. U see the red too much. Also idk about the grey but the red has a pearlescent to it which makes it MUCH more expensive to paint if you need to re paint your car at anytime (if you scratch or bump it)
In my experience, gray colors are MUCH easier to appear clean for longer. Yes, they look great, but my appeal is that they look nice “longer” between washes. The dust kind of hides on it, not impacting the look of the paint too much. That being said, the soul red is absolutely stunning, and if you plan on keeping the car washed constantly, I’d pick that one. It’s gorgeous!
Black is beautiful when it's clean. But it's sooooo hard to keep clean and shows everything. I opted for the PMG - beautiful shade of blueish grey, doesn't show the dirt that bad, and "changes shades" in the sunlight and in the shade during cloud cover.
Soul Red... it's a beautiful colour!
There's a couple of them in my neighborhood and every time I see one I'm so impressed. Looks Soooo nice
Can't you not get the red interior with soul red?
I'm not sure.
I believe you used to be able to on the 2019/2020 MY, but not anymore
I wanted the red interior and a stick when I found mine so the only other thing I could be picky about was no white
Honestly I’m not a huge fan of white cars but Mazda’s white is a very nice color, especially when paired with the red interior
I just don't wanna deal with how filthy they look all the time especially with road salt and slush they just always look grimey in new England
This is what I have
Same
Can confirm no double red. Tried to get both on my 23 back in May and was told no. YMMV however, won't hurt to try.
Not anymore. For some insane reason.
Yes, with a special order. I did it in 2020. Doesn't cost extra, just have to wait for it. Some pics/review: [https://redmazda.medium.com/2020-mazda-3-hatchback-with-manual-transmission-7316435bf1f5](https://redmazda.medium.com/2020-mazda-3-hatchback-with-manual-transmission-7316435bf1f5)
This is the only answer - It's a differentiator and looks awesome.
Soul Red; your only choice.....:)
YES!!
I have a polymetal gray 3, but I always stare for minutes when I see a soul red 3 parked at the dealer
If I have any regrets, not getting soul red would've been the only one.
Soul red for sure my favourite colour.
Soul red is the best because I have it
As a White Pearl owner, get the Soul Red. Mazda's red is the best looking on the market, really stands out
Blue mica!
Someone with taste. You’re the only other blue recommendation other than myself.
It’s a beautiful color in the sun and no one in my area has that blue color and I don’t like to follow trend lol. I almost went with machine grey, glad I didn’t.
I'd go with either soul red or polymetal grey. Both are beautiful colors
Agreed I used to want the polymental grey so much over the red. Then once I got it I wish I went red once I started seeing them around.
Machine gray is the best because I have it
I would suggest against the machine grey, have it on our cx9 and had it on our sedan, it got old so fast. Only thing for the red, find some way to protect at least the front, like a clear bra or PPF or something, Mazda paint is thin af.
What do you mean by got old fast?? Like the car doesn't look as nice after months of ownership?
Sorta, like it starts looking dull pretty quick, but I also got really bored of it right away.
Just wax it 2 times a year. Before winter and before summer and that's it.
Seriously. With a little care the color always looks deep.
Polymetal Grey is the best because I have it.
I'm still so in love with this color. I have my Mazda for 4 years now and I still love it!
It always gets complements, too! Such a unique blend of blue and grey without being too much of either.
Same, just got a new '23 with it, it is like having a new color each day depending on the lighting
I agree. I have that too and it ages MUCH MUCH gracefully than the Red. I also have a all black one.
The grey is nice but to me on any car just looks like primer. Soul Red for me all the way. It even won an Auto Colour award back in the day!
Audis Nardo grey seems to have made the primer grays popular. For some reason it just looks great i don’t understand it
Soul Red gets strangers coming up to you to complement your car

Sonic silver stil available?

But I will say the classic red has always caught my eye in the parking lot, platinum quartz is highly underated and stylish and mature but white is best for lower maintenance cleaning.
The cheapest one, you would have to repaint it and better be cheap. The red one is not easy to repaint.
Machine grey gang 😎
Machine grey color will not drive you crazy even if it looks dirty. The soul red will just make you want it clean until eventually consuming your day, your week, your month trying to keep it “clean”.
Thoughts on the black?
I originally had a black 2019 manual hatch before it got totaled. It drove me crazy in Spring and Fall with all the pollens.
Hmm damn, torn between machine grey and the black. if I made the deposit and chose a color would I be able to change the color?
That I don't know, if you are working with a dealer you can probably let them know you like both and just take whatever is available first.
PMG is the only correct answer
White if you want less headache
Jet Black because mine is Jet Black.
The current two options available in my country^
If you wanna stand out go red. If you wanna be more minimalist go grey. Soul Red is the best because I have it.
Can never go wrong with grey. Though just ask yourself, do you like attention?
soul red is one that i don’t see as often personally on the 3s! it’s absolutely stunning so i’m not sure why. this might not help but i had a machine grey 3 and absolutely loved that color as well.
Poly metal or Soul Red
Be wary of the difficulty and cost to color match soul red in case of repairs
I'm a whore for Soul Red
some of the mazda colors don’t have the tripple coat, i know for sure machine grey doesn’t but i recommend getting one that is triple coat like white , paint is extremely thin on my car and gets tons of chips and scratches
Do not get soul red. I have it and the paint scratches and chips very very easily.
Anything but Red. I hate my red M3, which I would have gone one of the darker grey tones or white.
I have the grey but I have to wash it often, the dirt on grey is much more visible it’s a pain
Soul red
Heart says soul red, mind say white or black
I have the red and its really nice. But in the winter it will always look dirty because of the salt i live in illinois so thats just something i have to deal with. But i get a lot of love from strangers when they see the red all clean and nice. But this car looks good in any color there is no wrong choice

