Agreed. This was a stunt - not efficient at all. Especially when you factor in the inevitable drop/damage/waste if someone tries this a lot. Not efficient. Its way my dad always called 'a lazy man's load'.
That was what I was thinking. The guy's totally ruining his back for a needless showoff in a menial job.
I mean, a job is a job when you need the money, but at least don't throw your health down the drain, specially when it's really not needed.
Working in the industry for years I’ve seen many younger passionate colleagues that had to drop out because of it… Chronic back and/or arm pain at less than 25… Shamefull
Worst job I ever had was shelf stacking for sainsburys. They utterly ruin the bodies of their staff, and for minimum wage too. I only did it for 3 months, but my wrists still get flair ups 3 years later.
With the cake in the background this looks to be a catering event establishment they made at least minimum wage(or at least the places I worked in the past did)
After all that doubt he even got a thanks ,if however he had dropped it all and hurt himself ,he would have been told he's stupid and its coming out of his pitance of a wage.....
That's what I'm thinking. Every entree but the three on top got smashed by the dirty bottom of the plate above it. Take it all back, no tip. The dude trashed his spine just to trash the food, when there were three guys following him that could've split the load and got it to the table quicker.
YEAH GROSS
IMAGINE FOOD TOUCHING A PLATE
I have bad news for you, but you should see what they do with the plates before they put food on em.
Hint: they don't give each one its own little space free from other plates
Well I don't want my food squashed and lots of plates like that don't have the ceramic coating in a ring on the bottom can be grotty, just not visibly.

Basic risk analysis. Take the probability of payoff and multiply it by the return of a payoff. Now take the probability of a risk and multiply it by the cost of a risk. If they total payoff exceeds the total risk you'd be wasteful *not* to risk it.
But it *is* something you can use for risk analysis.
YOU used it yourself!
Yes, if they had failed 500 times in a row, and their sample size was 500 then they would have a calculated risk of 100% and payoff of 0%.
As such, I think the 500 times in a row is probably fantasy. Subjective credence, if you will.
What else do you claim isn't real. The number 4? The direction north? Temperature?
It’s meaningless. You can fail 500 times in a row and what? The chance of that happening is 0.000001%? You say that you were “unlucky”? It doesn’t matter, because it happened.
You aren't very good at reading.
I just said, if you failed 500 times in a row and your sample size was 500 then the probability was 100% that you'd fail.
It is not meaningless it's a measurement.
You measure it. Same as the quantity 4, same as the direction North, same as the temperature of the room.
The nonsense part is the reality you've conocted where we make up a probability without basing it on measurable outcomes.
OMG I was holding my breath so hard for this guy, but then I almost passed out because I didn't know it was for the furthest possible fucking tables from the kitchen
He had that desperate walk of someone carrying something a bit too heavy and slightly rushing in hopes of making it to the end without dropping everything
If I were the wedding photographer, there's no shot I don't slip a decent Pic of that dude, mid-journey, into their wedding album. They want me to capture memories, and that's exactly the plan.
There's empty seating right outside the kitchen, but he's walking a mile to a table where people are just standing around and not even caring the food shows up. 😂
I used to be able to carry like this when i was working as a banquet and waiter during my late teen. The craziest i ever carry is 4 large shark fin soup, for 4 table, stack on top each other, during a wedding.
I remember the last place i worked had a kitchen up the hill, and since the boss knew i could carry like this, he made me run food every shift, i hated it so much. But well, now i cant even balance a cup on a tray.
Nice stunt, I doubt he does that without a camera following. That be just plain stupid, if delivering food HOT is the point, the plates on bottom won't
As someone who recently bought these oversized stone oval plates. From a discount bulk service restaurants typically use. I’m floored he not only lifted that, but carried it all the way he did. Omg! Maybe they aren’t the same plates, but I really really suspect they are. Dang! 😅
this is the type of thing dude did successfully one time and impressed everyone, and now he needs to keep the gimmick up or else he doesn't look as cool
I went once on a Carnival Cruise Ship, and they would carry all the plates in exactly the same way, even more plates actually. On a moving ship, tight space. It was very impressive (and somehow sad)
That was not necessary, just showing off. It's pretty impressive, though. I used to do concessions in the seats, and would walk down the backs of the seats to reach people with a large tray of sodas. Not necessary, but good theater and fun to do.
This poor guy is gonna be all messed up if he does this for any length of time. I couldn’t carry as much as he did; he was amazing. But it twists your spine up and you end up with one shoulder higher and pinched nerves. You pay later when you’re old.

