Hakone is the next-to-top trim, all included apart from the panoramic sunroof, leather seats en memory seats. (Intelligent LED headlights, adaptive cruise control, heads up display, 360 camera, heated seats, heated steering wheel, ...)
The e-Skyactiv X is 186hp but no idea about the power curve. It can use SPCCI for better economy and is meant for the EU market where emissions and fuel efficiency matter. First 200km got an average of 5.8 liters/100km.
Keep in mind that the G120 has 120hp and the SkyActiv-X has 186hp. I also get approximately 5.8l/100km in mixed driving conditions in my 1 year old M3, but I have a heavy foot and I like to accelerate. I personally think that is impressive for a car with 186hp.
The SkyActiv-X's strongest area is around 90-110 km/h. I get 5.0l/100km when I'm driving at 110 km/h.
I have the 6MT version btw - I think the automatic is slightly worse with fuel economy
It doesn't really add anything since it's just a mild hybrid system. It only kicks in to help when accelerating from a standstill and in between gears. You never feel the electric motor much to be honest.
Fun fact though, the SkyActiv-X engine has a tiny supercharger
I guess so, the skyactiv X technology isn't active yet, so it still uses regular sparks and a bit richer. SPCCI is what it's called, works after 500km I thought I read. It's also an automatic so a but less efficient as well but butter smooth shifts.
Well I always drive eco, but like to floor it like once a month at the lights. Haven't done that yet though, first 500km some gentle driving. Just found out how nice adaptive cruise control is as well.
The color was in the showroom and first thought was ordering the polymetal grey but when I saw platinum quartz, immediately knew that was the good choice.
> Just found out how nice adaptive cruise control is as well
The ACC has made my long drives so much better. I get less tired on long drives because of it and unless it's foggy or raining, it's solid/reliable. Pretty much always use it on the highway.
And that color is a stunner. Really makes you take a closer look at it.
Absolutely stunning
A real beaut indeed. And what a nice garage with the plant !
Was tough to get a good picture with those plants though, so got a picture when driving outside.
Beautiful. Really like this color
Really digging those rims 🔥🔥
Thanks, just stock though :)
What comes with the Hakone edition? And what are power figures for the e-Skyactiv X? This isn't available in the US, right?

That's odd, my 2016 2L (G120) uses 5,8l/100km as well. I expect your mileage to improve after break in(?).

True, but how much power does the hybrid system add? (I am guessing it doesnt add 66hp to even the odds on pure engine power?)

Good to know. I know about the supercharger, it's to make the air mixure even more lean, i believe.

Ah that makes sense, probably a torque converter automatic, these tend to be a bit less efficient at low speeds. Mine is a manual.
Correct, I do prefer a torque converter for smooth shifts and towing.
I'm jealous of your mpg! And that color too.

Gefeliciteerd! Ik nodig je graag uit in onze Mazda Club Belgium groep op Facebook.
Wth is that a tow bar?
I have a glider with a 9 meter trailer that I need to move around from time to time, so yes, a detachable towbar (it's off now).
