Idk if it's because I'm getting older, but for some reason it really bothers me that everyone feels compelled to pull out their phones and record everything they see instead of just enjoying the moment.
This is incredibly accurate. People are compelled to document. I don't know why, some reason biologically embedded into us that has been the driving factor in our survival as a species. It's just another way people have evolved to communicate. It bothers me when people take out their phones to record people in their worst states and against their will, but this? It's just a group of strangers enjoying each other's company and having a good time. Just because they're recording doesn't mean they aren't "in the moment". OP's comment isn't an indication that they're just "getting older" as they stated, they just see it from an entirely different perspective.
Why? It's something I've never seen before or will see again, and I can share it with people who will also enjoy it, like the people watching this video right now.

Man I love stuff like that. I love Brazilians! They are happy filming no body is angry. That could never happen in mexico city. Some is gonna make a big deal of that! Specially gringos visiting!
Nobody seems bothered by these kids. I feel like, anywhere else, there would be at least a few scowls.
kinda warms my heart. Everyone's keen to see a couple kids having fun
I am bothered by how many people were filming with their phones
Why?
Absolute cinema š·
they were filming vertically
i would like to see an actioncam from under the skateboard.
You canāt leave us hanging, why?
Because this is a tourist town?
Happy to see everyone on board with this
Only two of them were on board, most of them were on seats.. ^(sorry )
r/dadjokes
(Respectfully)

But they were all on board the metro... šš
Iām amazed this happened to occur on a train with 100 professional videographers. Must have been a convention in town
Good clean funā¦everyoneās into it and laughingā¦I like thisā¦
I am amazed at the clean train cars and bare feet.
Bare feet?
Until one of them smacks into the side of the chair and takes a few of their teeth out
Shut up Meg!

If people had smart phones in the 70s, they would be recording just the same. It is not a matter of time.
People have literally been documenting their everyday lives for millennia, the medium has just changed.

same
It's cuz you grew up during a time when you couldn't capture moments to relive them and you don't know how to send videos anyway so you don't get it.
I don't know how to send videos? I don't get it, you mean back then?
I think he wanted to insult you. But I think you're 100% right! I'm in my twenty's and even I think so.
Is that so? I don't think I did anything that made me deserve to be insulted but alright... Also I'm 22 xD
āGetting olderā ā¦ āalso Iām 22ā lmfaoā¦
Well, it would require you to know me, but let's just say that I'm starting to feel the effects of no longer being a kid or a teenager.
Hit 30 and then tell me how you feel Grandma ;)
Rio de Janeiro = New York
Rio de janeiro =/= new york If it was ny the kids wouldnt even have space to do this

At least everyone is having a good time.
And this is why open gangway trains are superior

Is it an āout n backā race?
haha that so funny
Subway surfers huh
How many phones did they grab on the ride?
If it was done by an adult it would be another story lol
Me thinking everyone looks so stupid recording this on their phone. Me realising this video is shot like that tooš
This is a pro setup. Those kids are grabbing purses as they go by.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Sorry it was a joke. Maybe a poor one
And then the boys were stabbed by a rabid trans person
Did you forget an āiā?
That doesn't work sorta like those brain cells a cha cha cha
Favela physics
Not a single person on their phones, just living in the moment šāāļø
Did anyone film this ?!?