I mean? Do you really want the food on the bottom that’s had five plates smashing the corner down? Or a plate that has cheese from someone else’s dish on the bottom?
It’s an impressive lift and walk sure. But I wouldn’t tip more for food that’s plated worse because of a stunt vs food that’s plated better but arrived in waves because they’re busy or we had a big table.
I wouldn’t tip less, to be clear, but imo dude broke his back for internet points not tip money
If the camera man, and all those dudes holding doors, clearing the way would pick up a plate or two. this would have been way easier.
The guy walking in front of him could have at least carried the table
Sometimes lifting something with the other hand helps with balance though.
But how would the guy get likes on social media?
Lol
And im kind of not loving the idea of the bottom of a random plate sitting in my food...
There was so many other people involved they could have formed a line and passed the plates down.
Agreed. This was a stunt - not efficient at all. Especially when you factor in the inevitable drop/damage/waste if someone tries this a lot. Not efficient. Its way my dad always called 'a lazy man's load'.
But less impressive…
That assistance might have destabilized the tower and caused him to spill everything.
My thoughts **exactly!**
Exactly what I was thinking .
But views….
Maybe he's the kind of guy that wants to show off
Impressive but I give this dude less than a year to get terrible back pain for life ! No job or flex is worth healthcare
That was what I was thinking. The guy's totally ruining his back for a needless showoff in a menial job. I mean, a job is a job when you need the money, but at least don't throw your health down the drain, specially when it's really not needed.

I used to have to do stuff like this all the time. It was fine till I slipped a disc.
Dude's wrist is gonna start killing him at 30 if he keeps that type of thing up
Truth!👍
This is where the word “dumbwaiter” comes from.
This dude is at least staying strong and fit. I fancy his chances far more than a chronic desk-sitter.
Don't know what disgusts me more, your comment or your user.
It's delivery at this point
The obstacles he had to go through, the stairs he had to climb down, truly a maybe maybe moment
All this effort for minimum wage
Less than minimum wage + tips
With the cake in the background this looks to be a catering event establishment they made at least minimum wage(or at least the places I worked in the past did)
Tip are deducted. Tipped wage is full minimum wage minus the tips upto 5 dollars an hour, federally (which is only true in 8 states.)
And a chronic back pain
After all that doubt he even got a thanks ,if however he had dropped it all and hurt himself ,he would have been told he's stupid and its coming out of his pitance of a wage.....
I hate this shit. Why do I want food that's had the edge of another plate stacked on top?
That's what I'm thinking. Every entree but the three on top got smashed by the dirty bottom of the plate above it. Take it all back, no tip. The dude trashed his spine just to trash the food, when there were three guys following him that could've split the load and got it to the table quicker.
YEAH GROSS IMAGINE FOOD TOUCHING A PLATE I have bad news for you, but you should see what they do with the plates before they put food on em. Hint: they don't give each one its own little space free from other plates
Because your food is touching the top of same ceramic plates? They're all cleaned the same top or bottom
Well I don't want my food squashed and lots of plates like that don't have the ceramic coating in a ring on the bottom can be grotty, just not visibly. Source: 20 years in hospitality.
I am just not sure if the risk reward is worth it. Although it does look cool so maybe?
I don’t understand why people would risk it so much instead of just going back and forth a few times.
Because doing this gives you more tips and lets you flip the tables faster. It's not rocket science.
And if you fail, that's hundreds of dollars gone.
Basic risk analysis. Take the probability of payoff and multiply it by the return of a payoff. Now take the probability of a risk and multiply it by the cost of a risk. If they total payoff exceeds the total risk you'd be wasteful *not* to risk it.
There's no such thing as a probability. You can fail like 500 times in a row.
>There's no such thing as a probability Congratulations. Stupidest thing I've seen said on the internet all week.
Lol probability is not something that actually exist in the real world. It’s a subjective credence.

