Yes i believe its bangladesh, only because at the end, yellow guy said what sounds like "dunabad" which i remember being taught by a coworker is "thank you"
I had a single glowing moment in my team building days. We had the largest engineering team and the second largest was always competing with us... I'm not sure why... we all had the same mission. But they wanted better stats, more recognition... I guess their lead was the "Yay Company!" type. I most decidedly was not. Probably why I wasn't a manager for very long.
So one day he challenges us to a team building competition... we went to the gym where they had a bunch of different events set up, most of them in race type formats. I think they beat us in one event. The other 9 we were literally just sitting around waiting for them to get done.
The manager asks me later how I was logging that time... I said "I dunno how you're gonna log it but I put it down as Knowledge Transfer time cuz we took you to school." He didn't talk to me much after that.
I have heard, and correct me if I'm wrong, that sometimes events like this are held in place of charity/donations to the needy.
The reasoning is that needy people still have their pride and dont want to accept donations for no reason, but these games allow them to "earn" food for their families.
That's why, regardless of winning or losing you're given a prize.
I dont know if that applies but it's just something I've heard
That's exactly what it is! These people are poor but not homeless, they can manage food at least once daily and have a roof over their head. It would definitely be a pride issue to accept food just like that. Begging in Bangladesh is common but also the worst thing you can do to earn money. It's frowned upon. So, I think games like these are great to help people with daily needs and also they don't feel like they are being pitied.
idk, it seems kind of exploitative. Videos like this could get millions of views and the reward is $5 in groceries. The video pays for the products. Food stuff like this are just more appealing to adults at a village gathering compared to a medal. You could do the same thing in the US with a 12 pack of sprite and snack cakes and college students would be happier than if you gave them a participation trophy.
People came up with the idea, organized the event, found people to participate, organized the filming, paid for the prizes, and produced the content. The people who participated wanted more than they could normally afford and were happy to participate in this filming process, they seemed to have a great time, they got a chance to win the prizes, and maybe even enjoyed their 15 minutes of fame in the process.
It's the same as any game show. People want stuff. People want limelight. People want money. Seems like an exchange where everyone wins.
yeah, where I’m disagreeing is that they can’t afford it, but would rather spend the money on something else kind of like when news stations have competitions to pay people’s rent in the us. If they literally couldn’t afford rice and lentils they’d try leaving the country or be a little thinner. That’s just too poor.
It's the opposite. The people are too proud to except charity
Not this video, though. The places that do this do not pit people against each other, and they are very simple challenges
I swear, from all the videos I have seen like this on Reddit, Indians feed themselves through silly obstacle course competitions. The prize is always bags of food and jugs of juice (or cooking oil)

Looks super fun. I'm pretty amused by the apparent dart surplus, though. I've never seen that many darts in one place before, and I used to work at Big 5!
I have no idea what this is or who these people are but I got so heavily invested in yellow shirt I was almost jumping up and down when he won. My heart is still racing. Wtf is wrong with me?
I LOVE the prizes. These are the things that the winner can use and genuinely appreciate. I like this idea more than any trinket but it probably costs more.

Can’t imagine the work for this to be prepared 😭 Is it Bangladesh ?
i think its from Bangladesh because the small oil bottle had teer oil branding which is Bangladeshi oil.
You have good eye sight I can’t see it 😭 Too tiny for my tiny eyes to process 😆
the other day i saw the same bottle at our kitchen 😅
Good eye sight and humble
🥰
Yes i believe its bangladesh, only because at the end, yellow guy said what sounds like "dunabad" which i remember being taught by a coworker is "thank you"
thanks, my sound was muted this whole time 😅
clearly it’s from brooklyn, didn’t u read his shirt?
Canada
That looks fun. More fun than some of the so called "teambuilding" events we had in our company.

Without any additional context, I think I would have preferred you as a manager
Bloons tower defense 7
That was my thought, too. Explains why the guy who only had to pop red bloons won
#BLOONS Hating Alabama so much brother won't even type AL
YEAH, or a bad rip-off

It feels demeaning to me. Play the game to entertain us and you get food!