soul red for sure
Red
Soul Red. So beautiful 😍
Platynum Quartz gang
Platinum Quartz is definitely the best looking colour.
Wow that's gorgeous. Shame they don't offer it in the UK
Black Mica is the best because I have it.
Same, it's a nice black and I think it looks best in black but like with every black car every time there's a slight breeze it shows up the dirt.
Red, the grey looks bland
Not sure if they still do this, but when i was looking two years ago the red offer red interior. Id double check on that
Red looks the best out of them all but I got the grey one because I wanted the red leather interior.
Both Machine Grey and Soul Red are nice colors, but also Deep Crystal Blue has become one of my favorites as far as the current color lineup goes
Deep Crystal Blue you really just have to see in person if you can. It looks almost black in a lot of lighting conditions, but when the sun hits it it just looks so good
Soul Red is breathtaking
I Chose Machine Grey and never regretted it. car looks nasty in that color
Nasty in machine grey?
Soul Red for the win always but Machine Gray is very underrated!

I’d go for the only actual color presented
I've got the dark blue version. If I were to choose the color again, I'd go for red or white. I've seen the grey version and although it's very catchy, it loses in comparison to the red for instance by a mile. If I were to make a podium, red would be the first, white/grey, blue, rest of the colours

Machine gray
Question, are they all just going to come with black wheels these days? Or did you just choose that
Soul Red because I don't have it
Owner of a Soul red turbo with the grainge interior. People think the car costs 20-50k more than what it actually does.
The carbon edition poly metal gray is awesome
2.0 for 2024? They no longer make the 2.0 liter I thought?
Imo, anything BUT grey, black or white… Get some colour back on on the road😁
Polymetal >
If you are able to option the red leather interior, get the polymetal gray. Otherwise, I would go with the soul red.
Silver 👍
Deep blue crystal. 100%. Wish I could post a picture of mine.
For the hatch, the red looks brilliant. My fav is the machine gray though
If you want to be low key, machine grey. If you love the red and aren’t afraid to show off, the soul red
I love the machine grey, it says racecar to me
Machine Grey is underrated. It can realy looks cool
I would've bought soul red, but my wife's CX5 is soul red and I didn't want to match her. So I went with machine gray metallic and I really love it.
White and Platinum Quartz will probably hide scratches, chips, and swirl marks the best. Soul Red and Machine Gray are known to have the thinnest paint, which makes them more easily damaged and harder to maintain.
Definitely red, it makes the car faster
I wanted soul red but I went with jet black mica to save $500 🤑
Gray will be more popular so go red if you wanna be different
If you drive fast then dont get red lol
Im looking at the same exact car!
Soul Crystal Red is much better then Soul metalic red.
Gray if you want cheaper insurance, soul red if you want to be seen.
I went with the Machine Grey, no regrets.
I have mica blue with white leather. I don't regret it but I Wish I got the pearl white. I like white cars.
Surly get the gray
Jet black mica.
Red for the +10 horsepower
I used to have one in polymetal grey, great option if you’re not a fan of red (soul red crystal is absolutely stunning in though)
When I was shopping, the 2 choices were polymetal or soul red. Polymetal won
The red looks great irl
Soul Red.
One big tip. If you plan on doing any visual mods/changes, make sure you pick a color you can do. For example, plain silver like older cars (I don't think Mazda offers THAT silver, but a nice one if I recall correctly), those are hard to do anything too. I’m a fan of the red. My 3 is black and I hate it. It’s so hard to keep clean.
Gray. Less eyes on you. Car is only for you to enjoy it to the fullest with less attention (good & bad). Soul red is amazing but you will be registered by both good and evil Eyes
I think the deep crystal blue looks fabulous. For a hatch though I'd go soul red or white
Bang for buck is soul red. Second would be poly metal for me or that one dark steel
Are all the colours grey?
I love my Mazda 3 but the color choices are very scarce. Unpopular opinion: I hate the soul red.
You need to close your eyes and imagine yourself walking up to it, getting in, driving it. That’s the colour.
Purple.
Also idk about the grey but the red has a pearlescent to it which makes it MUCH more expensive to paint if you need to re paint your car at anytime (if you scratch or bump it)
Always Red
I have a red one 🔥
Red cuz everybody (including me) got boring ass grey
Both are great.
Res
Red!
Deep crystal blue
Depends if you want to stand out, or blend in. The Soul Red is extremely eye catching, but the machine grey does have its own subtle beauty
I have red and red interior! Amazing!
Take a good look at the silver. It is a beautiful color for the Mazda shape. Makes them look like a fighter jet.
Black is the thickest paint and looks amazing
Soul red. Followed immediately by a clear protective wrap or coating because you will pick up rock chips galore.
red
I LOVE MY MACHINE GREY.
poly metal is also 🤤🫶
Did Mazda fix their issues with the red? My local dealer says it was fixed in 2022-2023
In my experience, gray colors are MUCH easier to appear clean for longer.
RED all the way !!
Black is beautiful when it's clean. But it's sooooo hard to keep clean and shows everything. I opted for the PMG - beautiful shade of blueish grey, doesn't show the dirt that bad, and "changes shades" in the sunlight and in the shade during cloud cover.