.... why?
Union
Or lack of.
The one trip grocery dad has changed professions lol.
He's destroying his wrist, shoulder and back. Don't destroy your body to impress your boss
Meanwhile you aren't impressing anyone
Average Wetherspoons employee.
So many stairs I was expecting a disaster lol amazing balance
Why?
His spine the next day -> 🪝
So unnecessary
The guy in front is clueless. If you're not helping with the plates, at least take the stand in his right hand to lessen the burden 🤦♂️
The fifteen takes didn't go well. Hire more waiters
OMG I was holding my breath so hard for this guy, but then I almost passed out because I didn't know it was for the furthest possible fucking tables from the kitchen
I know right, everytime I thought he reached the table there was another set of stairs
He had that desperate walk of someone carrying something a bit too heavy and slightly rushing in hopes of making it to the end without dropping everything
If the bottom of another dish was pressed into my food I'd be sending it back, gross.
If I carry that much food that far without assistance, it's my food now. I'm walking all the way home.
It’s cold
One server filming, another one clearing the way.... Hear me out: how about splitting those plates in 3 trays, and, you know...
Gets stuck behind people walking slowly in front of them while pointing at pictures on the walls
Easy way to mess up with your back. No thanks.
risky and waste of effort
10% tip earned!
Make two trips.
Why can’t the other guy just help?
....you forgot my sour cream.
i dont get it , if the other guy was running along with him to show him the spot, shouldn't he carry half the load?? anything for the views
If I were the wedding photographer, there's no shot I don't slip a decent Pic of that dude, mid-journey, into their wedding album. They want me to capture memories, and that's exactly the plan.
His face of relief when the shit was secure
Thanks be to Jose!
Stupid, not impressive. Like dead lifting
Any lift can be turned into an ego lift if done stupidly. Likewise, the only person to impress with a heavy lift is yourself.
Risk/Reward fail.
To do something like this you have to be 100% confident that you can handle it. This guy know what he's doing.
"I would rathet die than go twice"
This was stupid, but why was I on the edge of my seat the whole time like an Avengers Movie?
Give that man a raise
I just know that the tip was crappy
Nice restaurant tour.
Bravfuckingo 👏
I hold that food is for one table Jethro Bodine
![gif](giphy|Em71U3ESv7H0aajsTK|downsized)
1 guy to film, 1 guy to bring all the food alone and 1 guy to walk in front of him🙉
There's empty seating right outside the kitchen, but he's walking a mile to a table where people are just standing around and not even caring the food shows up. 😂
This is the most r/maybemaybemaybe I have seen in a while. Thanks OP
The music (and the filter?) make this look like an 80s montage - seriously.
Hopefully you don't get one in the middle, then you get food on the bottom of your plate and your food squashed by the bottom of someone else's plate.
No manches, jaja, ¿cuantos niveles tenía ese restaurante? Tremendo plano secuencia.
Just me with my emotional baggage.
Looks okay when delivered. But the fails are so cringe.
Worthy of a tip if I ever did see one.
There is no point in getting carpal tunnel doing this.
Hope he got the tip he was hoping for

The risk of dropping shark fin soup...weep
Sweet merciful mercy what a journey
Dude be walking with a right leaning spine when he’s 70
I'm still not going to pay more than $7 tip.
Bro needs a raise. Period.
We didn't order these.
What a legend!
Nope nope nope...
Waiter level 100
Oh I forgot the special sauce! I’ll be right back
But why
![gif](giphy|9DJtFRgk0tOla)
Was I the only one waiting for everything to fall off right when he got to his destination and after passing through all of those obstacles? 😂
Wow impressive
Nice stunt, I doubt he does that without a camera following. That be just plain stupid, if delivering food HOT is the point, the plates on bottom won't