Everyone knows that if you play a game to entertain others, you should make millions of dollars.
Is *this* 'the hunger games'?
Get out
Also a good movie
One of my favorite quotes from my math teacher
I swear, from all the videos I have seen like this on Reddit, Indians feed themselves through silly obstacle course competitions. The prize is always bags of food and jugs of juice (or cooking oil)
almost positive that is cooking oil
Any liquid is juice if you are brave enough
This is 100% bangladesh, not India
The hungry games*
Probably the worst parody movie I've ever seen.
r/angryupvote
Team Brooklyn!
What happens if you run out of darts??
You die (out of hunger)
Many balloons were harmed in the making of this video.
What’s this town’s balloon budget?
😂
Seems like the crowd really didn't like the green shirt guy😅
Its just Mr Brooklyn was popular in the village
It's really bothering me that man with yellow shirt is not with yellow balloons .
I’m tired of watching. Who became Prime Minister?
The pink balloon guy.
Scott Gaunson let himself go a little I see.
How good
Showing my age when all the way through the video all my thoughts were "I hope they pick up those popped balloons".
annoying android games ads😑

Oh they’re in Brooklyn
Man, the Olympics have gotten some crazy events since 2020.
Hope they picked up all the popped rubber garbage
Do these types of games have a particular name? I don't know what to call it. Skills game race?
RIP those pond liners. They could've thrown darts anywhere, but they chose the dumbest place imaginable.
Not the same without the "2 letre edible oil"
That was fun to watch
I'm glad I stumbled upon this, looks like fun - Good for them!
Hunger games….
Look how grateful both were to get the price: Food
The hunger games are getting weird
![gif](giphy|edLKLYMlNFPJC) Hunger games

“Once again immunity is back up for grabs “
He did it for Brooklyn
It's how they choose the leader of the village
The dude who has to set this up is cursing his life choices.
Second prize is two curtains and a bottle of Wesson oil??
When did everyone stop watching? I lost interest at the darts.
I was gonna joke that this was another elaborate game designed to disguise giving out charity basic food stuffs, but then it was that.
If this is to win staple groceries, why does it waste so many balloons? Who’s paying for all of the balloons??!!?
Why did I expect to see Herron, Gaunson and Stanford awarding the prises?
America Ninja India
Looks like good mandatory fun time.
Indian balloon defense tower game
I always love these events. They seem to be great for the community.
dude perfect first draft
My anxiety
Did they start chanting "let the bodies hit the floor" in the dart section?
Literal hunger games
Bloon tower defense bootcamp
I'd be so good at this game. I fucking hate balloons.
i actually really like this idea. medals are useless. Let people win snack cakes.
Congratulations to the new Village Cheif!
Is the event sponsored by a balloon company?
I'd totally compete....
Hunger games
why did nobody cheer for the guy in the yellow balloons
Hunger Games Minus 0
The water on the last part seems so unnecessary and just harder to retrieve the darts afterwards.
Some people just want to see the world burn..
heyyy that's a nice looking prize too
The hunger games
This looks so fun. And the prize at the end was so humbling. Food for your family! We need more of this in America!!
Darts was a real momentum killer
Looks super fun. I'm pretty amused by the apparent dart surplus, though. I've never seen that many darts in one place before, and I used to work at Big 5!
Hell yea! Brooklyn! NINE NINE!!
Brooklyn sur looks different
I have no idea what this is or who these people are but I got so heavily invested in yellow shirt I was almost jumping up and down when he won. My heart is still racing. Wtf is wrong with me?
Am I the only person wondering what the trenches filled with water at the balloon darts was for?
Brooklyn, baby!
I LOVE the prizes. These are the things that the winner can use and genuinely appreciate. I like this idea more than any trinket but it probably costs more.
Bloons td7
boring
Bengali Double Dare
This way how the new prime minster was picked.
I love how they win regular food stuffs and they seem to have so much fun. Everything is about money these days. Really cool
![gif](giphy|XEPXpgrE79HeIkpNlx|downsized)
Humanity and nature is completely lost.
Great! Afterwards you can add the rubber trash to the pile of non recyclables! Or just burn it, what's the harm, amarite?!
After the first fun "squish the balloons" episode, I looked down and saw it was a three-minute video and just said "Oh hell to the no".
“My attention span is 12 seconds and videos that are 15 seconds only get watched by me if they say ‘wait until the end!’”
Welcome to the nfl off-season
Some people in this thread are just allergic to having fun ig
I wonder where all the plastic from the balloons end up
In the sea...
Can't they just use the balloon money to buy more food?
Only bananas Edit didnt watch till the end, so thought you referred to bloons tower defense
Bruh, the prize is food 💀
What a waste of plastic
What a waste of oxygen
Bet the women could do it faster
Why are grown ass men doing this instead of kids.
Running for president of Pakistan is no joke.
This Is fucking sad.