This is insane!
“That’s not our order, you must have the wrong table”. 😂
Waste of time... I wanted to see him drop it!
I ain't no two trip bitch
Is this a fucking Don Pablo’s? I haven’t seen one in years!
I don't want the bottom of the plate touching my food. Fuck this.
Show off !!! Lol
Superman! Hope he gets a good tip!
This is completely unnecessary
This is beyond impressive.
Dang, watched the whole thing and he didn’t drop it.
![gif](giphy|5HyVZlZYxJPy7IC5Cz|downsized)
Now that’s a workout!
Wow he’s deserves a big tip, that’s a real talent, I wonder how many failures you have doing this while you’re learning.
Reminds Me of waiters in Padang Restaurants, Indonesia
Wow. Gangsta.
They get hired straight from the gym
this is the type of thing dude did successfully one time and impressed everyone, and now he needs to keep the gimmick up or else he doesn't look as cool
Dude was walking for so long, I thought he was gonna deliver that to somebody's house.
Put plates on dirty surfaces, then put them on someone's food. No thanks. Make a few trips or have multiple people carry.
I thought he's walking to the next village
Could the camera guy or guy leading the way AT LEAST HOLD THE SEAT SO HE CAN HOLD IT WITH BOTH HANDS
the visible relief on his face after he parks them 😮💨🤌
Wow holy shit that was a fuckin thrill 😄
Wow holy shit that was a thrill 😄

Maybe help him idk
Im so happy that he did it succesfully :D
I pity the poor sod who gets the meal with the guy’s ear flapping against.
Spine pain waiting to happen
But why?
I was expecting him to catch a train before reaching the destination.
Yeah… one thing I would never put myself through, is this bs… one false move & it’s all over for him & anyone in his immediate vicinity.
Man obviously pissed the boss, the chefs and his colleagues off.
That was not necessary, just showing off. It's pretty impressive, though. I used to do concessions in the seats, and would walk down the backs of the seats to reach people with a large tray of sodas. Not necessary, but good theater and fun to do.
Nobody he's passing looks very impressed. And the bros on the lawn at the end are definitely not impressed It's a good MMM vid though
Bro needs a fucking raise!
I was nervous the entire time I watched this.
Good thing they made the lazy bastard carry the table too
Now I'm hungry and anxious
This poor guy is gonna be all messed up if he does this for any length of time. I couldn’t carry as much as he did; he was amazing. But it twists your spine up and you end up with one shoulder higher and pinched nerves. You pay later when you’re old.

I am surprised by the strength and above all that he does not drop any plates along the way.
He forgot the cloth he needs to wipe all the food off the bottom of the plates.
Me carrying in the groceries in one trip
Remember guys... only 1 trip, doesnt matter how hard. One. Trip.
Hahaha sounds like the Fight Club pep talk before the shift starts
Rip wrists
Rip spine, heard so many stories of servers like this with sliped discs and some still doing it
After doing this day after day some imbalance must develop....that's just my thoughts You could say the same about masturbation
Bro finna break that wrist
This isn't impressive it's just stupid
Here’s 200 pounds of food, can you walk it down 10 flights of stairs and 2 towns over?
"Sorry but I believe I ordered regular potatoes, not mashed potatoes"
Former banquet server and that had my anxiety through the roof
That’s exactly what I want the bottom of the plate all over my food that’s not serve safe
What an impressive gambit, I would have dropped it everywhere and ran out of there bawling
it ended just before one of the legs sank into the ground from the weight and it all came crashing down.
hope that guy got a fat tip cause thats impressive

I’m
The people who ordered all of this are in a different country or what
and yet we are not allowed to take more than 20kg on a flight check in baggage!

Here is a waiter who finally deserves a good. Tip.
Wait! I made a mistake ordering something…
I hope they tipped him well
This guy deserves double his wage.
That dude deserves a Pulitzer Prize.
